Let me start off by saying, I am glad I don't have to drive to Plantation for my favorite bowl, the harissa honey chicken. This location is clean and conveniently located off Biscayne Blvd in Loehmann's plaza. I love that there are so many Cava's popping up around South Florida, however the customer service needs more consistency. It is the new and shiny toy for delicious fast food so with that being said there needs to be more preparation so that no matter the time of day, you can have the same experience. I have been to this location for an early lunch, mid afternoon bites and in the evening for dinner and all experiences are very different depending on the availability of food items. I enjoy the chicken and rice or the harissa honey chicken bowl with saffron rice and arugula, crazy feta, tzaziki and hummus, tomato cucumber, pickled onions and corn for my bowl, but everyone has to find their fave combo to make it their own. In my opinion, the garlic sauce is the best sauce but if you go later in the day, chances are they may not have any. Which is disappointing if you have already placed your order because the sauces are last. I've learned my lesson and ask before I get in line because I've waited up to 30 minutes to create my bowl. Also, the original pita chips are delicious but you may also have to wait depending on their availability. They often have a special flavor like the harissa pita chip or their current sour cream flavor, but the original is good for me especially with all the flavors in the bowl. If you like Mediterranean flavors, this is the place to try. You can always ask for a sample if you need help figuring out what protein you want. I don't even know where to begin with CAVA. It was highly recommended to me by my niece, so I finally decided to give it a try. When I walked in, it was a little busy, which I understand--but once I got to the counter, the employees looked annoyed and like they didn't want to be there. At one point, one employee stated that she's not gonna start an argument with two other employees. There was no sense of friendliness or welcome at all. Things quickly went downhill when I ordered. I asked for avocado, and the employee literally placed half of an avocado--completely unsliced--into my pita sandwich, all in one section. I was honestly shocked. I don't know who trained him, but he definitely needs to be retrained. When it was my boyfriend's turn, he also asked for avocado and politely said, "Please don't do that--can you cut it and spread it out?" The employee responded, "Honestly, today is not the day, but I'll do that for you." At that point, I was completely taken back by his response. It only got worse. The cashier--who was handling money and the register--then went and touched my food to roll it. That completely crossed the line for me. I was in such shock I didn't even know what to say. After paying, we sat down, and I started noticing even more issues with cleanliness. There was debris on the floor, and the lower walls and floors looked dirty. I had already noticed while standing in line that there didn't seem to be much attention to cleaning or upkeep. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. First time trying Cava and this location is super busy. The line was long, although I did a pickup order I still waited for about 40mins until my order was actually ready so I don't think it mattered whether you ordered online or in person the time was the same. I tried the Harissa chicken bowl and more Harissa sauce and it was spicy never will I make that mistake. I took off some of the harissa sauce to have a nice balance with the hummus and tzatziki sauce. You have the opportunity to sit inside and it was very packed so of course there's noise. I've come here many times for lunch. I'd recommend coming early for lunch as the line does get long. There's many options for there bowls. The servers had always been friendly and the inside has been clean. Parking can get difficult especially during the lunch rush. They have outdoor seating as well. read more

Finally made it to CAVA on a Wednesday around 12:30 PM after all the hype. The place was packed with about 20 people ahead of me, but the line moved quickly. It was a little hot inside, almost like the AC wasn't working, which was noticeable given how crowded it was. Once I reached the first server, I let her know it was my first time, and she took the time to explain how everything worked. I really appreciated that. There were also screens explaining the process, and I loved that there were stickers on the glass listing ingredients for the proteins, grains, and sauces. That was very helpful for first timers. As I moved down the line, the experience dipped a bit. The other servers weren't rude, but they weren't friendly either. No greetings, just very neutral. Service wise, it felt a little inconsistent. You get one complimentary protein (chicken) or can choose two proteins. I added the braised lamb, which came with a $3.50 upcharge. That part honestly annoyed me. If I had ordered only braised lamb, it would've been a full serving for $3.50, but since I added it as a second protein, I was charged the same amount for half a serving. That didn't make sense to me, but now I know better for next time. I ordered a brown rice bowl with various toppings. The green jalapeño sauce was really good, and the harissa sauce had a nice kick. The braised lamb was the staR. Very flavorful. Once everything was mixed together, the bowl was honestly vetu good. I'd definitely go back, just at a different time of day. Love CAVA. This location is way more convenient than the new Brickell one because of the parking lot alone. It does get busy and I waited about fifteen minutes in line, but they had plenty of staff and were clearly doing their best to keep things moving. The food is always fresh and delicious. I stopped in to the New Cava Aventura location and was immediately impressed by how fresh everything looked and how fast the line moved, even though it was busy. The staff was super friendly and patient while I built my bowl, offering suggestions and letting me sample a couple of things before deciding. I ended up with a grain bowl loaded with spicy lamb, harissa, hummus, pickled onions, cucumbers, olives, and all the good sauces on top (the crazy feta is my fav) . Every bite was packed with flavor the toppings were fresh, the meat was seasoned perfectly, and the sauces tied everything together without being too heavy. The pita on the side was warm and soft, perfect for scooping up all the extra toppings. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and easy to sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed, even though it's in the mall. For the quality and portion size, the price feels more than fair.
