Dr Mary Shuh is a very intelligent and caring podiatrist. She helped me with my plantar wart which has been VERY stubborn. She gave me an action plan to get rid of it and a prevention tactic for the future. She's also very kind and straight to the point -- she doesn't let you wonder which is very comforting and helpful. She outlines the process from start to finish. It's very much appreciated from someone who likes problems solved. The first time there was a bit of a wait but once I was in her office, it was worth it. Not much of a wait the second time, though I was prepared to wait. Really friendly staff, takes PPO. Great experience! Highly recommend for plantar warts. She also answered a lot of my other questions about minor ankle pain and my arch. read more

Dr Mary Shuh is INCOMPETENT, COMPLACENT AND HAS POOR JUDGMENT. On my first appointment I had NO PAIN. I saw her to simply to ask if there was anything I could do to prevent further curling of my toes. She gave me some stretches, great. I had orthotics with meterarsal pads. I told her they were comfortable, and I had no pain. She said they were old (true) . She took out a blue pair. I told her I needed ones with a metatarsal pad. She held one under one foot and pressed it against my foot saying it stretched out my toes ( yes only when pressing up with her hand. (She fooled me. It did not press up straighten my toes when just standing/walking) Sold it to me for $87. Day after day my right foot became very painful. After a week I could barely weight bear. I call her office. I was told someone will get back to me. Not true. I scheduled another appointment. She accepted return of the orthotic (It's been more than 2 months and they did not send a check as promised, even though they claimed they did. So, I disputed the charge through my credit card). While I complained of severe pain, she did not examine my right foot. I went on vacation unable to weight bear on the right front and side of my right foot. I walked awkwardly. I had a lot of walking in Bangkok and Singapore. Also had to climb steps. The right foot pain got worse and worse. In Singapore I noticed my toes and top of my foot were a bit swollen. I went to see Dr. Shuh upon my return . I told the staff I need an ultrasound and/or x-ray. (the assistant said, oh you have a little pain. I said not I have a lot of pain) Dr. came in. I asked her if I could have a neuroma. She said NO. Then she did and exam and an utlrasound and said YES you have a neuroma. She said I had fluid at the top part of my foot. She did not order an x-ray. She gave me a steroid injection for the neuroma. She did apologize for not examining my foot when I returned the orthotic which resulted in pain with every step on my trip. Since she did not take an x-ray, she missed that I now had TWO STRESS FRACTURES, 2nd and 3rd metatarsal. After the injection, I did not want to see her again. Went to an orthopedic foot/ankle specialist. I am a Martial Arts Instructor and rely on going to the gym 4-5 days a week. She recommended Crest Pads for my curled toes and told me $10 each. I accepted 1 for which I am getting billed for. (why not just do this on the first visit? She should retire! read more

She not only has years and years of experience and expertise in her field - she also has the best personality and bedside manner. I felt so comfortable with her! I had once thought Dr. Oswall was wonderful. But something has changed. At this point, I would strongly caution anyone considering treatment with Dr. Oswall at The Foot Center. I went to her for plantar fasciitis and was sold a three-treatment "shockwave therapy" package. The first two sessions might have helped. The third session was very painful. I was told that was necessary to get the full benefit And I should try to tolerate it. After the third, my pain became dramatically worse and has not resolved in over a month. I later learned that this type of treatment can aggravate tissue if applied too aggressively or too frequently. At no point was I warned of that risk. My heel pain is now worse than before I began treatment, and I've had to stop activity and seek further care. I would encourage others to research conservative and evidence-based options before agreeing to any "package" treatments here. In my experience, this clinic prioritized sales over appropriate medical care. When I saw Dr. Oswall for follow up and described the situation, she offered to sell me orthotics. read more

Due to issues with my current podiatrist which included my lost of trust in the treatment that was being provided and improper diagnosis, I had to seek another podiatrist as things were worsening with both my feet and I was incapable of doing my daily exercises (5-8 miles walking or hiking). Thankfully I found Cedar's Senai's Foot Center and booked an appointment with Dr. Toby Ishizuka. On my first visit, I was nicely welcome by the front desk and then welcome by the dr assistants who took care of asking me about my foot issues and most importantly taking a series of X-rays. Finally, the dr came in and we discussed in details my issues, and how he will proceed at resolving them. Most importantly, while discussing the X-rays results, turns out that I did NOT have Morton's Neuroma (as other podiatrists incorrectly told me) and instead I had bursitis which can be treated. Finally, Dr Toby, proceeded at modifying my existing orthotics that were not properly customized until I come back to see him so he can build new and better ones for me with the support that was missing. I am happy to say that with the customizations he did for the existing ones, my bursitis pain has gone down by 90%! read more

I was paralyzed in my right leg as the result of an injection that hit my sciatic nerve as a small child. This resulted in a surgery when I was a child to restore mobility, but it also resulted in damaged toes that curved inward as a result of the surgery and the repositioning of the tendons in the foot. When I was in university, I had a follow-up surgery to straighten the pinky toe. Now I had another follow up surgery at the foot center to straighten the next toe on the same foot. I was quite nervous about it, due to previous surgeries and expected pain. But the care that I received from Dr. Ishizuka was excellent. He explained the surgical process very thoroughly before my surgery, did an excellent job on the surgery, and the post surgery care was great. I was afraid of the different steps including stitches removal, and pin removal of the pin used to fuse my toe bones but he was careful and took many steps to make sure that my pain or discomfort would be minimized. The office was spotless; the staff patient and kind; Dr. Michael Pilkington was terrific; he solved a problem that really had me very worried. He was gentle and expert at what he did. I came here at the recommendation of a friend after I experienced an infection in my foot. Everyone here is extremely accommodating and kind, and Dr. Ishizuka is also an amazing patient and understanding doctor. I talked to your office and you agreed to waive the $50.00 missing appointment fee and send me an adjusted bill. You have not done so and provided me a phone number to Valley Medical Management agency instead of providing with my adjusted billing through your office (not in good faith). Just discovered Dr. Noreen Oswell and the great crew at The Foot Center a couple of months ago, when my middle-aged feet started singing the blues. Luckily, Dr. Oswell was able to diagnose a couple of different issues that I have going on, and we put a treatment plan in place that is making a real difference, although it's going to take some time to get back to "normal." I learned a couple of valuable things from my time at The Foot Center: 1) Dr. Oswell and her team are top-notch and make you feel like a member of the family. She's got a great "bedside manner." 2) When you start having problems with your feet or ankles, don't try to tough it out and put off seeing a doctor, because the longer you wait, the more likely it is to become a chronic condition, which in turn can take a really long time to heal. I have been a patient for over 20 years with various foot needs! Dr. Oswell CORRECTED a botched toe surgery and I was sold ever since! She did my ingrowns back in 1996 and did say there was a chance they would return. They did and she took out the worst one, recently! Much better! Wish I had "redone" them sooner! The staff is professional and Manny(sp) is her right arm! Sergio helps out as well from time to time when the office is busy, equally warm and friendly! While the news I received yesterday was upsetting, as I've had a broken bone for nine months and neither of the other two podiatrists I went to correctly diagnosed it, I am so happy I found Dr. Ornelles. She was patient, kind and thorough. She was the only doctor to x-ray the bottom of my foot and find the broken sesamoid that has been my ailment for almost a year. We are now moving towards correcting my foot, which means that in the mean time I need to be off my feet and let my bone heal. Dr Oswell is a HERO and i'm not exageratting. I've been to her twice now for two separate occations and she solved something other Dr's couldn't solve for years. I had a fungi/wart on the bottom of my foot, other dermatologist tried fixing it for years & it would come back. 3 weeks w Dr Oswell & it was gone permanently. Recently, she took out a small piece of glass in my foot in 7 minutes of seeing me after a previous Dr (earlier that day) told me i would need surgery and weeks to heal because he couldn't get it out.
