We could see signs that our pellet stove needed service soon. I found Will on Yelp and his company was near our area. Sent a text via Yelp and he responded within a couple of hours. We scheduled a time for him to come out the next day. Got here and prepped his area to contain the soot and started right up. We had just moved in 8 1/2 months ago and we had no clue if it had been cleaned before. Turns out it hasn't been. Will worked efficiently and effectively. Got on the roof and made sure everything was cleaned and in tip top shape. Cleaned his area and left it better than it was before. The stove was very full of soot and he did a great job in getting it all out even in all the crevices in the machine. Definitely worth the investment to get this done annually!! I called Will this morning about a chimney cleaning and asked about availability. He told me that he had 5 chimneys to clean today...but if he could find time to fit me in ..that he would . We recently purchased a home in the area and it was thoroughly inspected including the wood burning stove and fireplace and no issues arose besides that since the home had been vacant they were both filthy and needed cleaning. We called a competitor out to clean them and he told us very matter of factly that both were simply "too old"(they aren't) and needed to be replaced in their entirety. He wanted thousands and thousands of dollars. What an unfortunate surprise to be greeted with after just moving in! It didn't feel right, so I gave Willy a call for a second opinion. He was prompt and courteous and so knowledgeable. He didn't try to take advantage of us or sell us on unnecessary things. I was bad. I did not sweep my pellet stove stove pipe for a couple years. Willy was truly amazing and dedicated. He did an extremely thorough job of sweeping my stovepipe and cleaning my pellet stove even mentioning to me it's not very safe to go as long as I did. Did he charge me more? Penalize me? No. He was at my house for at least an hour, had all the proper equipment and tools for the job, was respectful of my carpet and had drop cloths. Didn't let the dogs out. Worked efficiently. Very reasonable cost considering how much he had to clean. I have had my stove swept by a few companies over the years, none as good as Will. "Will" definitely be calling him again next year.
