I had my team's holiday party here. Their menu doesn't list any GF items so I had to call and confirm. They indicated there are few options available and they had GF buns for the impossible burger. I ended up ordering that and asked what sides are GF. The server advised he would have to confirm with the kitchen. When the food was brought, I had just a patty on the plate with French fries that were touching. I asked if the fries were GF and he said no. I informed him I would need a new patty as well since I couldn't have cross-contamination. When he brought out the new plate, the burger had cheese on it but no bun. He said they ran out. It was disappointing. They do offer one dessert that is GF which was the crème brûlée and it was good. The service was quite slow when greeting us after we sat down and taking our drinks. Everyone did say the food was excellent though.

Second time I was at Deer Path Inn for high tea. This time it was for Christmas. Our waiter, George, was fabulous. We realized he was our waiter the last time we visited. The experience is amazing. It is costly for the holidays but so worth every penny. You need to splurge on yourself every once in a while. Free valet parking is a plus.

Gorgeous location for brunch, drinks, or dinner. Street parking was fairly easy to find, but if you are having difficulty, they do have a valet service. We sat in the English tea room for our monthly book club! Gorgeous patio and ambiance. Lots of great options on the menu ranging from savory to sweet. The English breakfast portion was quite large and as close to traditional as you can get in the US (definitely missed the HP sauce!). The healthy start bowl was ok, lacking something to make it stand out.

First of all the room was lovely. Our server was delightful and our three levels of little sandwiches and lovely desserts were delectable. We were served Chamoagne after we sat for a few minutes and then we gave our tea orders. Shortly after that we were served our three tier platter and our tea. It was a lovely few hours. To our surprise we all got a tin of the tea we ordered. The Inn is charming and what a fun place to stay if you have the time Just a note there is complimentary valet parking. Glad for this High Tea experience.

This is my absolute favorite place to be in Lake Forest! This had been a favorite of my family for years. I love the Tudor style building and gardens area. My family and I love coming here for birthdays and any big celebration. Last night, my family came for my mom's birthday dinner. We were seated in the English Room and had great views of the garden. The room reminded me of being in a old fashioned greenhouse/old garden pavillion in England. To drink, I had a Cosmo. It had a very pretty pink color. Appetizer: my family and I split the charcuterie board. The fig jam was amazing! Entree: I had the scallops and wild mushroom risotto, which was very good. Very filling. Later, we went to the downstairs bar area and had a drink. I had the Fuller's London Pride Ale. Overall, a great experience! We will definitely be back soon!

We attended an afternoon tea at the Inn and had a lovely time. I will say the hostess was a bit condescending but our servers George and Jacky blew us away with their professionalism, knowledge and attentiveness. Delicious finger foods and tea with a gorgeous backdrop? Can't be beat.

Had afternoon tea for the first time here and it was very nice. The 1929 blend tea was solid with a good set of food and dessert. The service was amazing as well. Definitely want to come back here for dinner or other occasion

Went to the Bar area. Very good service . Cobb salad was disappointing. Music way too loud. Asked it be lowered twice.

Very calming and peaceful which also matched the decor. The entire building is up to date and designed very well. The designs make you feel like 'yeah, this is going to be a nice getaway.' Haha! The staff was very kind, helpful and friendly. They explained the layout of the hotel, where the gym was at and answered all the questions I had. They did a great job of welcoming us and making us feel at home. We like sleeping with low temps and thankfully their AC was able to handle our need of 67 degrees. We slept very well. This place has a top notch standard of cleanliness. Everything was spotless and smelled very good. The rooms look recently updated and they are stunning. I really love the design of them with the blue art pieces, so peaceful and beautiful. The bathrooms are bright and spacious, also stacked with soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Taking a shower feels like you're at a high end spa. The water pressure is great, strong but not too strong. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks so much for everything!

The room I had was good to work from, and I loved being right across from the fitness center. Not only did that remind me to get my workout in, they have an ice cold, clean water machine in there that I visited frequently to fill up my water bottles. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout shades truly blackout every ounce of light which is nice. If I could change anything, it would be to add some coffee in the lobby as I exhausted my little Keurig machine trying to wake up each morning. The lobby is a tad small too, so not exactly a place I'd hang out to work from. One more thing this hotel has going for it, based on my quick search, is that there really aren't that many nicer hotels around, so this is a bit of an oasis for business travel in the area. Would definitely recommend!

Check-in was quick and friendly; staff were warm and helpful from start to finish. They keep things professional without losing that personal touch. Big appreciation for the shuttle driver. I didn't catch his name. We booked the 7:00 AM shuttle and rolled up to the gate 8 at 7:09. By 7:13, we were seated inside the venue. Meanwhile, we passed a line of cars at least 100 plus deep--easily an hour + wait, maybe more. If you're attending graduation: don't drive. Seriously, you'll regret it. The shuttle is reliable, fast, and way less stressful. The rooms were neat and functional. Pillows were firm, which we appreciate. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean, with solid Wi-Fi. It's quiet, pet-friendly, and perfect if you're bringing a four-legged sidekick. Continental breakfast is basic. Boiled eggs, package slices of bread, bagels and fruit,. Basically, grab-and-go items to start your morning, but don't expect a full spread. Still, it's convenient for early starts.

Always helped when asked and answered all questions. was able to loan an induction hot plate so I could make one-pan meals. Pan included was very small so more for eggs than full meals for two. Rooms showed some wear but no major defects. Water pressure was okay but not strong. Tv dark balance was off and remote did not allow for adjustment. TVs were 4k sets and fairly large though. Beds were a bit firm but clean. Was a rough night rest the first night but a 30 dollar mattress topper really helped. Just think of it as an unseen add-on for the stay. Not hard, but needed some cushion. Internet speed was reasonable and only disconnected once or twice a day. Worked well enough for the occasional team meeting or call. Pool was heated but not hot. Still a little chilly but if you swam a little it was easy to shake the chill. Gym was small but functional. Some dumbbells one cable machine and 5 cardio machines. Breakfast was very basic. Egg circles, breakfast breads, a couple protein options and a waffle station. Not great but good enough to get you going. It's not a bad hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It's functional and works for the average traveler. There's some maintaining that could be done, and some accommodations could be better, but if you're in the state for work it will do.
