This is a pretty decent music venue and if you get pit you will have a really good view of the artist. Parking is located across the street. We showed up about 30 minutes before doors opened and on this night there was still parking directly across the street but if it was full there seems to be other lots close but. It was $30 for a Friday night show. The line to get in wasn't too long and door time was pretty accurate maybe 5/10 minutes late but no big deal. The security was pretty fast too. Basic security if you been to any concert recently. Take all your stuff out of your pocket and as long as you don't have anything suspicious you will be good to go. Merch was on the left and right side when you got in and there is a bar also right when you get in. I'm not sure if this is for every show but for this one there was a difference for general admission and general admission pit. We had pit tickets and this got you in the section right in front of the stage. There is a security guard who checks your ticket and you get a wristband so if you leave you can come back. There is also a bar right in this section which is nice so you don't have to leave. If you don't have pit tickets the next sections behind are all first come so if you want a closer and better view you would need to arrive right when doors open or earlier if it is a popular show. There are also seats upstairs. I didn't get to see how the view is from up there but the venue is not too big so I'm sure it is a great view up stairs and good for people who don't want to stand all concert and prefer to have a seat. The sound was good and as mentioned since we had pit tickets the view was really good. The one thing that I didn't like and can be an issue if maybe you are drinking a lot or just need to use the restroom, is that the only restroom was upstairs. Or if there was one downstairs I never saw it and no one directed me to those. They are located up stairs and are quite a mission once the venue gets packed. This venue is a little out of my way but if an artist I really wanted to see was only performing here I wouldn't hesitate to purchase tickets and come here again. read more

Saw Dayseeker (concert) last month. The venue itself is in a good location. Plenty of parking lots down and across the street. The lobby is kinda small. The bottom floor design is not good. The pit is very average. The real issue is on the back GA area. There's 3+ barricades. Only the people at the barricades get a good view. It was all standing and everyone was packed tight. To make things worse, the AC was not working or there wasn't any at all. The heat was almost tangible. On a positive note, the bars have easy access on all sections. read more

It's been years since I last saw a concert here, but the Fox Theater is a major fixture in downtown Pomona. It's super fun to see the signs that light up each week, whether announcing the next featured artist/band, or wishing someone a happy birthday. This venue is great for smaller intimate shows. It's on the older side but has some historic charm. I came with my sister to see Jesse McCartney and the concert was awesome! I can't say much about parking because we got dropped off. There was a long line of people already waiting to get in but it moved very fast once the doors opened at 7. There is a bar and merch booth right when you enter after passing security. We sat in the Reserved Loge seats which are located on the 2nd floor. The seats were surprising comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this section if you still want a great view but don't want to stand in the Pit all night. read more

Got to see Parcels live last night and I was so impressed by these super talented artists but also by this space. Lots of history to this theatre yet it is well maintained, clean, and a beautiful space. The perfect venue for live music and instruments. Sound was amazing and love a good concert with balcony seats as an option. Plenty of parking in the area and it felt pretty safe. Security was thorough and quick. If you attend a concert here note there may be three lines: Pomona+, Quick Pass, and General Admission. Restrooms are super clean, on the 2nd floor. Ask a staff member if you're confused about anything, all who I came across were very helpful. I'd definitely go to a concert here again! read more

This was my first time coming to a concert at this theater and it is a charming theater inside and I loved that it was smaller and easy to navigate. It is in the downtown area of the city. Before entering the concert they do a bag check and you go through a metal detector. I decided to grab a drink from the bar and the service at the bar was nice! The seats were so comfortable and spacious which I loved. The only downside was there was no where to put drinks except on the ground. read more

I've checked out this theater for both a DJ set and a fun drag show, and it was a a lot of fun! The place is spacious, so you have space to dance and enjoy yourself, plus you get great views of the stage from just about anywhere. I wasn't too excited when I saw the main DJ's set in the lobby area, but then I found out that the lounge inside is really cool. And I recently discovered there's an upstairs area in the lounge too, which just makes this awesome venue even better! read more

The Fox Theater is a great place to come and see a show. Though it isn't the most classy of places or venues, it's still really cool to come and checkout. For starters, if you are looking to park, park down the street in the spots that say 2 hour parking only. This is what I did and nobody fined or ticketed me, or towed my car. It was like two blocks away from the venue but I don't mind walking. The venue itself was very cool. There are two levels that offer viewing of the stage. If you get there early enough, you can walk over to the pit and get a wristband that allows you to get into that section of the venue. Keep in mind it is first come first serve. The only thing I did not like was that the stage is a little low so if you want a good view, you have to get up to the front or go to the rows behind the pit that are more elevated. Other than that, The Drums performed an amazing show! Absolutely sensational. The sound and everything was perfect and I'm glad I spent my New Years Eve getting to see them perform live with such veracity and energy. Additionally, their opener, 60 Juno, was also great! I cannot wait to see both of these performers again :) read more

Unfortunately since I'm 5'3" I had a hard time seeing from both the GA Floor and Pit. But I still had a great time and enjoyed checking out the Photo Booth, outdoor smoking area and rooftop bar before the show. After the show the staff seemed to be in a big hurry to get everyone out of the building, even telling us to leave the sidewalk in front of the theater which seemed unnecessary. read more

Went to see Wolf Alice Oct 11. First time at the theater. Love the architecture and vibe with friendly staff. HOWEVER.... Huge issue with the sound in the pit area - it was a complete garbled mess. Sadly the amazing vocals were completely drowned out by the base and drums and even the keyboards sounded echoey. Very disappointed to not being able to enjoy a great band - will think twice about going back to this Venue till we hear the sound issues have been fixed. read more

this is the worse venue i've ever gone to and ive gone to over 30+, that is honestly impressive. 05/31/25 there was NO air conditioning for a 900+ tickets sold show. at some point a man was super intoxicated and throwing up on himself and others, i let the security guard know and he said "he said he's fine" but the guy couldn't kept a single word out. everybody was begging and asking for water and security didn't care and would drink their own water bottles in front of us. i attached a picture of the guy that refused to help the intoxicated man even though he CLEARLY needed help, he could have easily choked on his own vomit and this venue did not care. he wanted to leave the pit which is why he went to the front but i guess that wasn't enough for this security guard to register. there were 3 or 4 other ""security guards"" that night that were no better, don't think they know anything about how to grab someone while they are crowd surfing because i saw another security guard throw a girl on the floor, i have a video of it as well. i will never come here again and ive never had to write a negative review for any location but this was impressively bad. 2 guys and 2 girls setting up the security before entering the venue and checking bags were super polite and sweet but cannot say the same for the people that were in the actual venue. the show was also amazing, it's a shame that this venue couldn't be added into the wonderful experience. read more

Saw 4 shows over the past 7 days and here's what I learned: PARKING - parking in front of the venue in the Chase parking lot is a rip-off. Park in the surrounding lots for $2. I found the parking lot off of 3rd st. on the east side of Garey Ave. which is a short walk across the street. Currently the first two hours are free and anything after 2 hours it gives you until 8 a.m. the next day and only charges you $2. There's also lots of 2 hour parking and yes the cops do check and give you a ticket or tow you if it goes past 2 hours. Currently the parking machine at this location is finicky and you have to apply the right pressure on the green button for it to work, but it does work. RESTROOMS - they're at the top of the stair case, there's usually a line for the women's restroom. Also, the door is either missing or doesn't lock on two of the stalls so get someone to hold the door closed for you. VENUE - there's an outdoor smoking area to the right, down stairs and also upstairs. Also, you need to pay extra for a wrist band to get to the floor or to sit in the balcony. General admission is for the tiered standing room only platforms and if you're short, you need to get there early to get at the front of the railing otherwise it's a gamble if you'll be able to see anything. I suggest standing along the railing towards the center. I hung out in the walkway quite a bit and only one out of four times did a security guard come by to clear the walkway. SHOWTIME - all four shows the doors were at 7, show started at 8 and headliner went on at 9. The line getting into the venue can be long and hold you up depending on the artist and how popular they are so a safe time to get there, be parked and in line is 7:40 p.m. the latest if you want to catch both the opener and headliner or to secure a spot for the best view. I only stayed to the end for one of the 4 shows and they cut the opener off at 8:40 ish and the headliner was cut off with no encore by 9:45 p.m. If the parking lot is empty or looks not full by 7:30 p.m. chances are there might be low attendance or everyone else is late. It's less stressful than seeing a show in L.A. and still a fun time. I noticed both the artists and the crowd are way more relaxed and nicer here versus L.A. venues of the same caliber. The vibe here is always fun/chill. read more

I'm a type one diabetic and had my medical supplies while trying to enter the venue. Security at the front told me that they weren't sure if they could allow it inside and said they would need to call over a registered EMT staff which is fine. The EMT came over and looked at my supplies and just said "you have to throw it away to get in". I had needles and insulin which are required to treat my condition. I've NEVER experienced this issue with other venues when my bag has been checked. I simply show that I have insulin and most people simply understand I have to carry needles. This was a severe overstep and lacks any understanding of medical needs. Also, after further research, this actually violates ADA policies. read more

Just saw a band called Slowdive and I feel bad for them for deciding to book here because this was the worst live show I've been to in a long time (and I go to very many shows). We left early and will not be back. Reasons you should think twice before attending a show here: 1. Hot AF, no AC and is very stuffy. 2. Even if you have GA admission, they only give pit/floor to people that have no life and show up 5 hours before the band goes on. You literally have to arrive early and get a wristband. Get ready to fight for a 1 sq ft of space of standing in the bowl of the venue with a crappy view and security yelling at you to pack in tighter. 3. The sound was terrible. Not sure if that's the theaters fault or the bands, but whoever was in charge of that should be fired. 4. Legit thought I had the whole time- "if there was a fire how the F would we get out alive??" 5. Pomona is a total dump. I know the theater has been there a long time and is nostalgic for some, but man, this town is just gross. Not worth anyone dumb enough to book here. read more

As a woman it definitely made me feel more uneasy vs safe. They kicked out so many people for literally no reason, im assuming they over sold tickets and had to find a way to clear out the venue. Came here on 01/26/24 to see Twin Tribes, Urban Heat, Vandal Moon & Nuovo Testamento. I've got to say I'm pleasantly surprised since the last time I was here. The place has undergone renovations and it looks beautiful inside. The set up was spacious and restrooms were well maintained. It was well ventilated and security/staff were friendly. Spontaneously decided to see Willow Smith preform here last night and had the best time! My friend and I were out getting drinks when when my other friend texted me about this event! I quickly told my friend and we were on our way to the venue! The tickets were $50 each and considering it was for Willow, it wasn't a bad deal! We arrived to the Venue as soon as the opening act finished their last song. We went to the bar to get drinks and we got a seltzer and a margarita. I love me a strong margarita but I had to drive so I gave it to my friend. We were under the impression that Willow opened but still vibed with the other act in the car.To our surprise, Willow's music started playing throughout the venue. That was my first experience there and it was really great! Will have to see more shows here in the future! read more

The Fox Theater is an amazing historic venue located in Downtown Pomona. I've frequented this venue in the past and had some really good memories here. The venue itself is gorgeous. This venue has potential to host up to 2,000 guests alone! Sure, when coming here for a concert, just like any other the venue, the security has to monitor people and make sure that it is a safe environment for the guests' enjoyment. The sound of this venue is great. I've come here for a rock concert and an EDM concert before, and had no issues with the quality of the sound. I look forward to attending more events at this venue in the future. read more

This is the dumbest theater I have ever been to. If I could give it negatives I would. First of all, when they say GA floor. They mean be here in the morning because only 500 people get the floor, everyone else who bought GA Floor is going to be packed like sardines on top of each other in the lower bowl area. They don't disclose any of that information at the time of purchase and when you try to ask they are rude and try to talk to you like you're stupid for not knowing. On top of all that, ITS HOT. I don't know if they just don't turn on the AC or if they don't turn it up enough to fit the crowded ass space they have us in. While here, we also saw security leave their post various times and people just sneaking into the pit that has a capacity limit of 500 according to them. They are putting people at risk and scamming people into thinking they're getting on the floor. Oh! And by the way, THEY ONLY HAVE ONE SET OF RESTROOMS. It's a sold out event and most of the people here are teenaged females with one set of restroom available, broken stall doors, and they are dirty and unattended. read more

Don't normally write reviews but I thought people should be aware of these things for future shows. 1. They allow overnight camping and lines to form before venue opens. Around 5PM, they tell you to put your stuff away and that they will let you into venue in 10 min so you can't leave the line. Then for some reason, they make you wait another hour or so outside in same line! People definitely could've kept sitting down with their stuff or been able to leave line to use restroom. 2. First 50-100 people are let into this tiny room where the "line" you made and waited in will be destroyed. You are then let into main lobby where you are separated again into two lines where you are given wristbands. Becomes free for all to the front. 3. Depending on show, the pit can become very squished and hot. Please be careful. There was also no security near the front stage until the end and added tall photographers who kept messing up the barricade view. 4. There was zero security when being let in. No pat downs, no metal detectors, nothing. Please be aware of these things and complain to venue if you agree with me! Thanks. read more

Worst place ever!!! Just saw one of my favorite artists and it wasn't the performance it was the theatre itself! They have NO AC!!! Literally sweating. People getting light headed and passing out. The lighting on stage from the top was horrible and the sound coming out of the huge speakers on the wall were horrendous. The opening act we couldn't even hear what he was singing, all you heard was the drums. We were front row in front of stage and it was really difficult to understand what the heck was going on. I've never sweated so much from lack of air flow or ventilation. Yall could've at least put fans! I didn't even drink (alcohol) thank God otherwise I would've passed out from the heat! This venue is great but only cause I live locally. Otherwise, it's small and VERY hot. Recently went to see Tash Sultana and before the concert started, we stood waiting, as my group and I was pouring sweat. It feels like there's no air ventilation in this old building. Built in early 1900's, I'm starting to realize it's best to attend concerts in newer venues if comfort is a priority. Also, venue should be updated 100%. read more
