I randomly decided one day that I wanted to learn what all the fuss was about Pickleball. The Fort has an introductory course and I am happy that I went. There are instructors who teach you the basics such as moves and tactics. After listening intently to the instructions, I was able to practice serving as well as returning. Idk what to say, but seems like I'm more tennis material than delicate pickleball lol. All in all, it's was a fun experience and even got a tour of the beautiful facility. I'll have to give pickleball another try with more practice.

Customer service was on point. This was my first time playing pickle ball and they were very accommodating. Once we played for about an hour they had a full bar with some food options. We had us a refreshing cocktail and re-upped on some water to stay hydrated. The courts, store, and bar area were clean and inviting. We've already reserved to be back next Saturday. Shout out to Ashley and Jeremy for making our experience extra special.

Did not even know this hidden fortress existed until I was invited here to a Yelp event on the outside patio of the Florida Room and had to quickly return. The entertainment aspect of The Fort consists of a few different things. Aside from the Florida Room - restaurant & bar, there are forty-three pickleball courts with an open air competition stadium which are the main draw. Memberships are required at $139.00 per month for unlimited play and offer a $15.00 guest fee. After dinner at the Florida Room, the wife and I walked to the center of The Fort and had an espresso at the Serves and Thirds pavilion and watched some decent talent play pickleball. We were pretty good novice players until our old knees blew out and now just interested spectators.

This is a really cool place especially if you love pickle ball. I came here for a work outing. I was surprised at what a cool places was. As we walked in, they have the store for anything that you need. As we walked outside, there was a bar that had draft beer as well as mixed drinks. Our group had reserved a couple of courts and their receipts right by the court so we were able to watch while our friends played. This location is huge and has a greatest aesthetic. I could definitely see this as a great place for birthday party outings or just if you wanna have a good afternoon.

My best friend and her boyfriend are big pickelballers and recently for her boyfriend's birthday, they got some people together for a big hang out. The place is huge with ample parking. The staff is very nice and helpful and told us what we needed to get, where to go, etc. There are a bunch of courts, with some even under a cover. There's a big bar too so you can grab drinks in between games. Everyone had a great time and I know my friend has already been back.

A great spot to workout and be part of a new community and come together for fun and games. The place is wide and open to enjoy. It has covers fields and open access. Everyone is super friendly. The restaurant is beautiful. The best area is the beach like shore with seats to relax and enjoy the Florida sun.

This is one of the first larger Pickleball Courts I've been to. It was as if TopGolf met Pickleball. To start, I would like to mention how this facility was built more "in the middle of nowhere" in Fort Lauderdale by the airport, which I appreciate. They chose a wonderful plot of land, rather than bulldozing a park or cutting down more trees to put this up. I've lived in Fort Lauderdale all my life, and this plot of land was nothing before they turned it into "The Fort." Second, the service was great. All of the employees were super helpful, fun, and nice. The area is well-maintained and cleaned regularly. There is a bar area offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as indoor and outdoor courts for play. As a Florida citizen, I know the weather is very unpredictable. I had a great time playing pickleball here, and it's good to know there is a solid space for everyone to play, because I attended an event; I do not know the pricing, but I was overhearing that a lot of people pay a membership fee to play. I'm not too sure how much it would cost to just come one time, or how long you can play.

For about three years I was a pickleball fanatic and injured a tendon in my arm from excessive play so now it's just fun to watch others play without the pain. The Fort has 43 pickleball courts with a $139 yearly membership, Serves and Thirds Cafe, sand volleyball courts and a Florida Room bar & grill overlooking a beautiful lake. Dinner then coffee and watched some pickle bar made it a fun night.

Great place to practice pickleball. Lots pf courts and they even have a small "stadium" where I'm sure tournaments may be played. Very cool

This place is amazing to see, and really highlights the growth and popularity of Pickleball. We were invited to tour this new venture, and it is certainly impressive. A great pro shop, lots of courts, "indoors" and outdoors (the indoor courts are just covered courts, so it still gets very hot, esp. in the summer. There's a very nice stadium court with seating for fans. They plan to host some major tournaments. The bars, food venues are still getting developed, but currently there is a working bar, Serves and Thirds. They are selling memberships, but you can come play even if you're not a member, just buy a day pass... and not very expensive so easy to try out the place. It's located very close to Ft Lauderdale Airport. It's all very well done, very impressive!

Loved this place. Lots of parking and bathroom options available (not unisex). I just took the intro class with coach Gary and Jason. And they were amazing! They were super helpful and the class was small and I actually feel like I understand the game! They were so patient and kind. And it really made the game seem fun! As someone who is not great at contact sports (was a rower through college) I get super nervous about being bad at group sports like that so I was pretty anxious going in and I actually felt pretty comfortable with this x They have lots of activities like more classes and leagues; ladies nights; competition/tournaments etc. and we walked around and it's a huge facility but I would recommend to get a court not in the like sheltered area because it's soool hot there. The ones out in the open get a better breeze. The newbie courts are court 27 and 28. To the right of the bar. Oh and they have a bar and working on a restaurant. Best of luck and the beginner classes are free!
