The Friendly staff & a large welcoming lobby (offering coffee & donuts) makes Aracruz RE a win-win for me. I ended up purchasing there.

Their guys showed up on time. They were courteous. They were respectful of us, and respectful of our home. They asked for our input when they got to a part that required some judgement. They performed mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. All done nearly to perfection. And they passed the acid test; after they left, I noticed two small things which I thought could have done better. They returned immediately and made these right. And they sent an invoice almost a week later (giving us an opportunity to discover any other issues, which we did NOT), and the invoice was for the exact amount of the estimate. They accepted my credit card payment over the phone. Our job was a small one, but they have definitely encouraged us to contact them again for our next job - small or large. During a significant remodel of our home, we relied on ProSource of Phoenix to help guide us through major design decisions and provide quality products worthy of the investment we were making. One of the largest and most important selections was nearly $30,000 in Mohawk engineered hardwood flooring (a product we were assured by ProSource would bring both beauty and durability to our home). Mohawk floor was recommended by Prosource. Unfortunately, when serious issues arose with the flooring quickly deteriorating and splintering, ProSource chose to hide behind Mohawk's denial rather than truly advocate for their customer. Instead of taking ownership or helping push toward a meaningful resolution, they essentially became paper pushers for the claim process. Two independent investigators identified flooring issues and no evidence of our misuse. As homeowners, we were left dealing with a defective product, mounting stress, and an estimated $10,000-$12,000 in labor costs, while the only resolution offered was replacement minimal material with no labor compensation. That is not what we expected after making such a substantial investment through a design and flooring professional. A company's value is proven when problems arise, not just during the sale. Sadly, our experience left us feeling unsupported and abandoned once the transaction was complete. Think twice before investing substantial money into products and promises that may not be supported when things go wrong.

When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. We had issues with Granite Transformation of North Phoenix, from right after signing a contact with them which was Sept 4th, 2021, they finally finished Oct 1st 2022. We had no communications for months, when we did get someone to talk to they lied, was promised multiple times over a year, to finish our Kitchen and Bath Room. Was told it would take 6 to 8 week to complete and it would be finished before Thanksgiving 2021, Lied to about the Thanksgiving date, parts not even ordered, and the order was lost I was told, this went on for months. Our kitchen/bath eventually got completed after calling them daily. It took over 12 months, numerous unanswered calls and messages. We were lied to numerous times. We kept getting the run around. I had to keep calling as well as the headquarters. Always an excuse, we were excited when we were told material was in. Sure they delivered the wrong material, and not complete. I would never recommend this company to anyone. After the job was finally finished, I did received a call, from the North Phoenix office, first call from them in 8 months. They wanted their money, I haven't even receive an invoice yet. I asked if I could provided them with a word document with over 4 pages of problems we had with their company, they didn't care, I wanted to talk to some one in management, was told they would let accounting work with me on this. 3 weeks after they finally finished our job, Monday Oct 24th, I received a call from Collections on needing to make a payment. So I can't even talk with a manager, and when you have a complaint, know one cares about it, and three week after finishing, with no invoice, sent to me, I get sent to collections. I have a compliant in with BBB, and Channel 3 news, this company can't continue to treat customers like they don't care, no communications, and don't try to call anyone, they won't return calls. Please don't use this company, we the customer don't exist in their view. read more

From the first encounter, the people at Granite Transformations were excellent to work with. Initially, Daniel walked us through the entire process so that we clearly understood everything involved. Admittedly, at the beginning, we were a bit hesitant about the idea of overlays rather than removal and replacement with the traditional granite or quartz products, but the process, material composition, various choices, and their guarantees were enough to convince us that this was the way to go. In addition Daniel brought in actual samples of every single choice (we NEVER had to rely on just pictures!), making the selection process extremely reassuring. He was as attentive as we were to us having what we really wanted and would be happy with, and was not afraid of saying. "You may not be happiest with this," and, most of the time, he was absolutely right and actually helped us save money. The only glitch in the process was the starting time and which would be done first, the bathroom or the kitchen, but this was due to the difficulties of transport from the west coast and no fault of Granite Transformations. GT worked VERY hard to communicate the changes and make sure that everything ran smoothly. The Install. What can we say about Wes and Eddie. If it's true that quality is in the details, they were both superb, always going the extra mile to make things right, from matching the counter patterns to making sure that every fit was exactly correct. They came through on our EVERY request, even at those times when we, oops, changed our minds, their motto was, "No Problem: We'll make it work," and they always did! For them, nothing could be "good enough"; it had to be "Just Right!" The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful! We could not be happier. From first to last, the team at GT is excellent. read more

Love my new countertops. Sean Mucci the consultant stayed on top of all the various steps. I had old laminate backsplash and they removed all of that and retextured my walls. I love the new look in my kitchen. The installers Mike and Tyler were great to work with and left the home clean. The drywaller Edgar was so meticulous in taping and protecting my home. Quick and efficient and very pleasant. The only reason it's not a 5 star is the plumber. Maybe he was having an off day. He worked very quickly but did not speak to me addressing all conversation with my husband. Now I ask, what husband really cares about the kitchen? We were very please with the whole process. Sean, our sales consultant, came to our home in the evening to accommodate our schedule and spent over 2 hours showing us samples and answering our questions. We decided to get new countertops, and the install process was seemless. Brad and Martin did a very thorough job, explained what they were doing, and left the kitchen clean. After the install, their plumber came in and re-installed all of the water and gas lines. He also fixed a broken valve that we didn't even know we had. Instead, I had my cabinet company replace all the doors and drawer fronts and update the island style and trim pieces. As a designer, I was very nervous about "painting" the existing cabinets and not having them meet my high standards. David was very patient with all of my questions and took the time to explain his process to me. Luis and his team showed up on time and covered every inch of my home that was in the spray area with plastic. They set up a spray tent and drying racks in my garage where they were able to do the majority of the work. In addition, they had large fans that vented outside to reduce the fumes. The end result is gorgeous! They matched my custom color to perfection. They primed, sanded, and filled areas that needed it, and the end result is a professional and durable finish. Luis and his team worked hard the entire time and were very respectful of my home and questions. I had contacted several companies prior to choosing Affordable Cabinet Refinishing.
