Fresh Market always has gorgeous flowers & gifts, fresh Herbs in pots, orchids etc., Moi always finds a cute gift here for someone. They also always have hard to find, papayas, osetra caviar, French Champagne & Brazilian med roast coffee $2.49 a cup you can enjoy in the groovy FM Lounge hahahah. On today's episode of chicken wars, we have the Fresh Market. This is the 2nd stop on my leg of the Florida rotisserie chicken world tour. It started off with a band at Publix, which is my #2 grocery store chicken as of penning this. I walked into the Fresh Market with decently high expectations, as it came highly recommended. A whole bird ran $8.99 and I got the butter garlic thyme flavor. I took it to this park bench down the street and started tearing into this chicken. The skin on this bird was INSANE. Probably the best chicken skin I've had other than Fairway. This was truly some elite tissi. Great skin, moist breast, fantastic leg. It was firing on all cylinders. I asked to try a sample of the two different turkey breast lunch meat behind their deli counter, and I was told by the older lady that worked there that I could not have samples. She let me know if she opened them both she would have to throw one of them out because they don't sell enough lunchmeat. I normally buy my lunch meat from Publix, but thought I would give fresh market a try. I am extremely disappointed that they can't offer their customers samples unlike the other grocery chains. I have to tell you what a great store this is. Just popped in for some quick breakfast food as the nearby Deli told me they don't open till 10. I was on a hunt for a very specific "spice" mix - a truffle & Parmesan cheese blend that is delicious on everything you put it on. Initially we had discovered it in NY and have been buying it on Amazon, but low & behold I saw it available online at Fresh Market & made the trip to pick it up rather than order and wait a couple days. Very happy I did! Not only did I find the flavor I was looking for, but I also found it comes in two other variations, and with this sale it was cheaper than Amazon! Such a happy day. I also did some of browsing since I hadn't been in this store before & found some other great finds including a delicious roasted onion dip, a fresh sushi plate, and so much more. We used to be regulars at the location. When they ran specials for certain meat items, you better get there ASAP or you'll be out of luck. The employees were always friendly and helpful. We rarely go as it's not on the way of pretty much anywhere we have to drive to, so we don't shop here often. read more

I discovered this store when looking for Acme brand whitefish salad (made in Brooklyn) They are the only store that carries this item in the Tampa Bay Area. They also have smoked whitefish, vacuum packed and 'schmaltzy' (Yiddish for with fat) Their store-made salmon cakes and crab cakes are so yummy. Their bakery has a nice variety of desserts and breads at reasonable prices. (Less than Publix and tastier) Their deli is mostly store made foods to take out they have a small selection of cold cuts. They have a nice produce selection and seasonal favorites. Lots of parking out front. The staff is very helpful and the store is very clean. I'm still learning my way around it. read more

You can get unbelievable deals on steaks seafood and several other items on the Thursday specials. The family meal deal bundle is amazing for $25 for a family of four offering shrimp chicken burgers and kebabs.? It also carries stonewall kitchen products from dressings to jams to cooking sauces. Pretty good grocery store, albeit a small space and some high prices. Things here are very fresh. I think it's probably one of the best butchers of the grocery store chains around. The meat I get is always fresh. Plus Tuesdays are $2.99/lbs. chicken and ground chuck. Their prices are pretty high otherwise, but they serve many quality products. I especially like all of the fresh flowers that they offer. You can definitely find a vibrant bouquet to add some beauty to your day. And we definitely need some positively, since we're currently in a pandemic. Speaking of which, I think Fresh Market is one of the only grocers to require shoppers to wear masks in addition to the employees. I'm not sure how strongly it's enforced, but most shoppers I saw were wearing masks. They also had sanitized carts inside, and plexiglass in between the registers along with some distance markers. The Fresh Market is my "Go To" for quality products. I love their BOGOs on Mondays (Market Style bacon". On Tuesdays the "Chicken and Chuck". The chicken is very good quality and always cooks well. I love the Deli bar's Vinegar slaw and Seafood salads. Their crab cakes are also very good. Hey have a variety of coffees too. Great store and I would recommend visiting so you can experience very good quality foods, produce, meats, seafoods, and anything else that you can image I terms of foods. read more

I just discovered this place and I absolutely love the seasonal festive feel as soon as you walk in. Even though it's a grocery store it just feels more fun. The staff were friendly and efficient at check out. There was a bit of a wait at the meat counter, but that was to be expected given that's what they're known for. I would've given this place 5 stars but some items are a little highly priced. I stopped at sprouts before and literally bought the same thing for $4 less than they were selling it for here. I Ordered and paid $119. For the honey spiral ham with sides Christmas Dinner and picked it up December 24 th 2022. I was visiting my 91 year old mother in Independent living and wanted to make the Holiday special for her and our small family of 6. We have a wonderful Fresh Market in Sunrise, Fl where I live and based on that I ordered dinner from the Clearwater store. BIG BIG MISTAKE !! The ham was sliced so thin that your cooking directions I followed very carefully dried it out like leather while it sat in pan of greasy brown melted sugar. Scalped potato with cheese was rubbery. Bean medly bland. I could go on but after that everything else was unpleasant also. So thank you for ruining our day and what could be my moms last Christmas Day Dinner! read more

This is my favorite Fresh Market location. I go to the one on Dale Mabry in Clearwater more often now that I don't live in Clearwater, but I have a hard time with it since the That location was shit down due to a bad rating by the health department a couple of years ago. This location is a bit smaller, but it really does have the European market feel and it almost inspires me to scratch a meal when shopping here...I said almost. This is a great place to explore new gourmet items. The bulk foods, the Bakery, the heirloom tomatoes and hard to find gourmet items are all great reasons to come to FM. I know that if I can't find a condiment elsewhere I can find it here. Seasonal items are always highlighted at the front of the store. Some of my favorites are the in season fruits & veggies, bulk nuts, bulk coffee, bulk spices, bread loaves (zucchini, pumpkin, berry, banana nut), other desserts, meats, Giovanni brand anchovy paste, the olive bar and some ready made foods. read more

I've been shopping at this store for many years. These days I stop by to purchase a particular item. If you love savory bread, I have a big tip for you. Please, go to a Fresh Market and get a loaf of their Signature Three Cheese Black Pepper Bread! (see pic) It comes whole or sliced. It is very tasty and when it's toasted it becomes manna from heaven. It makes awesome croutons, too. There was a period of time when they didn't offer it however, they are now amply stocked with it. Thank goodness! Granted, it's probably not the most healthy bread option out there but sometimes we just need to give ourselves a treat. I do find that Fresh Market's produce section is amazing and their meat counter is vast however, their prices (overall) are a bit steep. read more

I just got home from what was to be a tasting. Oh, but I guess nobody told the employees about it. After receiving several emails & ads at the cash register saying this was today, it didn't happen. They were advertising all kinds of different foods & we were looking forward to driving all the way down there. We asked 2 gentlemen at one of the stations & they said you have to ask at the meat counter, the deli, the bakery etc. When I asked at the deli they told me someone was in the hospital & someone had died. What this had to do with the tasting who knows. They acted like I was asking for something that they knew nothing about. The bakery actually had a 1/2 finger of cheesecake. When I was & leaving the store, I saw a person who seemed to be a manager & he said they had orange juice & showed me a tray anyone would miss behind bottles of orange juice. Another woman maybe an assistant, said you can ask for a sample any day & they will give it to you. Uh, not quite the same. A friend of mine went to her local store & they had 4 different types of cheese, kalamata olives, salami, spinach dip with vegetables, fruit with fruit dip, slices of pecan pie & chicken croissant. I just don't get it, how one store is completely oblivious while another is more than happy to accommodate customers. If they didn't advertise it & email me, it wouldn't have been a big deal but if you save the date for nothing, it is very disappointing. This is the Clearwater store. read more

The first thing I noticed was the beautiful flowers and what a deal they were. I felt like the store had won me over right then and there. Next, noticed that there were so many zany things that are different about the Fresh Market when compared to other chains. For instance, they have a great range of products that you can only find in a specialty shops or the fact that they have a GREAT fresh trail mix station. Prices were actually cheaper than expected and on some products a dollar less when compared elsewhere. I was sad when I found out they were missing the common staples I would need. They do not have a health and beauty section at all. I needed a Xmas greeting card...nothing like that at TFM. I had to go shopping somewhere else afterwards. Additionally, the ready to eat market had few options. I did buy a chicken pesto wrap ($7) and it was great! In fact, I was jonesin' for it so bad that I ate it in the car. I would love to come back, just for a few odd items but I could never finish my full grocery list here. They simply do not have all that I would need. read more

The Fresh Market on US 19 is somewhere I know I can consistently find high quality food at a reasonable price. Their produce always looks to be at its peak, and I have never had any fresh meat (steak, chicken or fish) go bad, which unfortunately cannot be said about some other grocery stores. Two of my favorite reasons to visit Fresh Market are their boneless chicken breast special on Tuesdays ($2.99/lb) and their family meal deals. The chicken is fresh, high quality, and the pieces are huge. I like to stock up on Tuesdays so I always have some frozen chicken breast ready for a quick meal. The family meal deals vary each week and usually run $20-25, and give you everything you need to make a full dinner for a family of 4 (sometimes it will be enough for more servings). These are meals you will still have to actually prepare, but everything you need will be in one area and at a discounted price (if you but all the items, otherwise you'll pay their regular individual prices). This saves the trouble of running around the store finding different ingredients in different aisles and possibly forgetting something. It also introduces new meals into my family's weekly menu that I might not otherwise have thought of. They often include a prepared dessert too (like cookies). Most meals I have prepared in 30-45 minutes from start to finish, some make take a bit longer. They even have a menu card for you to take home with all the directions. These meal deals are good all week long, and if you notice any of the items are gone they staff is always happy to bring out more or make an accommodation if an item is sold out. read more

I like The Fresh Market chain of high-end grocery stores, but I wasn't wildly enthusiastic about this particular location in Clearwater. To be fair, I am used to the location on Dale Mabry in the heart of Carrollwood, and found this location in Clearwater to be cramped and difficult to navigate with shoppers playing bumper carts down the aisles. I was in the Cypress Point shopping center along US 19 to have lunch at the Green Mint Asian Grill, and thought I'd check out The Fresh Market for some dinner options. The signs outside were advertising sales on seafood, so that sounded like a good plan. Turning right through the front doors you're in the area for fresh produce and vegetables, and I always stop there to find some salad fixins and fresh fruits. Thankfully I had just picked up a basket by the front door as many of my fellow shoppers were pushing the great big carts around the store and then slamming them up against the produce bins. You had to be very careful or they would have run you over. Then on to the seafood / butcher case where most civilized people took a number from the paper ticket machine and waited for their number to be called. Unfortunately the vast majority of shoppers that afternoon felt the need to bully their way up to the counters and start barking out their orders. I finally gave up and walked away without my seafood. The trip up and down the narrow aisles was equally frustrating as the shoppers were zig-zagging back and forth making it nearly impossible for anyone else to reach for items until they had passed. The food may be wonderful and extremely high quality, but it does no good if people can't have a pleasant shopping experience. In the end I gave up, very frustrated, and just paid for my produce and fruits. I don't see myself returning to this store. read more

Like a miniature version of Whole Foods, in my opinion. They have all of the organic and small business essentials for those looking to escape buying Kraft Food and Monsanto brands. They also have some decent prepared foods, like rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, potato, macaroni, as well as taken and bake pizzas. I haven't tried their sushi, but I absolutely love their wakame (seaweed salad). They have a great beer selection. This includes alcoholic beers AND root beer, both of which I love. One of my favorite aspects of the store is the peanut butter grinder. Few things in life as good as fresh ground peanut butter. Lastly, if worthy to note that there is a ice chest neat the front door that carries spring water ice. I imagine most people don't see it until they've already paid and miss the opportunity to by some, so just a head's up! read more
