Great spot to stop for a snack or a mid day pick me up. Delicious baked goods. Closest thing Copperhill has to a bakery downtown.

Love their baked goods and coffee. Of course any of their soaps smell incredible too. Such a fun place to go and hang out!

While visiting McCaysville with my family, we made a stop at Yellowbird Coffee Shop as part of our…read moreday riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, and it ended up being such a charming little spot. The shop itself is small, retro, and really cool it looks like something that could have existed in the 1970s, but with a modern twist. When you walk in, there isn't any indoor seating. Instead, it's more of a walk-up counter experience where you place your order. Around the shop you'll find different stationery items for purchase, like bumper stickers, greeting cards, notebooks, and other fun little finds. I ordered a hot chocolate for my toddler and a latte for myself, and both were perfect especially because it was freezing outside that day. The warmth of the drinks hit the spot. While there's no seating indoors, there is plenty of outdoor seating on the patio area, which overlooks the river and offers a really nice view. Because of the cold weather during our visit, we didn't stay to sit and enjoy it, but on a warmer day I could definitely see it being a lovely place to linger. From what we saw walking around, this seemed to be the only coffee shop in the immediate area, and it's easy to understand why locals love it. It's small, charming, and the staff was very friendly, making it a memorable little stop during our visit.

It is located in a small plaza that's tucked away in the corner so it is easy to miss especially because it is a small smaller structured building. So, keep in mind to be sure to look directly to your right towards the end of the first lane when you're driving into the plaza. As far as a coffee, I do believe that it was very fresh and they had a decent amount of options for flavors. Right now they have the holiday flavor so of course I had to try the cookie butter latte. I am a firm believer of ensuring that a coffee has great taste in addition to still being able to taste the actual coffee which I believe this shot did a great job at. It's not too sweet and it's also not better either. My fiancé got the white chocolate raspberry latte which was super tasty. He's not the biggest coffee drinker and he said that this is probably the best coffee that he's ever had. It is 100% worth a try. if you're in the area, this is definitely a place that you should check out

I wanted to try their pancakes but didn't want a full stack, and our server Robin was wonderful in recommending the Sweet Start. One thing we really appreciated is that all breakfast entrees include coffee or tea, and the prices are already very reasonable. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we ordered specialty coffees, we could still enjoy complimentary refills of regular coffee. The restaurant has a charming and unique atmosphere, with every table looking a little different from the next. For my meal, I ordered the Sweet Start, which included one pancake, eggs, and bacon. I also appreciated the transparency from the staff. When I asked for an extra serving of their homemade pecan butter, I was informed upfront that there would be an additional charge....a level of honesty that's surprisingly rare these days. My husband ordered the Banana Nut French Toast comes with homemade whipped cream and homemade pecan butter, which also came with bacon. He added a side of eggs as well. Everything was delicious. I'm especially particular about pancakes, and I can honestly say they serve some of the best pancakes I've had. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy all the staff seemed to be. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely return the next time we're in the area.
