A close venue with a great vibe! Seats are a bit tight but the music is great and you can bring your own drinks and snacks.

First time here and it was a good experience. Good lay out of the venue and plenty of bathroom for the size of the amphitheater. Sound traveled over all was very good. Food was also plenty with good variety . Drinks of all kinds from beer and cocktails and soft drinks. LOVED the fact you could bring your small cooler to the concert and/or drive your golf cart to the venue and park it in front of the amphitheater by/around the handicap spots. read more

The food, service, and ambiance were great. The seats are tight and are slanted up so they cut off the circulation at mid-thigh. There is no room for a cooler unless you buy a table or sitting in lawn seats. read more

It was a lovely city hall. It had all of the places you'd expect it to have. It was a little confusing to find where to go, but the folks were super helpful and friendly like you hear southerners are... but you never really encounter them. These people seemed legit nice. I had to walk up and down a bunch of steps to get to where I was going. The lady, who helped me suggested I drive to avoid the stairs, but I decided I was up to the challenge. I'll admit I did get a little winded running up the last set, but it was worth it. If you have a reason to go to here, you probably have very few choices in the matter. However, they make it pretty enjoyable. The landscaping and design of the place is pleasant, as well. read more

The Fred's Venue A-Z page reads that, "All shows are rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions which require a show cancellation, the Fred will contact the ticket holder with details on rescheduled event dates or refunds." After last night's experience, I wonder what they consider "severe weather" to be. My wife bought concert tickets for my birthday. We arrived at the Fred about 30 minutes before the concert was to begin. It was raining heavily, so we decided to wait a few minutes before going in. It wasn't long before we began hearing thunder and seeing flashes of lightning. I checked my phone's weather app and saw that the National Weather Service had issued a "Significant Weather Advisory" for the area, warning of frequent lightning. They advised people outdoors to "seek shelter immediately." There were numerous lightning strikes in the immediate area. I knew that NCAA rules require sporting events to be suspended for at least 30 minutes when there is lightning within 8 miles of a stadium, and I assumed that other outdoor venues like the Fred would take a similar common sense approach. I began checking the Fred's social media accounts for news on delaying, rescheduling, or cancelling the concert, but clearly the concert was proceeding. We waited a long time after the concert began for the weather to let up, but if anything, the lightning was getting worse. Finally, my wife called the venue to ask for a ticket refund. The person she spoke with was rude and sarcastic. She told my wife that there would be no refund because the concert had not been cancelled. My wife told her about the NWS advisory and that the NWS was warning people against being outdoors. An outdoor concert simply wasn't safe in those conditions. My wife was told that the Fred had "staff monitoring the situation." What qualifications did they have to judge whether it was safe for others to be outdoors? We're going with the meteorologists' advice! My wife was told that the Fred couldn't issue a refund, and that she would have to take it up with the ticket seller. My wife called Ticket Alternative and got more rudeness and sarcasm. She was told that we should "just eat" the ticket costs. I wouldn't have a quarrel with the Fred if it had been just rain (we were prepared for that,) but lightning can kill. The National Weather Service's Lightning Tips page reads that "NO PLACE outside is safe when thunderstorms are in the area!!" [emphasis theirs] and that, "if you hear thunder, lightning is close enough to strike you." As I write this, thirteen people in the U.S. have been killed by lightning strikes so far in 2018, one of them in Georgia. According to the American Meteorological Society's Statement on Weather Safety and Outdoor Venues, "In the U.S., hazardous weather kills attendees at entertainment venues each year," and that "in many instances, organizers simply 'hoped that we wouldn't get hit.'" That certainly seems to be how the Fred handles it. One person my wife spoke to on the phone told her that in her four years of working for the Fred, they had never cancelled a concert because of weather. Be forewarned that the Fred will proceed with a concert in dangerous weather before it will cancel it and have to issue a refund. Your options in dangerous weather are: stand outdoors in lightning or forfeit your money. read more

What a great open-air amphitheater! We've seen Kansas, Trisha Yearwood, Huey Lewis, and most recently, Kenny Loggins at the Fred in Peachtree City within the last year. It was always a great time. The best part is they let you bring in your own coolers with drinks, alcohol, and food. Of course, there is also great food and a full bar there on site but why pay for that when you can bring in your own bottles of fun? Many seating in the orchestra, lawn, and picnic areas bring their own table cloths, candles, and in some cases, crystal and china. Maximum seating at the Fred is 2,500 people but it never seems crowded. The "front row" orchestra pit area seats up to 240 and with rounded tables. The lawn section to the far right of the seating area for those who want to enjoy a woodstock ambiance. They hand out lawn chairs on the lawn so there is no need to bring your own - in fact, I believe it is forbidden! One important thing to note - if you have lawn seating, bring some appropriate shoes - that grassy slope is pretty steep, especially after a few drinks! A dozen or so picnic tables line the far left of the amphitheater to accommodate large parties. The center seating is your typical stadium seats. The Fred also has accommodations for disabled patrons. There really is not a bad seat in the house. Parking is available free of charge. With a home in PTC, we always take our golf cart and lug our coolers full of beer and mojitos all of about 300 feet from the parking lot through the entrance and to our seats. The Amphitheater has restroom facilities for men and women to the left and right of the back rain shelter area. Enjoy! read more

The Fred staff dropped the ball last night. No blankets allowed in the concert really pushed the our patience right over the edge. It was tuff enough during the rain storm not allowing umbrellas even though it was tuff to deal with torrential rains but we understand that rule. NO BLANKETS??? Come on, 50 degrees outside and temp dropping through the show. We have been season ticket holders for a very long time. The reason we where given for not allowing blankets was that patrons spread them out on the grass and take up to much room. We where not sitting on the lawn , we had tables!! It wasn't the security teams rule , they where nearly the messenger but they could use a customer service class. read more

I went there on vacation because I heard about the 90 miles of golf cart paths. What they don't tell you is they are not connected and there are no signs to tell you which way to go when one ends. I was lost the entire time. Also the car traffic is really bad. read more

It's a great venue. Everyone can see the stage. Lawn seats are great, They provide the chairs. Weather can be a little obstacle but very few concerts in the 25 years have been affected. The concert was only postponed by 30 min. for a thunder storm. The top area is covered so you don't have to sit in a poncho in the rain if you don't want to. It's so great to be able to buy tickets at the venue any day of the week without the extra fees. Yes you can bring your own food & drinks/ cooler must fit under your seat or buy your seat in gold or picnic table. Don't forget the candles if you get a table. They also sell really good food & drinks there. Order a pizza, they can deliver to the venue. Remember doors are @ 7 show starts at 8PM. read more

Fairly nice venue if the weather cooperates. Oh, and no refunds for bad weather. It is a kind of theatrical Russian roulette. Don't wast your money on the tables. They have you seated like sardines on cheap folding chairs. It's terrible. read more

Just left a phenomenal show of Alan Parsons Project!!! Wow we're thinking this was the sleeper show thus far for the year. We were very disappointed in the venue since we smelt cigarette smoke off and on during the entire show while sitting in the right center upper section, great seats for sound and sight. But awful for the smell. They definitely deserve a 5 star rating, but just can't do with these conditions. Something needs to change. read more
