What a an adorable coffee shop this is! If you're looking for somewhere to go that has plenty of seating with modern decor, this is it! The staff is so friendly (trust me, you won't get this kind of service from a chain coffee spot). My friends and I stopped by on a Saturday morning, shortly after opening and felt so welcomed. We only planned to have coffee/tea, but ended up trying all three quiche options and a cinnamon roll. No regrets. The location may seem odd, but don't let that fool you! Definitely give this place a try! Highly recommend!

Great place for coffee and pastries. Love the bakery items and coffees. Today I had a scone and cold brew coffee. . Love the ambiance and the wide range of seating. Service was kind and helpful.

Not much to look at from the outside, but don't let that fool you! Once you walk in, there's plenty of seating and even books around if you want to relax for a bit. It seems like a great spot to hang out, get some work done, or study. I tried the banana bread latte and it was super delicious--definitely an 8/10. I also got the jalapeño cheddar scone. They had some gluten-free options available, which I appreciated. You could tell it was gluten-free, but it was still tasty and I'd give it an 8/10 as well. The service was friendly, and everything was clean and well-kept. Overall, a nice cozy spot that I'd visit again.

New Coffee House in Libertyville! Frunchroom Collective, is a coffeehouse for everyone! This spacious, new coffee house is located in the Greentree strip mall off Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. Buzzing with students, mom's with kids, business people, etc., this is definitely the new hot spot! The vibe is a combo of cozy meet ups, WeWorkers, students and drop-ins. There are large overstuffed chairs and sofas in the front of the cafe. The center area is spacious and has several hightop workstations in the main area of the cafe, and there is a separate library room with books, comfy seating for reading and workspaces for studying. The menu offers typical coffee drinks, lattes, teas, tea lattes, assorted cold beverages and pastries. I tried the golden milk turmeric latte, which was served piping hot and delicious. I also tried the cheddar jalapeño scone, which was disappointing, and was loaded with a pasty cheesy filling and topped with too much melted cheddar cheese. Although the pastry was disappointing, the service was excellent, the vibe was buzzing and a server even stopped by to collect my dishes when noticing I was finished. I'll definitely go back snd recommend you give it a try!

Came by for a quick pick me up as we got our day started. It was already pretty busy when we got there. While waiting to be helped at the register I took a look at the sweets they had. It looks like they have some local bakery sweets along with some gluten free options. I got a cold brew and a tropical iced green tea. When asked what flavors they had since they only listed lemonade and iced teas I was offered a sample and ended up getting it. Overall a fun cozy vibe! They even have a play area for kids which I saw some kids playing, and a great place to get some work done. Maybe I missed it but hope to see some drink specials and what not soon! Would love to come back and try some more fun drinks.

We needed a place like this! It's actually a super large space which really makes a difference for the space feeling relaxing. Sometimes coffee/tea shops are so small it feels hectic but even with a large group this place can handle it. We went on a Saturday and got tea and a muffin. The muffin was delicious and the tea was good. Because I'm not a coffee drinker I'm used to just basic tea when we're out. I think it would be nice if they carried either rare tea cellars (Chicago) or Harney and sons tea (flavor Paris) from the east coast. My husband got the turmeric tea and that was another level of deliciousness. I will be getting that next time. I also think they could expand their food offerings. Quiche or breakfast sandwich would be nice. I saw some groups playing games, family's enjoying morning coffee and groups of people. My favorite part was the cute little trays, napkins and branding. We will definitely be back!

My husband, son, and I went to Frunchroom's grand opening and loved it. How cute is the gnome theme?! The staff was so nice and eager to help and keep the place tidy. The drinks were fresh and made with Tala Coffee Freshly Roasted beans. They had some homemade syrups and tons of gluten free pastry options. This may very well be my new favorite coffee shop. The have a ton of events scheduled too! Be sure to check out the events and grab a tasty drink. I love that they are making an effort to source local products too! They featured local bakeries and other shops on their grand opening. Can't wait to go back!

I have been looking for a place like this since I was in high school after Yvett's in Barrington closed. This place is an incredibly cozy gem, with so many different nooks and crannies for anyone to get lost in and find their little secluded spot; be it outside on the Adirondacks, the two different comfy couch spots, any of the 8 4-tops, 3 6-tops, 9 2-tops, or two rooms away from it all. After you order your food and drink and find your place, the wonderful barista's will bring you your drinks and food. This place is epic!

Yes, Libertyville really did need another coffee shop. Frunchroom Collective is a beautiful community gathering space. The space is stunning. There are multiple seating areas available, some out in the main space, and two more private rooms. The staff were so welcoming and genuinely seemed excited and grateful that we had visited. They talked us through our questions about the menu and helped us find drinks that were customized to our preferences. They turned out great. I wish they had Holcomb Hollow bars instead of the de-floured bars. Being GF/DF I had hoped for a safe treat. Overall, this was a great experience and Frunchroom Collective is a snazzy new coffee shop you should definitely go check out.

For my first visit: Im not impressed. There are lots of coffee shops in the area that have their own unique twist : specialty coffees that are unique, cultural coffees, and distinct food or sweets and this place was just average. The ambiance is great due to its space compared to small shops. Not bad but could be better.

I never realized there was a frunchroom-shaped hole in my heart before I visited. This place is so beautiful and homey. There's so much art and decorations to look at and admire that I wasn't bored for a second of the 45 minutes I spent in here. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and the drinks were amazzzzing. I got the almond milk latte and was impressed by all the care that went into creating such a simple drink. The foam layer was thick and perfect and the design on the top was beautiful. So excited to come back and try one of the classes- maybe yoga..

Fresh new take on a community coffee house. It's super spacious and set up for remote work. They serve Tala coffee so your beans are roasted locally. Free wifi, and tons of tables, some meeting space that can be partitioned off. Several areas with upholstered chairs and sofas to relax. I imagine gamers could come and hang here too. The coffee is quite pleasant and the vibe is cool! Welcome addition to the area. US mailbox out front. Glad I dropped in. Update: Endless mug service was nice my second visit. This morning the staff came around and refilled mugs for patrons while we were chitchatting. What a homey touch

They really should not be hosting laser tag parties larger than 5 people with the current equipment situation. We were told they had 18 vests available, but only about 6-8 were actually working consistently at any given time. To their credit, they did extend the play time to try to accommodate the equipment issues. However, it didn't really solve the problem when so many kids still had long wait times and didn't get to participate fully. The staff member managing the event was defensive when concerns were raised and explained they were "in a transition stage" and expecting new equipment in July. She stated she was frustrated too, but we were the ones paying for a service/event that was not functioning as promised. I would not recommend this venue for a laser tag party until the equipment issues are fully resolved.

Mama Rosa did a little Yelp search and found "Time Out Party and Play" and we executed our plan to check this place out with our little ones. The place had a cute vibe. The one-time open play admission was $15, without the entry to the sensory room. The attendant was very kind and allowed us to use the sensory room without an extra charge. Honestly, the sensory room was my favorite part because the room was actually serene, soothing, and great for kids who wanted to take a break from the physical play. The setup was quite inspiring in that sensory room and I could definitely see it as my ideal room design. Interactive, learning-driven toys were filled on the walls and and it was fun to see the kids jumping on the water trampoline. Patrons were courteous and I could see my older one had a lot of fun. My younger one was slightly timid due his petite size, but he ended up sticking to the small slide adjacent to the large two-story playpen. Some parents were able to "relax" for the time being by chilling at the cafe area nearing the playground. I believe there was a menu available to order the food and drinks in from a third-party coffeeshop. The register, on the other hand, had some pops and juice boxes for sale. "Time Out Party and Play" caters for birthday parties. I took a glance on the pricing poster and it seemed pretty reasonable to me if any parent wanted to plan an official birthday celebration by inviting friends and families. Nowadays the mall has gotten so much more emptier, yet a business like this should be a keeper! We don't live anywhere near the Hawthorne Mall in Vernon Hills, so we will be back when we can.

Well today, my friends, was the day!! We came in about 4:45pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 5 other children playing. I had already checked out the prices, so I knew what to expect: $20 for open play, $28 for open play + drink + toy or $15 for open sensory play (great for toddlers and babies). Although I was initially a little hesitant about the $20 open play fee based on the space, I can confidently say that I got my money's worth, as my daughter was entertained for a solid hour and a half, and still didn't want to leave. The sensory area is a wonderful, quiet, low-light space for toddlers and babies who would otherwise be overwhelmed (or trampled) in the play area. The main play area is great, as you can see your child from just about every angle, and even on a busy day, the space is small enough that they're a safe distance away from you at all times. Adults aren't allowed on the second story of the play gym, but even my reserved 3 year old was able to maneuver most of the stuff on the second floor with confidence and ease. There are plenty of seats and tables for parents to hangout, or for kids to take a break, and cubbies for your shoes (socks only play). Great play space for kids 6 and under, but somewhat older siblings could enjoy the space as well! They offer private and semi-private party packages at a reasonable rate, too! The staff was friendly and helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions.

The nachos grade was large, with chicken that was quite overcooked though it had a flavorful char. It was accompanied by lettuce and tomato that could've been a bit fresher, jalapenos, and sour cream. On the other hand, the steak sandwich was seasoned nicely and slightly juicy and fairly tender. There was a strong pepper flavor and a little bit of char. The grilled chicken and bacon flatbread had a nice variety of textures with a pretty crisp cracker crust. Even with the few small hiccups we had, nothing major, I wouldn't change much. Chris & co. were fabulous to work with. Quick to reply to inquiries, happy to try to help come up with alternate solutions when what we had envisioned wasn't do-able (due to state law.) Everyone at our wedding has commented on how FANTASTIC the food was. From the appetizers through to cake (provided by an off-site contracted vendor whom I will review separately) everything was delicious. It's hard to say that about wedding food sometimes! The Arboretum did the room set-up for us, because there was a brunch wedding the same day as our 6pm start wedding. It wouldn't have been better if I did it myself. Everything was laid out as I had requested and I had no reason to worry about things not being correct (we provided centerpieces, escort cards, decor, cake topper, lighting, you name it.) Having the private brides room was a life-saver. Even just to have a place to sit and have a quiet moment by myself. My only hiccups were that we had discussed having our cocktail hour in the main foyer dining area. This was sold to us at the very first meeting, that we had the entire venue, and this is where cocktails would be - they would take the tables away and put in some high-boys. This did not happen. When I asked about it, I was told it wasn't in our contract. So, lesson learned to me, get everything in writing. The only other thing was that scheduling the tasting was a little strange. I asked many times from the time we signed our contract (late winter 2016) through spring, summer, and fall, when our tasting would be. I was told 2 months ahead of time. We were scheduled for October 2016, which was fine, until at the tasting when we told them how quickly our event was coming up, a few of the employees looked at each other as if we should've had our tasting far sooner (oh, your wedding is in January? this is late October...) Small hiccups to say the least, and really due to my own lack of contract knowledge. Arboretum Club comes VERY highly recommended.

If you are looking for a venue for your event, STOP RIGHT NOW - YOUR SEARCH IS OVER! In September…read more2017, Loft21 hosted our wedding reception and it was absolutely incredible! The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. If you talk to JuneElise, and you have any doubts about booking with them, you have my permission to ask her for my contact info for a referral. You simply can't go wrong! Tim G.

There's definitely a shortage of event venues if you're comparing to what's available in the city…read more And while we're lucky enough to have a city full of amazing venues nearby sometimes it's just easier to stick with something nearby. Hence why Loft 21 is such a popular option for bar mitzvahs and other big events. If you have a 12/13 year old kid going thru the mitzvah circuit chances are you'll end up here. The venue itself is owned by Jazmine at Hype Productions. I haven't rented out Loft 21, but have hired Hype twice and been thrilled with everyone I"ve worked with over there so I"m guessing this is so exception. Jazmine is very on top of everything, which is perfect for my type A personality. While I highly recommend Hype for event production you can bring in others to the space. The bar mitzvah we attended this past weekend had Tenny from Flo as their MC. The space can easily be transformed and seems to work with any theme. And for those who don't want to go crazy with decor it's a pretty venue on it's own. They have a nice area upstairs for cocktails. People tend to congregate near the bar which can make it crowded so I recommend putting a food station (or extra bar) in the area separated off so that people spread out just a bit. This area also overlooks the ballroom so at the end of the cocktail hour they do a big reveal by showing the room down below, which is cool. The acoustics in the space aren't great and my biggest complaint is that I can't hear anyway near me while I"m there. I can also barely hear any speeches when I'm in the space. However, it works great for music, montages and anything else you need.
