I absolutely love this place. I recently moved to the Buford area and am so thrilled that I'm super close to The Fresh Market. I love going here for fresh fruit, meats (filets, halibut & awesome pot pies), pre-made salads (caesar is my favorite), fresh french rolls & delicious cookies & cake slices! The food here is always fresh & the service is friendly. It's a relaxing shopping experience as well no screaming kids, there's not ten thousand people trying to push through crowded aisles with huge carts, and best of all lines are usually pretty short at checkout. Happy to find that this location was only 10 minutes from my office. Fresh Market was the first "gourmet" grocery store to come to Chattanooga many years ago so I remember them fondly, this store looked exactly like the one I knew from years ago as well. When my wife got addicted to Blenheim's Ginger Ale recently that a friend picked up here I knew I'd be making a trip. That stuff isn't cheap at 8.99 a six pack but the lower than Kroger ERD prices on Ginger Beer for Dark N Stormies made up for it. Their produce and meat selection looked good as well. Always very generous staff! Super friendly environment for my kids. They have a little basket full of fruits that you can take for your hungry kids. I personally love there pizzas and beer selection. They have everything that you need last minute. Also love when how the store is organized. Gives the customers ideas on what to make for dinner. Also so close to home. Fresh Market's deals on $2.99 Tuesdays literally cannot be beat. You can buy organic, hormone&antibiotic free meats for $2.99/lb (depending on what is on sale that Tuesday, usually some kind of poultry & beef). I am SO SAD that we will be moving away from Fresh Market because I have no idea where I will be getting such a steal on my meat from! Their food is delicious but a little pricey....above Trader Joe's but below Whole Foods. The stores feel cleaner and more well taken care of than TJ in my opinion. read more

I love this store...i love all the salads and sandwichs you can grab. I will drive out of my way to go here bc i dont like salads at publix or kroger. Yesterday i drove 20 mins to get here in afternoon traffic. They didnt have my favorite chicken caesar salad. So i asked the lady workin in the deli. She went all the way in the back and got me the last one. And then when i was on the chip aisle a nice guy that worked there greeted me. And i told him i couldnt find the price of this chip. He offered to take it up front and find out for me. He came back quickly with the price. And the cashier was so nice too. The employees here go above and beyond for customers. read more

Overpriced, processed, un-natural foods. Same things at publix but more costly. Not at all what people think about this place. The foods are full of chemicals, preservatives, and artificial flavors and colors. So unhealthy. The bakery bar is just packaged chemical filled foods put nicely on a shelf, not homemade. What's the piont? Why not just go to Publix or Kroger?? Im driving further down to Whole Foods from now on. If Im paying $$$ then it better be worth it. read more

If you order from Fresh Market, be sure you open the package BEFORE leaving the store to be sure it is what you ordered. I have had 4 problems in the last couple years and this past Saturday was the topping of why I can never order from them again, and if I do will open the package while in the store. I am so disappointedwith Fresh Market in Suwanee GA. For the past 3 years I have had 4 problems and this past Saturday was it. I went in the store on Friday and ordered 6 lbs. of shrimp to be cleaned and no tail and I explained to the girl I was going to bake it and so she also helped me in choosing the size shrimp which she suggested Xlg. I had 14 people for dinner coming for my granddaughters christening. I got everything on the stove and ready to go and then I opened up the bag with the shrimp to find out it was all cooked. I was extremely upset. I called the manager and he was to get 6 lbs. ready for me, but when my husband got there he noticed they had to wait for it to be defrosted. It was now just after 7:00 p.m. so my husband called and said there is no way we could have it until very very late so he got our money back which was eighty something dollars then had to order Chinese for our company which cost us $158.00. You can imagine how upset we were. In addition, 2 Thanksgivings ago I ordered a fresh turkey only to find out in the morning it was frozen, horrible and disappointing day. There were two other incidents besides the ones above. They may have good meats but service is HORRIBLE!!!!! I am writing this so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Check before leaving the store. My night was ruined with out of state company and just another problem with Fresh Market at our expense. read more

Ok I was under the impression that this place carried only organic-esque foods but once I checked alot of items had the same ingredients as say a Kroger or Publix but more expensive. They even sell coke and bag with plastic. The staff is friendly in all departments but I cant see going out of my way to come to this store again. read more

Okay I can not go here without using restraint or I walk out of this place spending an obscene amount of money. I use to live in the apartments right behind Fresh Market and go there almost everyday to get something fresh (meats, pre-made items, salads, etc) for dinner. I love their cakes & desserts. It's pricey for your regular grocery shopping (aka Walmart, Publix or Kroger). Their hours are bad because they open late and close early. One time I called to ask if they have Coffee K-Cup (Keurig cups), and the person I talked to wasn't helpful and had no idea what I was talking about. Long story short, they don't sell them. I was finished shopping at fresh market and had a car full of goodies. When I went to crank my car, the battery was dead and of course it was pouring rain. My husband and I are both over 70 and couldn't think who to call. So I went back into the store and asked for the manager. I told her what was going on and she said, "don't worry I've got you" then she called Bob. Well, with a giant smile on his face he came out to the pouring rain, and helped to hook up the jumper cables. He never complained about being wet, and said it was his pleasure to help. I have always loved shopping at fresh market, but this made my day. It could have been so much worse but the positive helping spirit of the employees made me realize why I always feel good when I shop there. A friend from Richmond Va told me about this place. I am a huge fan of Trader Joes and Whole Foods so I was a bit skeptical to try anything else when I moved to the area. With that said, I LOVE FRESH MARKET. The chicken alone is so yummy I can never have anyone else's chicken again. Right now it's $2.99/llb on Tuesdays so I'll be sure to stock up the rest of the month. Because of the chicken experience I purchased ground white meat turkey, ground need and salmon. This store may not be as large as a Whole Foods..but..they do have a clean store with a good selection of organic products. Meat and seafood counter is stocked. Desserts, especially the tiramisu, are insane ! Ready-to-eat foods are plentiful. I enjoy going to Fresh Market for lunch. read more

This place we visit every week for our groceries. The prices are more pricey than your local Kroger or Publix, but the quality is better. They stock local items that are fresh. For a family of 3 we spend roughly $110 a week for dinners. We also buy the Thursday special for $20. It can normally feed a family of 4. Changes every month. Great atmosphere and not loud either. I have so wanted to love this place but after finding 2 hairs in food (on separate occasions) and a piece of hard black plastic in a chicken panini sandwich (on another visit) I'm done. Just grateful I didn't chomp down on it and crack a tooth! Also was very disappointed to find out most of the items are not made "in house". I was thinking "fresh" to mean the food was made in house but instead it is via distribution (very different "fresh"). I still love the "presentation" of the store and would purchase other items just not those from the salad bar or "deli" or bakery. One day I pointed out to the bakery clerk that I saw a mold like looking substance on a fruit tart (yuk!). She graciously removed it from the display case and I decided against purchasing one. read more

We go there mainly for protein - beef, chicken and fish - and we have yet to be disappointed. Their prices are not cheap, but they are competitive with the local butcher shops as is their quality. It's a great store that you will enjoy shopping in. read more

Hydrogenated Oil (i.e. trans fat) is in much of the food here. This means the food is not all "Fresh" at all. If you really want quality food, I'd suggest Whole Foods which is honestly fresh. This place is a sham and an expensive one at that. Check it's ingredients! read more

I'm a bargain hunter. I'm a senior citizen, involuntarily semiretired, obsessed with the thrill of the hunt. I read ads, coupons, flyers, handouts, the Internet, whatever, looking for BOGO, 50% off, and clearance. But, I want value too. Skanky seafood for cheap is not a bargain, it's a health hazard at worst, and a waste of time at the least. Fresh Market, at this location, is a valuable alternative to me for Kroger and Publix. I can count on a dozen nice roses for my bride to be less than $8.00. I can pick out my own baby spinach leaves instead of buying a baggie. TFM's prepared food section is not nearly as big as Whole Foods', but the prices are way better for the same quality. The rotisserie chicken salad at TFM is $6.99 vs. $8.99 at WF. TFM has the biggest selection of bag your own snacks, including roasted, honey roasted and raw nuts, pretzels, trail mixes, crackers, and seeds, I have run across. Plus, you're encouraged to sample before you buy. Just help yourself to a handful of this, a pinch of that. In fact, the sampling extends to the olive bar, cheeses, coffees, and produce. The freshness of the seafood is excellent. I still have aged boneless ribeyes on my mind, which I bought on sale at $6.99/lb, and stoked my freezer with. The seven spice pound cake is epic. I live for the Japanese rice cracker mix, the beer nuts, and the TFM-made hotdogs. The employees are very polite and helpful, and the place is kept immaculate. I always end up spending more time browsing and tasting than I planned to do, but, y'know, when's the last time you wanted to do that at Kroger? read more

This is a good alternative to Whole Foods. They have a large selection of food you can buy by the pound, including pre-made dishes and nuts. They also have a huge wine selection. It may be a little pricey but you get what you paid for...freshness. read more

This Fresh Market is close to my house, and I always come here for my high-quality grocery needs. If I want something cheap, I'd go to the nearby Kroger, but when I'm craving fine chocolate or good wine, this is my place! It's set up like a European market, with a nice old-timey feeling. It's never really crowded here, and the staff are always helpful. They also have this earl grey chocolate I ADORE (I thought I could only get it in NYC, and I was so very happy happy when I found it here!) Amazing market~ read more

I love shopping here!! The produce selection is very fresh as well as the range of dairy products, juices, ice cream and gelatos and baking goods. I love to bake and they have wonderful selection of good quality chocolate, cheeses, nuts, meats. The floral dept is also wonderful. Having this place so close to home saves me a trip to the Whole Foods Market. The ambiance makes the experience more enjoyable and the staff are wonderful. Glad to have TFM in Suwanee!! read more
