They also have a dog park, basketball court, tennis courts, fitness area, fishing, handball etc. Plenty of parking. I love that it's right by the water and there's a bit of shade as you're trying to get your daily steps in. I have recently been trying to find more outdoor activities and this is one of my local favorites in coconut creek/margate.

I finally stopped coming because some people were not watching their dogs as closely as they should. The worst incident I saw happened when a bike rider was going past the fence. A dog pulled off the leash a man was holding and leaped up and ripped her arm open. After that I was done. The problems of the past seem to be over with the new renovation of the dog park. You must register your pet now in order to use it. Registration is $35 for Coconut Creek residents and $70 for non residents. There are separate parks for large and small dogs. The city has added wash stations and agility equipment for the dogs. The park is lovely since it borders a lake and there are over 60 trees providing shade. Water fountains, benches, and a wash station were also added. Keeping your pet safe is a security fence surrounding the entire dog park. Right now only around 150 dog owners have signed up so the park is never crowded. The park is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance. The iconic windmill of the park has now been moved to the inside of the dog park and a lot of landscaping was added. The renovation of the dog park was part of a 3 million dollar Windmill park renovation. Parking used to be dicey but not anymore as the parking lot has been expanded to twice it's size. A new playground has been also added for human kids. Furry kids can be registered at the Community Center up the street on Lyons Road. Once you pay you are given a FOB to enter the dog park fence.

Owner is a true client service failure ... son had to drop off his racket to be restrung yesterday…read more They could not finalize it while he was in store buying another racket. Store was empty, which it has been on each visit, and just too busy. Two weeks earlier and same outcome which lost sale of string and install on that occasion also. The owner, upon our return, "mistakenly" gave away my son's racket to another person. Owner then decides to blame others for his many errors and stories of personal woe. You were entrusted to someone else's personal property, and you gave it away ! This is NOBODY else's mistake but your lack of responsibility! The item was not for sale, or even matching in stock merchandise. The ability to get it back is pure luck and contingent upon all parties being inconvenienced by lack of care. Store appears to have inadequate inventory control and the lack of ability to track items that are entrusted to them. The receipt was clearly stapled to our racket, so owner just failed. Luckily the other person came back but caused us delay. We were already revisiting due to their lack of client service the previous day. Just think .. had racket been strung on initial visit would loss have ensued ?? Don't visit and try to stay away as owner cares little for consumer and making things right. Look at other reviews below and see a pattern ?? Sorry but this small business and its owner failed and he in more interested in blaming others than making changes. Small business or not, your actions drive people elsewhere.

While it was a bit warmer than I expected, it was still nice to spend time together. We ordered drinks from the bar. My cocktail was very good, while my husband's Old Fashioned was just okay--not the best he's had. During happy hour, they offered hors d'oeuvres, including mini hot dogs, wontons, fresh vegetables, and other bites. Unfortunately, the trays weren't replenished very often, so I missed out on trying most of them. For dinner, I ordered a vegan entrée with squash and beans, which I enjoyed. My husband had the eggplant Parmigiana with spaghetti and a cup of gazpacho. The eggplant was good, but the gazpacho tasted more like tomato soup and was missing the fresh cucumber flavor you typically expect. At the end of the day, the best part of the evening was spending time with good friends. The setting is beautiful, and with a few small improvements to the food service, it could be an even better experience. I am happy to give them another go.

Our event wa in a private room. Food was appetizers and small bites. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. There was a nice assortment of cheeses, meats, and crackers. There was also a hot dip with bread and pita chips. The standout food was the Thanksgiving slider, which had turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Definitely a crowd favorite. The DJ played some nice music. The staff was friendly and attentive as they passed out additional appetizers, and kept the tables clean of dirty dishes. It was a very nice event location. My only complaint was the parking signs and clubhouse signage was a little lacking, so it was a little confusing figuring out where to go or where to park. But overall it was a very nice evening.
