After almost 2 years of being a regular customer here (I only continue to go for group-shopping's sake), here are some of my observations. 1. The lady boss here is the meanest person I have encountered during my stay in the US. Not even in big cities like New York I find such rude people. I don't know how she survives in Athens, GA where they have very high standards for courteous and polite behavior. 2. This lady treats foreign students, on whom her business depends, like shit. I have observed this countless number of times. For example, the way the employees greet foreign students is significantly different from the way they welcome the others. It has been apparent that the employees are told to follow the students to see whether they steal. This is f***ed up! 3. While they accept Visa and Master for payments above $5, they always give a frustrated look when we try to pay something around $10 with card. If you have a problem, adjust your policy! 4. Mean-toned remarks at the counter are frequent. "Step aside", "Put what's in your hand on the table"...what's your problem? I kindly ask the local patrons to observe this disgusting manner this place treats its customers and do something within your capacity.

I was really overwhelmed at the vast array of products that was available! What started out as just pickles, has grown into a big business for this small town girl. While it's easy to understand pickling green beans, carrots and jalapeños; its another thing reaching out to sauces, jams and spreads. Speaking of spreads, Phickles is going all out distributing cheese spreads and even Angie isn't sure just how far this is going to go! From the taste of Pimento Cheese and Hot Mess cheese spreads, I think people are going to go absolutely nuts for it! Later that night, when we got home from our evening at the Gwinnett Braves game, we couldn't wait to have out own Phickle Pheast! Picking up some gourmet crackers from Kroger on our way home, we couldn't wait to dig in to the cheese spreads. I also had a couple of those Phickled Carrots and they are SO tasty! The shop was adorable with the gorgeous chocolates displayed visibly through the glass display case. I ended up just buying a vanilla bean latte and it was smooth and hot. I love that the shop had a set of barstools on the side of the shop. It gave it a homey feel.
