I went through Home Depot for a kitchen counter install. Worst home improvement experience in my life. French Quarry should NOT be in a contract with Home Depot. They had terrible customer service and the installation project was horrible. I was constantly chasing down Dieter from FQ and Home Depot to attempt to get the project completed. It took eight weeks from the date of install until the project was finalized correctly. Avoid this company at all costs. If they can't complete contracted projects correctly why will they complete your project to satisfaction?? This is your warming to stay away from the French Quarry. read more

Countertop and backsplash have obvious chips , they scratch the prior cabinets in different places, Mis measured the backsplash so I had to wait a week before getting the stove and water back in my kitchen and left me with some very obvious gap (sink was cut too close to the end so they could not put the front cabinet !!!! We used French quarry (not by choice) because we ordered our countertops through homedepot. I had used Home Depot services in the past and was always happy with the end result. There were a few mixups in the beginning with regards to time of install but was understanding considering everything was backed up because of covid. On day of install everything was great. The countertops looked just as I expected. There were a few marks that the company left behind on the countertops themselves but they were tiny and only I could really tell. Fast forward to today (3 months after project install) and our sink is getting ready to fall through (pictures). I've called so many times to try and get someone out to our house to fix it but all I get is that there is a ticket out for issue and that they will call me when they are free to fix it. They couldn't give me a timeline and said it could be weeks. Well it's been weeks and I continue to just hope that my sink doesn't come crashing down and break. We also just got our new appliances delivered and no shocking surprise the dishwasher doesn't fit because instead of replacing the wood plank for support they built under it to save time. So now we have to call another professional to fix the issue and get the dishwasher installed. Given the 3 star average review I'm really surprised Home Depot continues to use this company / refer them. So disappointed about it all and not sure what we should even do now. Worst part of our entire remodel was Dieter had promised to make the excessive problems and negligence right. He later disappeared, as all of them have done many times over the process. Our counter tops were installed incorrectly, where the drawer would not open because the sink was moved forward (per ******* insistence). Initially I had asked 3 times, why it "needed" to be moved forward. Finally he just stopped responding to me and it was what it was. Until, I found out that it caused the issue with the drawer. This made them have to come back out, which is when the real issues began. They again took me away from my work to send out two unskilled laborers to fix the issue; sawing and grinding dust and debris all over our brand new kitchen (it covered the entirety of the room and the appliances, as well as our table from my wife's recently deceased grandmother). - All of this, because he insisted that the sink be moved forward, after I pleaded with him that it not be. During the "fix" of the initial issue, the laborers carelessly used and left running our Alexa show all day, spewed dust all over everything, chipped our counter new marble counter top, damaged our brand new cabinets, and more. Dieter then insisted that he come out to look at the issues in person, thus taking me away from my job, once again - after I had told him that, if I were to do this again, it would need to be for a good reason. He made promises, after seeing everything that he would fix it (replace the items), and then disappeared; cutting off all contact. Insult to injury. Sadly he was the one who created the "injury" in the first place, only to insult afterwards. They make promises that are never kept, they do not install anything properly the first time, they will damage and break things that you own in the process, and then take you away from your livelihood, only to turn their backs on you in the end. read more

Requested a courtesy call for when the installers would be on there way, and Marcy seemed annoyed that I requested that. At the end of the phone call I thanked her for helping and not even a goodbye or you're welcome, she just hung up on me. So unprofessional. I can see why this company has such a Low star rating. I wish I would've considered other places in the area to get my countertops. I went to pick out my slab which was thousands of dollars (yes, granite is expensive) and asked if I could send the fabricator specific movements I wanted incorporated into "my countertops". Not only did he drop the ball, but when I called, acted like it wasn't a big deal. It was extremely disheartening to feel excited at installation, only to be told that it was what I ordered. Well, it wasn't what I ordered ... They refused to send someone out to take measurements of our space. The job is nearly $6000, and our kitchen has difficult dimensions and corners. We asked twice, and were told "there is no need for us to come see it." Customer service is seriously lacking. read more

We had started a kitchen remodel in February of 2020 and then had huge issues with contractors not responding and suppliers due to covid. We luckily were referred to The French Quarry and they went above and beyond to help us! We had an extra large island that we wanted a piece of 3cm quartzite for it, and also matching for the rest of our kitchen. Lyn was able to reserve it for us from a distributor when we weren't able to, and she made sure no one else grabbed it! :) The install was smooth and everyone was extremely kind and cautious given it was still a little bit of a unknown with the virus during the summer. We had enough left over to re-do two of our bathroom counters as well and again the customer service was outstanding. We will definitely contact Lyn again when we re-do our master bath! Extremely disappointed with the process. Complete lack of communication and follow through. They obviously are very short handed and blame it on product. I placed order with Home Depot on September 21st, selected my exact granite slabs the following day (therefore not a product issue)...and still do not have my countertops. After many attempts to request an install date, I finally get a hold of them and they are now telling me they can't do it until November 12th???? I am not happy to say the least! I do not recommend them unless they add staffing to accommodate such large accounts of Home Depot and shame on Home Depot for not doing their homework and selecting a partnering company that can handle such a large account. read more

Worst experience of my life. We spent over $5,000 on new countertops and they cut the sink crooked. Then they said it was my fault. We had workers show up to our house unannounced, with no communication or coordination. They didn't coordinate with the plumber either, so that was another fiasco. Nevermind the poor workmanship on all the polished edges, the fact that the stone is not flush with the window opening, or the opening for the stove is all kinds of jacked up. Bottom line, if you are thinking of having countertops installed by these jokers, you ought to just take you money and toss it in the fireplace. It will feel better than walking into your kitchen every day and have to twist your head like a confused dog to do the dishes. read more

I worked with Lowes to remodel my kitchen. They subcontracted with The French Quarry and my countertop nightmare began. They tried twice to install a beautiful stone granite called Café Cream. The first time their cuts were neat and precise, but I had an obvious crack by my sink. I immediately thought to hire a repairman and thought a discount was in order, but they wanted to replace it. Seems more that fair? Okay, I was promised a perfect installation so I agreed. The second install- worse than the first! Another crack on other side of sink, and poor cuts- one side too short leaving gaps between wall and counter and other side cut too wide having to cut into my already damaged wall from the first countertop removal. And guess what their solution is? Yup, another countertop. Third time's a charm right? No, each time their installs just get worse and I'm inconvenienced yet another day. I was a small job, only 31 square feet I guess it isn't worth it to them to do it right the first or second time. Pictures of my countertop are in photos. The second crack obviously isn't as noticeable so I am living with it and hoping it doesn't get worse and eventually covering the wall with a backsplash. read more

We chose to use Home Depot for Granite install in kitchen which was subcontracted to French Quarry. The process from Home Depot Design Consultant was good, then it went completely in wrong direction. If you are located in North Valley/Tramanto you will need to go to Tempe to view slabs (its an hour drive) if they do not have slabs you like then you have to take another trip back to Tempe and so on. French Quarry did Fabrication for Kitchen Island, Counters, Backsplash. The Installers came to home November 12, they worked late until 7pm. The next day when we went back to home we realized piece of blacksplash cuts/joints did not match or line up to other slabs that were installed (backsplash). We went to French Quarry the next day November 13, 2019 and spoke with Representative Vanessa/Dieter we had pictures of concerned area and showed to French Quarry Team. We were told at that time they would have Nick review and they would get back (no communication). We then went in again into French Quarry office, and spoke with Dieter and he communicated he would get back the next day after he spoke with Nick (No communication). I then sent another email to all, including Home Depot, French Quarry. Vanessa communicated with email that she thought we were to get back but she was not involved with our visit with Dieter; she stated in a email she would send us quote for another piece to be fabricated and installed. I questioned back asking how could they quote when we have had no one from French Quarry to home to view situation. We tried working with Dieter/Vanessa but as of todays date December 10 have not received any communication. We understand its a busy time for French Quarry and Home Depot but we need some solution/verbal communication. Next step will be BBB and ROC if this is not resolved. Kitchen is @ a dead stop! We contracted this company through Home Depot for our master bathroom new countertops. They came over to install on Tuesday but backsplashes didn't fit so they said they would call us to schedule another visit to finish the job. Three days later they have not called, we've been calling only to hear that the manager is out or not available, or whatever and they don't know when they will be back. In the meantime our bathroom looks like a construction zone and we haven't been able to schedule the plumber so the bathroom is unusable. And of course they already have our money. Frustrating and unacceptable. I only hope that Home Depot will do something about it. read more

This review is made BEFORE the installation of my new countertops just to share that Customer Service isn't their strong suit. From templating to being notified I needed to select my slab, it was 17 days. Then, Arizona tile had to reorder a slab since one was broken, so add another 9 days. I turned my slab selection approval form around in one day, and then another 20 days passed between slab selection and being contacted by French Quarry about my install date. I was given ONE, I repeat ONE choice for an appointment nine days from the call, and it was a Friday, I was not offered any other times. I shared my surprise with Marcy that this was barely over a week's notice and I was told "We only schedule about one week out" and then I asked if we could possibly push the appointment out a bit since a plumbing reconnect has to be at least 24 hours after install so all seals, etc. can cure and plumbers don't work on Saturdays. She told me the next available appointment was in early February. Now, call me silly, but if they only schedule about a week out, how is it possible they are booked through the beginning of February? I was born at night, but not last night....seriously how insulting and what a disgraceful way to treat a customer. So I have to go 4 days without the use of my kitchen? It was clear that was of no concern to French Quarry. Another issue I have is this is their line of work, and you cannot tell me they don't know that plumbing reconnects cannot be done same day and they know full well that MOST plumbers will not work on Saturdays unless it is a water emergency.....so I ask, why on earth would they schedule installs on a Friday? Can't they save Fridays for other work such as repairs, estimates, and templating, etc. unless of course a customer requests a Friday? read more

French Quarry is a sub of Home Depot on 67th Ave and 101. It was a horrible experience. They never made time lines at all. I had the installer in my house late at night installing a quartz countertop. They had to come back three times to do corrections and in one spot a dish would rock up and down like a seesaw. I do not recommend French Quarry at all or Home Depot. We took them to the ROC but lost the case with the results they meet minimum workmanship standards. I can tell you both French Quarry and Home Depot do not care if their customers are happy or not. They pretty much abandoned us with French Quarry, we were on our own. So my suggestion is run, run, run. read more

I used French Quarry through Home Depot. My problems started when the original template did not take into affect a window behind the sink. They then had to cut and seam add an extra piece rather than have it as part of the original template. Then they asked me where I wanted the faucet. I asked to to have the faucet I wanted it centered. They then put a hole to the right of center and tried to convince me that "other women like it there". Really? Other women...what is this the 60's? The manufacture of the sink has the coordinating faucet in the center! They did not replace my tops they just put another hole and and plugged the wrong hole. We purchased our kitchen cabinet package from Home Depot. Home Depot used The French Quarry to complete the countertops. They did a bad job. The sink was not secured in place correctly. First rule of sink installation is that it must be secured in place. Installation crew must be paid by the hour. They took way too long and didn't even bother to clean up the huge mess they made in the front yard. A "supervisor" did stop by during the day, he didn't catch the mistake with the sink and just seemed to be coming around to hand out shoot the bull. No quality control on their work at all. I was completely confused on where to start and what needed to be done and they walked me through and held my hand through the entire process. I'm going to give these guys a 2, instead of the 1 they deserve, because the product is beautiful. BUT the customer service at this place is terrible. First of all - three weeks went by after I paid for my countertops before I even got a phone call to schedule my template. I called back a half an our later, Cody wasn't there. I called the next day - Thursday. Cody's not there. I called Friday, and guess what? Cody wasn't there. Same thing Monday, same thing the first time I called Tuesday, until finally, Tuesday afternoon - almost a week later - Cody finally answered the phone, and told me they were scheduling templating two weeks out. Two MORE weeks, would mean that 5 weeks after I paid for the countertops, we still wouldn't even be in production. The manager talked to me and agreed to come out the following week. So only 4 weeks I guess? But then, it took two more months before my countertops got installed because they wanted to wait until after my windows were put in (the countertop goes flush up to the window). Fine. I'll wait I guess. The final template was done on Feburary 11th. I still did not get my countertops installed until March 6th. Fast forward to Saturday - 9 days before install - they tell me they need my sink choice ASAP in order to stay on schedule. I get it to them at 10:30am Monday morning. On THURSDAY (4 days before install!), I get a call saying that the sink is backordered, and I either have to pick a different sink, or face another delay. Via text, this is the exact conversation: Dieter: "The shipment of 7030 sinks is delayed and will not deliver until the middle of next week any chance you would like 6040 to stay on schedule for Monday Me: "This is ridiculous. I paid for these countertops on December 2nd (this message excahnve was on March 2nd) and you are telling me now, three months later, I either have to wait even longer or get a sink I don't want?" Dieter: "I've been dealing with this sink company for fie years and this is the first time they have not had stock. I apologize for not securing sooner but I have never had any issues" Me: "Are you serious right now? I don't even know what to say. I'm so frustrated." Deiter: "You can say thank you I am paying out of pocket to get you the same size sink but in a thicker gauge to keep you on schedule." Me: "Do you really want me to thank you right now? That's a joke, right?" Deiter: "I'm just trying to add a little levity." Me: "Did I seem like I was in the mood for your levity?" In my opinion, that is not the way you speak to customers. How dare he say I should say thank you!!! How about "Since it was my fault for not securing the sink sooner, I will upgrade you for free to keep you on schedule. I hope that eases your frustration". Nope. I should thank him - like I'm his buddy and we are all sitting around a poker table and he folded so I could win three bucks, and not like he is telling me that countertops that I paid for three months before might get delayed.... again. Had a very frustrating experience with this company. After being assigned to them through Home Depot we had one of their employees come out to measure for a new countertop. I was told that the size he was measuring for was the largest size our island support could hold. (Yes, it was a size that would hold without adding additional supports, which we did not have on our original granite, so we were unaware that it was POSSIBLE to have a different size, just that would require additional work to have). Once we received the countertop the size was smaller than our original countertop and when we immediately realized that, the delivery install contacted the owner of French Quarry on our front porch, he came in to tell us that he was required to complete the installation and we could not refuse the slab even though it was an error, he said the owner knows the issue and that we will have to replace it, so he would not completely cement down the slab since he will be coming back to replace it. We contacted French Quarry immediately, to have this problem corrected that day it was installed, but the response time was painfully slow. Days and weeks would go by waiting for a response. Finally after months of back and forth I was in touch with the owner after being assured by his representative that the problem would be corrected. He agreed to give us a new countertop with no labor charge but we were required to pay for the material. He also mentioned that Home Depot would pay partially for their part in the misunderstanding. I tried to contact Home Depot and was told that it must be French Quarry that contacts them in order for an agreement to be met. The owner of French Quarry assured me that he would contact Home Depot. 7 Months later I'm still waiting for his call. He was basically waiting for me to give up on constantly chasing him in order to avoid correcting the mistake. I hope this review helps others in avoiding this company. I notice that their grading on this website is an A-, but much lower on yelp. Avoid this company and Home Depot with any home remodeling projects. They are a complete waste of time, patience, energy and money. We still don't even have the slab caulked to our island because the initial install said it was a waste of his time and would be more work on him since we were "going to make him come back and redo the work anyway". read more

They were the vendor selected by Home Depot. Very happy with the materials and the entire process through the installation. It was a 5. The guys that installed the countertops were excellent at their trade. That's where it ends and the 5 star review goes to 1. A day after the installation, we chipped an edge. That was February. I've contacted them numerous times and they never get back to me. Finally today after over 4 months of emails, I was contacted with the lame excuse that the message was lost. Right. All of them? Their response is the don't fix "impact damage". I find it strange that a day after the installation a chip formed after a minor impact and I haven't had that problem since with heavy use. Customer service isn't horrible. It would have to exist to be rated. There is none. We have two more rooms to remodel with marble or granite. They definitely will not be in the running for those jobs which means Home Depot loses too. You have choices. Shop carefully and listen to others. read more

The French Quary contracts with the Home Depot and Lowes, The French Quary completely destroyed my kitchen they gave me the tiniest sink I ever seen and expect me to live with this, I try to resolve the situation by paying for the slab that was affected however they told me it was too late that the countertop is now sealed and is now my issue, you get what you pay for when they say you get something for free"expect the lowest quality item on the shelf regardless of how much you're paying for custom-made quartz countertops, The manager would not return my phone calls so I then had to resolve and report to the Better Business Bureau, do your research find another company!!!! The work is excellent (I have many friends that are in the construction world and they've all given a nod of approval on the fabrication and install). Went thru Home Depot for countertop. The French Quarry came into my home with 3cm thick quartz which we really like how they looked. The extra thickness that we order and not having a bull nose edge looks good. HOW EVER!!! The French Quarry used an 4" diamond blade grinder to make the all the cuts for my sink in one countertop and then all cuts for the stove in the island countertop. I was there helping with the installation at the time of the cuts and the quartz silica dust went everywhere possible. A couple months later I got sickness in my lungs for an extended period of time. Home Depot had to hire A/C cleaning crew to clean my ducts and A/C unit. We go stuck cleaning our home. The cuts to my sink countertop does not have rounded edges because of the grinding blade they use so I could never install an under the countertop sink because the corners are not corners with the cuts they made. Would not us The French Quarry again. The French Quarry did nothing in return for us. read more

We purchased quartz countertops with the waterfall option from Home Depot, installed by the French Quarry (in PHX, AZ). The waterfall was installed with the side closest to the cabinet unpolished and covered with scratches. The French Quarry said they never polish that side and there was nothing they could do. One of the tops was installed with a high spot at the seam so bad that a plate will not sit flat and rocks up and down like a seesaw. The French Quarry said that was "within tolerances" and refused to correct it. No one from Home Depot would come to look at these problems. We filed a complaint with the AZ Registrar of Contractors. Home Depot finally sent a rep to the field inspection. He was focused on proving that we had to accept the installation and never even offered a regret that we as customers of Home Depot were not happy. At the field inspection "The Registrar determined that there is not sufficient evidence to find that the respondent (Home Depot) failed to meet minimum workmanship standards". And will not correct these problems. If you choose to hire Home Depot and, or The French Quarry you may get work that meets "minimum workmanship standards" and there is nothing you can do about it. If you expect more than "minimum workmanship standards" we strongly recommend you do not hire Home Depot or The French Quarry. read more

I'm giving these guys a 1 even though the Quartz counter top was nice and they did a fairly good job but they made a mess of my new home which I just moved in on the 1st of April. They sawed the opening for the sink in my kitchen ( I understand why ) but all they said was that it would be noisy not once did they mention the extreme dust (Silica) or the health hazards of breathing it in. My whole house is covered from my new furniture, vents, fans, floors, etc.. I have been very ill and just home from the hospital and now I have a breathing problem, my Daughter who is visiting me to help with my healing had to use a breathing apparatus, even my dogs got sick. Home Depot contracted with French Quarry and when advised of the problem of the dust they were told I should have covered the areas I did't want exposed (wasn't that there job?) French Quarry refused to do anything about it and now I am forced to hire at great expense to me cleaning people to get my home back in shape . Customer service and common sense can make or break a company and this company is on it's way to be broken. I feel the least they should do is pay for a complete cleaning of my home. read more
