Ya know those days where you realize it's late and you haven't had dinner? But it's too late to eat a real dinner? Amid one of those, I found myself looking for something light to hold me over. A smoothie was just what I needed and I was stoked to find a place that was open til 9. Unfortunately, I showed up 20 minutes before closing and was turned away. Staff were already aggressively cleaning up and told me the kitchen actually closed half an hour before closing. Um, this doesn't make sense. Why would you post your business hours and not abide by them? Especially since this isn't really a sit-down kinda place where people might linger. Kinda gives me the vibe this isn't actually true and staff just wanted to get home amid a slow night. The one other time I've been here the smoothie was okay. Wasn't very generously sized or high quality for the price. Based on this and the lack of customer service, I unfortunately probably won't be back. read more

We stayed (are staying) at the Aloft for a week, and The Fresh Carrot could not be in a better location. We're big on smoothies for breakfast, and their fruit-forward choices are right up my alley. A smoothie plus protein powder is breakfast just about every day, great fuel post workout, and great preparation for the first beer to be cracked a few hours later. They do have plenty of lunch items as well, and the entire menu is full of healthy options. It's a little on the pricier side, but for fresh ingredients like this I'm not too surprised. They don't open until 10 and aren't open on Sundays, just a heads up for early risers or weekend smoothie fanatics. read more

Unfortunately the lady at the register is extremely rude. She doesn't smile or speak back. She just stands around as if she doesn't want to help. I greeted her with a smile and asked her how she was and she just started at me. I came back the next day and she was just as rude. I will not be coming back a third time. Went here with a couple of friends. Very great environment. The açai bowl was amazing it was fresh and something about the blueberries made me fall in love with this açai bowl. They were like raisins, but juicy at the same time! It was a punch of flavor. When it comes to an açai bowl I'm all about the toppings to base ratio. I would definitely come again for this açai bowl it was topped with pineapple coconut blueberry strawberries and banana which was all perfectly ripe. read more

I think this place opened up not too long ago, which makes it ever stranger that the past couple of times I've been there in the morning there is no one there, as in not even anyone tending the shop, so after waiting a few minutes I just left. This place is great. Delicious, fairly healthy food with a massive menu and generous portions. Not sure what else you can ask for. Plus it's kosher if that matters to you. Not only do I think it is overpriced, but it was tough and inedible I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away. I also pretty sure it was raw on the inside. Went with my friend and the server did a mistake and served her a salad that wasnt hers , my friend ate it thinking its exactly what she ordered and the server Came back to our table screaming at her saying "why did you eat it its not your food" My friend got offended by the employee so we asked for a refund for her meal and the owner came out saying he wont refund her that she got her food. I was visiting Miami about a month ago and leaving the hotel so I stopped by and thought I would have a healthy breakfast to start my day. I purchased a Green Dream that tasted like a Green Nightmare. The menu said Pineapple not Pineapple juice. If that wasn't bad enough, she didn't bother to shake it up before serving. Anyone who drinks pineapple juice knows that the pulp and flavor settles in bottom and the top is a watery substance. It was in a pitcher so maybe they never shake it up. In addition to the watery substance, she obviously added additional water to the drink. I've seen people add ice but water and especially at that price. In the end, the drink tasted like water with a squirt of Kale. You couldn't taste the other ingredients. It tasted like something that would be left on the counter for customers to drink for free like the fruit infused water at hotels which is much better. I walked passed that in the hobby lobby to spend my money on Kale water. I honestly felt like I had been robbed. I couldn't believe I spent $7 or $8 for a large cup of kale water. The service was also subpar. The clerk was making my drink and someone else came in. She stopped making my drink, went took care of the other customer who doing a pick up. Cashed him out and gave him his order and then came back to finish mines. Interestingly enough, she wasn't the only one working so he could have waited since he came in after me or she could have ask someone to take care of him. You serve the weakest drink I ever purchased and then make me wait for it even though I was there first. Good ridding Fresh Carrot, you don't have to worry about me returning. If I could give no starts, I would have. The worst costumer service that I've ever experienced. The owner/ manager refused to replace a dish I ordered that looked completely unappetising. The dish was not as described on the menu. The menu obviously said baked potato, a dish I ordered before, I received a completely mashed potato on a small plate that looked really bad. The owner was very negative and insulting, I was with my little boy and was almost brought to tears, she said she didn't like the facial expression I had when I was looking at the dish she served.... Can you believe it! I paid very good money, I got very bad service and was insulted in front of my child, just because I didn't like the dish...... shame on them. read more

I visited the fresh carrot with my son hoping to enjoy a healthy lunch this afternoon. Prior to arriving I had purchased a sandwich from subway which we carried it into the fresh carrot . I had ordered and took a seat placing the subway bag on the table. A gentleman approached my son and I and told us that they could not have any other food in the restaurant because it is kosher.I apologized and even suggested taking our order out rather than remaining in the restaurant. The gentleman asked me to put the subway bag into my tote. (At no point did either of us open and consume any of the subway food) This entire interaction made me feel extremely uncomfortable, so we ended up leaving with our order. read more

I visited this location today and ordered the salmon burger and sweet potato fries , when the burger came out it was tough like it had been over cooked, or it was old and reheated , I very nicely asked if they could make another one , and the owner stormed over and gave me attitude about how that's the way they come, and extremely rudely said giving you a refund . I was absolutely appalled at how terrible I was treated from the owner , and when I asked if they were remaking it he replied no . Delicious food and extremely nice staff. We went for an early dinner and everything we ordered was fantastic!! I got the LIV wrap and the B-52 smoothie (carrot, celery, beets, ginger and orange) and my husband got the homemade turkey burger platter (I tried it and it was amazing!) we shared a açaí bowl that was sooo refreshing and good.
