I don't remember where I heard about the Fox Event Center showing classic movies but I'm glad they exist because some films are just meant to seen on the big screen. While Fox doesn't have standard movie seating (all of it was pulled out to make the main room double as a ballroom) they do have folding chairs which can start to become a little uncomfortable by end of the movie. Confessions are available up front when you enter and do not require a small loan to purchase. Overall a great place to take kids to see your fav movie from childhood (Willy Wonka starting the one and only Gene Wilder) or that special someone to snuggle up with while watching Casablanca. read more

It's nice to have a theater nearby that shows indie/foreign films. My first time at the Fox was for a movie, "Searching for Sugar Man". We were greeted by friendly staff throughout the night. The concessions are much cheaper than other theaters and they serve alcoholic beverages. You can apparently have dinner and a movie here, which we did not do. But it appeared that the chef was very involved with the customers who did the dinner prior to the film and we will definitely try this experience upon our return. My only dislike of this venue was the sound quality. The acoustics and the sound system need improvement. read more

Krystin and I had our wedding at the Fox Theatre last year. It was the perfect venue and well in our budget. Richard was on top of it from our first visit to the Fox. I recently attended a Girl Scout Gold Gala at The Fox. It was absolutely lovely! The outside poster area is unique to this venue and made the girls feel special just from the start. Inside is very large. I didn't see any pictures of the upstairs area near the restrooms but it is very nice for taking a break from the action in the main room. The appetizers were delicious and with 2 stations very easy to access. The water, tea, and lemons I at our table was constantly replaced and the servers were in motion all the time. The food served was impressive, not in a fancy way, but delicious and again with 2 stations moved very quickly. The choice of deserts made everyone in our group very pleased. A different review mentioned the air conditioning and what I experienced was perfect. At one point I did have the thought that it is very comfortable in here. I have no idea about the pricing but I can tell you as a guest it was an awesome experience. read more

The place is very nice . The owner was very mean . She asked how many kids where going to attend the party we told 30 and she told us it was to many and that we should consider no kids instead. So we left and we didn't allow her to give us a quote. So if ur having a family party then u might at well exclude all the kids from the event . We went to dinner $15 and a movie $10 ! $25 !! 3 course meal. Salad, Drink, Main, Desert .... OTD with tip was It was under $60 for the two of us. Nice to sit a table and watch move. My Boyfriend and I were searching for a fun place to go for New Years where we could have dinner and dress up. I happened upon the Fox Theater event ($60/each) and was stunned at what they were offering: Lobster/Steak Dinner, 5 course meal, DJ and light show, 1930-40's theme! This sounded perfect and what a bang for the buck! I gussied up with a Grace Kelly Style Gown and my Fella wore his Class A's (he is active duty Marines). We got there and and it was purely magical!! Everything from the sweeping stairways (reminded me of Gone With The Wind") to the Gorgeous Chandeliers...everything was perfect!!! The music was wonderful,,the black and white movies playing on the huge screen were a cool touch tool, the food delicious, (slad was a bit sparse but who cares??) The open Bar drink prices were super reasonable and I laughed and danced and just really had a marvelous time! I cannot reccomend this venue more highly!! We had our daughter's wedding here last month and a great time was had by all! This historic venue was just the right place for two movie buffs and the décor (red drapes, red carpet out front, beautiful chandeliers, balconies and stage) complemented all the little touches we had put together to make the wedding even more interesting and unique. Where else can you see your names up on a marquee and your personalized movie posters in the glass cases out front for all to see? David, the DJ, was very easy to work with, took care of all their lighting needs and really helped our daughter and her fiancé make the musical entertainment their own. And you can't forget the security dog, Peanut! Eddie, the owner, was very nice to work with. However, in the course of the year's planning, we dealt with three people; Eddie, his son Richard, and Michelle. Although they were mostly accommodating, the problem here was that all three had their own "facts" that were contradicted by the others; i.e. type of chairs they have, number of tables that would be used, final payment date, etc., even when things were in writing. So, I'd say wait until a month or two before your event and go by whatever they tell you then. Overall, it was a great place for a movie-themed wedding and highly recommended. Everyone is still talking about how much fun it was and how the venue really helped make that possible. read more

Amazing!!! We had our daughter's Quinceanera here last Saturday, May 30, 2015 and we were in awe of how gorgeous it was when it was all set up and the lighting was on. David, the DJ & lighting coordinator did a tremendous job! Our daughter & her friends were on the dance floor all night long! All we heard that night is how good we did by picking such a spectacular place from all our guests. We were stress free thanks to all the awesome staff that took care of everything! Even the bathrooms stayed cleaned the entire night! The food was delicious! And Eddie the owner was extremely accommodating to ALL of our requests! Any questions we had prior to the event were answered right away by Pamela. Eddie's son, Richard, again very accommodating and made sure to take care of everything the night of our event and did a great job behind the bar! Not to mention having our daughter's name up in lights on the marquee on her special night & posters of her displayed on the front of the Fox...again all our guest were amazed with how much those little details added to the whole ambiance of the Fox. I would definitely recommend this place for any event you may have! We were not disappointed in the slightest! We were very impressed by all the staff! We had our 20th high school reunion at this venue . It was the perfect place for a large amount if guests. There was enough room between tables to freely move around and mingle and the dance floor was spacious enough to dance the night away. We hired the Redlands Fox Theater for our wedding reception. Beautiful antique theater style hall. Our wedding was in the middle of the summer, July. A year before our wedding when we met Suzanne, the owner of the Fox Theater or also known as Fox Event Center we asked her how the the weather was like during summer because we kept seeing fans all around the hall, in her own words "Oh, don't worry, it's freazing cold". Around two weeks before our big day we went to pay off the balance for our reception and we asked her again about the fans around the hall, if they were going to be put away. She responded "oh dear, no, it gets pretty hot in here and the theater's ceiling is so high that the AC is not enough to cool down the whole place, I'd take them off if you want me to, but they'll be needed." My now husband and I looked at each other and were just speechless. Whate were we suppossed to do two weeks before our big day? hire another venue? We kept quiet and alghtough everybody had a great time, neither us or our guests will forget the heat that was felt that day. Word of advice, do not have your summer wedding here. When the manager of the band we hired told one of the staff members to turn up the ac, he replied that it was already to the max and that another staff member had to go home because he was feeling dizzy. The hall is beautiful but they need to upgrade their AC and lighting. We had the full package with no limit lighting and we still had the dj bring his own LED lights to iluminate the theater because the lights they have are the old style ones. We received many complains after our wedding about that the food portions were very small and that our guests had to go out to eat something because they were still hungry. Really, if I had read a review about this place before I signed the contract, I would've looked for somewhere else to have my wedding reception. read more

So let me start off by saying some nice things this venue is very beautiful I've had two sweet 16 parties here and it's just gorgeous the food is good and it just looks amazing I put a lot of money into making sure my daughters were happy and had the best venue possible. However this time around I didn't have a really good experience certain staff was rude at times it felt like I was bothering them for certain request that I had. Eddie was amazing as usual and he's the reason why I came back the one downfall that they had was they did not give us our food when we left at the end of the night they told my husband there would be plenty of leftovers he was even told that they would pack it up for us and they did not pack it up and give it to us we paid for that they should have given it to us why do we have to ask for it it should have automatically been given to us we seen employees walking out with what look like food trays when I called to express my concerns about the food I was told that because we didn't ask for it that's why they didn't give it and they assumed that we didn't want it so what they do is give it to the homeless people that's awesome that they give it to the homeless people I have nothing against that my only issue was that they had told us specifically that they would give it to us at the end of the night and had it packed for us. It wasn't given there was a sorry which we accepted but we will not be returning back to have any further venues at this place read more

I recently got married here about 3 weeks ago and I have to say It was a amazing experience. I went around Redlands to a few different venues and it always felt as if they were after your money and not your happiness. Those venues practically charged to used there restrooms. The Fox Banquet was my last stop before I was about to give up. I guess I saved the best for last! The venue was beautiful, the people always greeted you with a smile, and you always felt welcomed. Richard the owners son made you feel like family rather than just another client. The price for the whole package which included the food, dj, lighting, and cake was unheard of especially for Redlands. I probably paid a little bit more then half of what everyone else was charging and still the Fox exceed all of my expectations of my dream wedding. The food was delicious. My guest still tell me that the food was the best they have had at a wedding. Dave the dj lite up the room so beautifully and listened to everyone thing we had talked about about and delivered. He also coordinated the wedding and I was grateful because I didn't know what I was doing. The cake was not from them but they have a great deal with Martha Greens. It was delicious and affordable, especially for Marthas. Again, Richard was great. He was our bartender for the night and well will just say he made sure everyone was having a good time. Especially the groom and I. With all that being said I'm glad I didn't give up and definitely found that hidden gem there in Redlands. We had our sons wedding at the fox. It's hard to find the proper words to show our gratitude for the staff. They were so accomodating above and beyond. The venue is not only breath taking, but very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent , and there wasn't a guest that left hungry. There was plenty for seconds and we were given the option to take the rest home or have it donated to a shelter. The price was very affordable for any budget. It included choice of linens,centerpieces,chargers. Also champagne & cider for each table and much more . Other venues will charge you for cutting a cake to popping a cork, not here. We chose to do some of our own decor to personalize our event. Also included was the DJ. This guy is amazing,and a real pro. He will go threw your individual music preference with you. He also does the lighting effects, which would be extra $$ anywhere else. The Fox is a one stop,everything needed for your wedding is here. We did add Valet Parking to our package, it was worth every penny. It added not only convenience for our guests, but an extra touch. We had our daughter's wedding at Fox Event Center. We signed a contract with Fox Event Center for dinner for 210 people. The dinner picked up by the bride and groom consisted of salad, vegetables, potatoes, bread, beef and chicken for each plate. When the wedding party went to be served the dinner they were asked if they want chicken or beef. They were not offered chicken and beef as we stated in the contract. The pieces of meet were not cut to a standard portion. Some were very small and when people were asking about one more piece they were told that we paid just for one piece of meet. The wedding guests were not offered two pieces of meet as signed in the contract. I stated from the beginning that since we do not drink I really want my guests to be able to eat what we ordered, which did not happen. All this situation created a lot of emotional distress for me and made me feel cheated by Fox Event and embarrassed in front of my quests. The money that were suppose to go to the food ended up somewhere else and I would like to know where. I would like to know why my guests were not offered the food I ordered for them. read more
