The venue itself is beautiful and serves as a blank canvas that allows you to decorate and design it however you'd like. I really love the modern aesthetic. From the outside, you'd never guess how stunning it is inside. It looks more like an office parking area at first glance, but there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus, and the location right off the freeway is super convenient. Once you're inside, it's absolutely gorgeous. There's even a separate cocktail hour room, which is such a cool feature. It can get a little warm at times, but the design more than makes up for it. There are leather chairs, black and brick backdrops, and beautiful garage-style doors that add a lot of character. The exposed brick walls give it that warm, modern industrial vibe that looks great in photos. The bathrooms are also very clean, which is something guests and vendors both appreciate. Overall, The BLOC is a hidden gem of a venue. I'd be excited to attend another event there as a guest or work one again as a vendor.

She was extremely communicative, organized, detail oriented, energetic, and patient. Having never been married we often had questions! She was always more than willing to answer our questions and offer us suggestions. She ensured that our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. We can't in words express the amount of gratitude we have for Sydney because without her, we feel like our wedding would not have been the same amazing experience that it was. We chose the Vineyard package and upgraded to have light blue linens to match our color scheme. We also chose to have an open bar for all of our guests. We loved having these options to customize our day. They also allowed for us to bring in all of our decorations on the day before our wedding which made for a much easier day of the wedding. The getting ready rooms for the bridal party were exactly what we needed. There was plenty of room for the 5 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids + glam squad of 4 to help us all get ready. MVI provided us with glassware, waters, and a mini fridge that we were able to use for those pre ceremony mimosas. The food, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. Our communication with the included vendors were all fantastic. Ambiance floral for flowers and Devine Bakery for our cake all made sure to bring our visions to life. Overall My husband and I are extremely satisfied with MVI and would recommend this venue and Sydney to any couples in search of an all inclusive but customizable wedding venue.

My now husband and I were long-distance and out-of-state throughout the entire duration of planning and Keilah and Cory were especially exceptional at accommodating our needs. From keeping us on track through their binder to reassuring us at each follow-up meeting, we felt supported through every step. All around, the venue is beautiful and offers great amenities - the package upgrades are totally worth it - plus very picturesque settings. When it comes to upgrades, I will note that something I noticed during our initial tour and their spring showcase was that the champagne chairs are pretty damaged. I would definitely recommend that the team replace those if possible. Otherwise, I highly recommend upgrading to the photobooth if possible! The day of, everything was beautiful. Keilah was incredibly organized even while navigating through delays at our separate ceremony venue. Summer was also amazing at everything and made us feel like we didn't even have to worry about the itinerary after taking over later in the night for Keilah - apart from a slight delay in handing out LED party sticks we had brought in to be distributed to the dance floor once the partying kicked up - which after a reminder from the groom to the best man and best man to staff was quickly sorted. Food was delicious with many of our guests complimenting it still - big thanks to Chef Jamil for stopping by our sweetheart table and going above and beyond for our day. We're unsure if it could have been freshly delivered from the bakery or if it was the kitchen, but we would have loved the cake to have been a little more thawed out by the cake cutting as it was still slightly frozen which did lead it to fall apart at that time and took away from the taste for us as the couple - the cake was thawed out in time for the guests slices though! We heard plenty of compliments from guests about the bartenders service so big thanks to Kelly and Becca who were also so kind during clean-up! When it comes to preferred vendors through Wedgewood, we highly recommend API Photography - Daniel was absolutely fantastic and even folded our groomsmens pocket squares beautifully before the ceremony - I will update with pictures once I receive them because I know that definitely helped me in my search! Pretty Sweet Bakery was great to work with as well, offering affordable packages, great flavor options, and providing beautiful guest favors. Working with Tamara and Brittany from Carriage House Farms (florals) was my favorite. They are passionate about what they do and understand navigating affordability. They are incredibly talented and communicate promptly. We would have loved earlier and more consistent communication from the DJ company that Wedgewood recommended as we had no communication from them until a week before the wedding. Thankfully the Wedgewood team was able to send over our playlist and itinerary ASAP and once we connected with our DJ, Michael, he was incredible to work with and extremely energetic and enthusiastic - even letting the brother of the bride on the decks at one point - resulting in a very fun and memorable night!! We booked this venue about 1.5 years before our wedding date. They provided timelines and suggestions on what to do to prepare for your wedding. Then reminded you when you had appointments coming up and were flexible if you were running slightly late. They had tons of options to make the wedding personalized for you, from the food to the decorations and even the timeline. I told them that I did not want to be stressed out at my wedding, I had heard horror stories about brides not enjoying their wedding because of this or that. Liz did a fantastic job of wrangling all the wedding party together, organizing the first looks, putting someone in charge to make sure we got some of the food we purchased. I threw last minute add-ons like drone pictures and a remote control car with a 2 yr old in it at her and she handled as the pro she is. We used the recommended flower shop (Camino Flower shop) to provide the flowers. She is such a fun lady to work with. I'm not a person who usually can express exactly what I want, but she read between the lines and created a truely unique bouquet with the blue orchids (did you know there was such a thing?). We also used Cocomont (not included the wedgewood package) to help us with our decoration. This included a elegant rustic wooden panel and huge drapes to go high into the beams. It really added the personal touch we were looking for. Frank's Bakery from Cameron Park was the vendor for our desserts. He made the most delicious lemon bars and cupcakes. Then Grant DJ was our MC, who kept the party going till it was time to turn-off the lights. We were dancing all night long, with no lulls in the music. Overall this is a romantic, elegant, and beautiful venue run by a management who are truely the professionals at what they do. I was able to actually enjoy my wedding and not worry about whether we were on time. This is something you won't hear many brides say, just ask your friends. We got married here last weekend and I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the Forest House Lodge…read morestaff. The weather forecast changed drastically last minute (literally went down 20 degrees in one week with huge rain). They reassured us by having three backup plans and we did not have to make a decision until one hour prior to ceremony for them to set up or change sites (indoor vs outdoor). While we were dying to have an outdoor ceremony for the amazing view, we ultimately decided to have the ceremony indoors and it was amazing. They transformed the space into this super intimate and beautiful ceremony and I can't help but feel it's how it was meant to happen. We were also lucky enough to have a ten minute break in weather so we ran up to the ceremony site to take pictures with our photographer. The ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious, and we felt like we were in such great hands with the forest house lodge staff.
