Our server was Renee and she was so sweet. Got us refills before our drinks were empty. We order the crab cakes which were amazing. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with fries, it was great. My friend order the ruben Panini with fries, she absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back. read more

Excellent food and very friendly/laid back atmosphere. We enjoyed the cheese curds (good), French fries (so yummy), fried pickles (unique & I recommend), Thai flatbread, jerk tacos, & habanero burger: all delicious. We also really enjoyed the old fashion, fancied up with rosemary. Fun and yummy treats, can't go wrong. Parking is kinda weird, but it's laid back so just find a place that makes sense. 10oz strip was amazing; think the best I've had in a while. Fries weren't quite my thing, but my partner loved them as well as her Chicken Wrap. We got non-alcoholic cocktails, which come with one free refill for $6-$7. The inside of the building is beautiful and the service was fast. We had wings, cheese curds, tacos and 3 kids meals. The food was great!! The appetizers & tacos were delicious. The service was not. We waited for 20+ min and had to ask someone if we could order. To then get the response that they are holding off on taking orders at the time.... (There were empty tables and we were seated right away). Someone eventually came over and didn't even greet us, just said "what can I get you?" Then waited another 30+ months just to get our food. Super bummed because I have been here with friends and was very impressed. Today was rough when we had 3 hungry kids after a long day. read more

This place is fantastic! Every time we've eaten here, the food has been amazing! My husband recommends the Shredded Beef Burrito and cheese curds! I recommend the fish tacos, the signature salad, any of the panini's, and the bacon jam burger! Their craft drinks are great as well and freshly made! The staff are so nice and beyond helpful. The Grant House where The Fort Restaurant is located is an old, charming building, but in desperate need of remodeling. It looked like that might be happening. However, not focusing on that, some of us had good meals served by very attentive and pleasant servers. Three of us enjoyed tacos, burritos and chili, all of which was excellent. The other two in our party had wings which were over cooked and tasteless. So in majority very good experience and tasty, but don't get the wings! read more

Excellent food and not the normal bar food fare that you usually find in small towns. Their crabcakes are to die for and possibly the best I've ever had. One of our party also had the jammed bacon cheeseburger and it was excellent ( I had a bite). Also they have an incredible selection of tap beer. From light to dark and everything in between. The woman who waited on us was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. However like most restaurants in the whole country they are a little understaffed so you have to be patient. Okay north branch! I see you. Love that there's some foodie options out here. We were there during happy hour so we tried a few things off of the happy hour menu: fish taco was alright, jerk chicken taco was delicious and I loved the sweet potato taco, super flavorful. Also off of the HH menu - Cheese curds, they were cooked how I prefer them light airy and crunchy. We also got the jalapeño poppers (I've never had jalapeño poppers, I know shame on me.) they were super crunchy which I liked but could've had more flavor. The Kids ate up their food in a matter of seconds. So A+ on kids meals. I also ordered the grilled caprese cheese sandwich with a side salad, I've been wowed by grilled cheeses in the past but unfortunately this one did not do the trick for me. The cocktails were delicious and refreshing! I will be back to try more of their items a lot of their burgers sound really intriguing. read more

Second time at the Fort. Each time we have had fantastic food. The service and friendly staff make this a great place to go. While we were there the bar tender created a drink for me, a Old Fashion Manhattan. This was a classic spin on a Manhattan and was so so good. The Korean tacos are just the right amount of tang and heat. The flat bread with the Thai Chicken was so good. You can't go wrong ordering anything at this restaurant. It's amazing to me that such a high quality restaurant is located outside of the Twin Cities in the small town of Stacy. The vibe in the restaurant is welcoming and casual, easy-going. The servers are all friendly and treat you like you're one of the family. Let's just say chill. And the food? Incredible. American with Southwestern-Mex fusion. So excited to have a cool fresh option in Notth branch! Really nice craft cocktail selection and the lemonade (fresh) was yummy! Glasses were a bit small though We ordered the chicken wings which were ok. The Hawaiian pork tacos were good but the fish tacos had a distinct coconut oil fryer flavor. I confirmed that they cook their fried fish in coconut oil with the staff. We also got the fried pickle roll ups( pickle with cream cheese and ham fried in a panko crust) they were tasty but when bit into the hot pickle slides out? Maybe thick slices would work cuz its a yummy idea. The coconut oil was not so apparent on these. I really want to like this place and for them to succeed but I have talked to other people and once I shared that they use coconut oil everyone says " oh is that what that is" as apparently everyone notices a strange after taste. They also have live music occasionally which is awesome! Dining room was clean, outside picnic tables were a bit greasy but it's a picnic table so. Pigs in pool pic in bathroom very funny! read more
