I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

The dish has plenty of chorizo, cheese, and a spicy crema sauce. The sauce was not too spicey. It packed a flavor punch and set the dish apart from others I had. The eggs were cooked to order and coffee flowed like the Cuyahoga. Service was excellent and friendly. My breakfast was on par with Rowley Inn. Be sure to stop by Scratch if in Cleveland.

Cozy booth, bright space, super clean, fast delivery to my table, and plenty of cold drinks with free refills. I loved my soup and sandwich and would totally come here again! Cheers to the team that was working on last Tuesday: you work really well together and I loved the energy and humor that you bring to this space. You made me smile.

It looks clean and open, the staff was sufficiently helpful and polite, and the food was okay. It wasn't great, but not bad either. We got a soup and sandwich combo, and a soup to go. The sandwich was loaded with lettuce, which we removed, leaving very little to the sandwich. The soups were average size, just enough I guess. It was actually very tasty and hearty. We also got a smoothie, again just an average size. The final price was $37. This was not a $37 meal! Three of us ate full meals at a sit down Mexican restaurant the night before and it was only $46! It's simply a matter of rather small helpings of okay food just not being worth the price they charge. The soups are good. The prices are bad.

You can really tell they…read morecare about quality--everything is made from scratch, even the flavor syrups, and they use Rising Star beans. The menu has some standout breakfast options you don't see often around here, like loaded grits (a rare Southern find in this area). The grits were absolutely amazing--definitely my new go-to breakfast craving. The blueberry cream cheese muffin totally lived up to the hype too: moist, sweet, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the seasonal strawberry mocha. The coffee itself was smooth and well-made, though the strawberry flavor was a bit subtle. The vibe is one of the best parts--lots of seating, a mix of people working and chatting, and the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. They also host yoga twice a week (Thursdays and Sundays) and fun events like game nights, which adds to the community feel. Definitely a spot worth lingering in.

That's a great perk for those who would rather support a local coffee shop rather than a chain but prefer not to get out of the car. I decided to go inside to grab breakfast and some coffee. The interior is cozy with lots of tables for a full days work or a quick coffee meeting. There's a small food menu with some hot options and pastries, as well as a few panini's and a salad for lunch. I got the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was absolutely delicious and hot. It had lots of flavor. Although the biscuit was tasty and fresh, it was served cold and the hot gravy couldn't completely take off the chill. This was an above average gravy though and I would def return for it. They serve Rising Star coffee and I got a lumberjack breve. My drink came out piping hot, which I appreciated and the flavor was on point. I believe the lumberjack was a combination of brown sugar, cinnamon, and maple. It was perfect for a cold winter day. I couldn't resist getting a little sweet treat, so I grabbed a brown butter chocolate chunk cookie at the suggestion of a barista. Another delicious choice. Honestly everything was great here. I would definitely frequent this place if I lived closer. The service was friendly and they worked pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My only minor pit was the box that my biscuits and gravy came in. Not really suitable for a hot soupy item.
