In addition to live glass blowing demonstrations, and special classes or make-and-take events for glass/pottery pieces, they have a glass museum with tons of history on glass in the USA. NJ had all the right conditions and materials (wood, sand, soda ash, and silica) for glass so it was the nation's main source of glass for a long period in US history. They make pottery and glass items on site that are sold in the store, and visitors can observe all of this being made. There is a long nature trail, a lake, historic schoolhouse, and various other interesting buildings on the campus. There are at least two stores, both with tons of glass and pottery/ceramic gift options, among other artistic mediums. There is finer art glass sculpture available too, in the gallery store. Wheaton offers a handful of free admission days every year (mostly in summer), including the Fire Muster, with a bunch of fire engines and firemen! They also host craft shows, holiday themed weekends, and other festival events. Live music and food trucks are normally part of any event day. It's a very fun place, and easily can take 2 hours to explore everything. My last visit I was there 3 hours and still didn't get to the nature trail. Nearby Vineland has many great food options, especially Puerto Rican.

The Glass Orchid has to be one of the best, if not THE best gift shop in Vineland. They're constantly changing their stock and keeping up with seasonal items. It's a small store, but it's CRAMMED with all kinds of goodies. They range from the things you'd expect, like cough drops, get well cards, flowers and small baby gifts, to some really awesome things like primitive home decor, Yankee candles, Burt's Bee's products, hand blown glass, AWESOME jewelry, handbags, perfume and all KINDS of seasonal stuff. Those of us that have payroll deduction often get put on the "naughty list" for spending too much in one pay period and get banned from purchasing for the month. : ( But seriously, if you are in need of cute gift, especially inexpensive but really cute jewelry or primitives, this is the place to go.

They catered our wedding. But they since went out of business. Since then I have tried most florists in the area and have not been wowed. I have been using The Flower Shoppe, but they seem expensive and as others have noted, the roses die quickly. So, these roses made an impression and I asked where they came from. Martine's. This is one florist I have not used. I do drive by here, but it feels a bit non-descript. Well, five days later, her flowers were in full bloom and healthy. I decided to order the same for my wife. The price, while not inexpensive, certainly seemed reasonable given the price of flowers these days. When I picked them up, I was most impressed. And they had their intended impression. My wife was wowed. The owner was personable, answered my questions, and even engaged my queries as to the Camel cigarette flowers he did. I will continue to use Martine's.
