This shop is not to be missed if you're in Western Michigan, specifically Hudsonville. It is absolutely worth the trip and it's MUCH bigger than expected, so plan to spend some time browsing, and maybe making a couple of rounds so you don't miss anything. This is a combination of vintage and new items and there is SO much to see and to choose from. They have clothing, decor, antiques & stationary + more than I can list! This is one of my favorite places to go shopping in the Grand Rapids area!! Honestly, I could just spend an hour walking around because it's so aesthetically pleasing and wonderfully curated. One of my favorite aspects of this store is the various women's clothing. There are so many cute and unique pieces!! The only "downside" of this store is that most items have a fairly high sticker price. So, if you're looking to visit here... be prepared to most likely spend a little bit of money. read more

I first started visiting when they were just a small retail space down the road, and even though they've expanded into a much larger space the atmosphere has remained. The owners and staff here are so kind and helpful--there have been times that I have visited and made tiny purchases like a pair of earrings, and others where I've made large decorating purchases for my home. No matter the size of my purchase I always feel valued as a customer. If you like "Fixer Upper", barn house style, or vintage finds- then the Found Cottage is the place for you! From old fans to chalk paint distressed furniture to a variety of plants for your home - there is something for everyone here. I was surprised to find a selection of women's tops for sale -there were probably about 100. The style reminded me of Anthropology or Free People without the big price tag - their prices I saw were between $30-50 for a nice top. Only downside to their selection was I could not find a size small to save my life. When walking around the store, some items looked like a fair price while others seemed very overpriced. For instance a price tag for a medium sized vintage fan ran about $70 and a large wall clock ran between $150-200. Next time I am looking for a unique statement piece for my home I'll definitely be back here! read more

Such a cute cute cute shop, can I say cute one more time! Seriously though this place is full of homemade cute home decor items. I would describe the place decorated like a modern log cabin, but don't let that keep you from coming in. They have items for every home, that is just what their place looks like. From light up signs to clothes, from to Michigan made jewelry to candles, from artworks to woodwork, they have something for every home. Literally, this place looks like etsy threw up but for all the right reasons! Looking around the store it gave me ideas and inspiration for ways to decorate a future home! I used to adore coming to this place. Every year at Christmas and thanksgiving it was my favorite antique place to stop at. After having kiddos I took a few years off of shopping to save money. I came back a few weeks ago and was absolutely stunned at the massive hike in prices. It wasn't an antique store anymore it was a giant overpriced museum. I talked to a few friends about it and they all said the same thing, the direction the store has taken is straight to richy rich town. Not a beautiful antique store anymore. Unless you have a ton of money to blow, don't bother. Bummed. read more

Wow!! Drove all the way from Ann Arbor, and was blown away with all the beautiful things! It was so cozy that I didn't want to leave! The owner is Liz Marie, who has the lovely Liz Marie blog, she is as lovely as she is beautiful. If you are looking for an eclectic mix of antiques, and handmade decor for your home, this place is a must. My daughter and I bought a beautiful pillow, made by Fabric Scout. The pillows are made from felt banners, so adorable! Also bought a beautiful hand cut wooden deer plaque, a lovely antique butter churn, oh and a gorgeous "giant" wall clock. We also picked up some beautiful chippy iron antique bed headboards, and the cutest little creamers made by Rae Dunn. We spent a good hour and half here. We were excited to go to this shop after discovering it on instagram. While they have some cute succulents and some antique items, we went into here thinking that many of the items were from local artists, or of high quality. After we purchased several items, we discovered that most of them were made by a company called " "The Country Coop", and were made in China. We were even more disappointed to find out that there were stickers on most of these items saying that the products contained formaldehyde or other chemicals known to cause cancer. The Country Coop is a company that sells merchandise that can be found in large corporations like TJ Maxx and Homegoods for cheaper than they are selling in this store. 2nd time there. Cute place but very pricey. Took my mom there on Friday 7/6, drove 1.5 hours to get there. The cashier told me I could set my items on the counter & I continued shopping, she knew my mom & I were there together. My mom checked out before me & the cashier started ringing up my items but we told her they were separate. When we left my mom had a gut feeling she was overcharged. Sure enough we discovered later that the cashier charged my mom $12.50 for the journal I bought & didn't take it off my mom's order when ringing up. My mom didn't want to make waves while we were there but had I known I would have had them take that charge off her bill! In essence, my $12.50 journal ended up costing $25.00! I felt so bad, she will never go back! read more

I feel like when this place was over in its original spot, it had more antiques and unique items. Now it seems to be a lot of crap that's made to look 'pinterest-y', and not actually original "flea market" quality finds. I have found that the pricing seems to be getting steeper every time I go, to the point that I won't be shopping there other than on a rare occasion.
