Another delicious lunch with the best , friendliest most professional and knowledgeable bartender/server who always welcomes me with a smile and kind words ! Not too busy today but it's generally a quiet atmosphere as it is today .Food is always delicious . I had a simple grille cheese and waffle fries w/ pickle .Always has nice plate presentation, I am a regular patron because of the Bartender Sammy Cosky ! But I am glad I kept coming back because the food is always tops with its own flare ! The manager Amil is not here today but I will mention him also as he is very kind , professional, and also makes me feel comfortable as I usually am alone . Sincerely Fritz Ritter

I was told that The Friendly Toast is really good for people with allergies, so I decided to give it a try. I have celiac, so I told the host as soon as I entered, and he opened the menu to show me the gluten-free labels that are on the menu. He also said that most of the menu can be prepared, gluten-free, that I shouldn't have anything in the fryer and that they take the allergies very seriously. I sat at the bar and the server reiterated the allergy protocol, so I felt super safe. I also saw the host/manager go back to the kitchen and mention the word celiac, so they really are doing a great job. Food was good - the sausage patties were GREAT! GF toast was hard as a rock but the pancake was bomb!

We arrived at a really busy time but we were almost immediately acknowledged and seated. Every staff member we came in contact with was extremely down to earth and nice! They have an extensive breakfast/lunch menu. There were many things I'll be back to try! Our chicken sandwich may have been the best I've ever had. The perfect amount of hot honey over a Rice Krispie breading! Topped with pickled onion/pickle slaw, and an everything bagel aioli!? The flavors were out of this world! The fries were hot and salty, and only the best grillo's pickle to pair with it. My last tidbit is the environment is so unique! It's got the perfect blend of retro diner, and modern-hip vibes!

Everything was fresh and delicious! The waitress and staff were very friendly. The ambiance and decor is amazing! I will definitely be back!

After very much debate, my friends and I decided on coming here for brunch. I called ahead to see if they take reservations, but the host told me they do through the Yelp waitlist. Timing the reservation wasn't too bad as you get live updates by the minute. You can also see how far into the line you are, in case, you decide to go somewhere else, and can easily cancel. There is plenty of parking as they had their own lot surrounding the building. For drinks we ordered their Classic Bloody Mary's, Pickled Bloody Mary, apple juice, Red Eye Irish Coffee, and Dreamsicle. We were all very happy with our choices. As someone who has only had one very disappointing Bloody Mary before, I was pleasantly surprised by theirs. We shared the stuffed tots as an appetizer which came out in under 5 minutes. The crispy outside was perfect for grasping the creamy mayo it was served on top of. For entrees we got their Benny, burritos, classic breakfast, and Chicken cordon bleu Benny. All the entrees came out in a timely manner and well presented. I loved the cordon blue Benny as it was filling and delicious. But the home fries were slightly burnt and a bit mushy. As a dessert, we shared the king cakes which were banana pancakes with slices of bacon and a drizzle of peanut butter syrup. They weren't as fluffy as I prefer but the toppings were sweet and salty. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience. Our waitress Fiona was incredibly attentive especially given how busy they were on a Saturday morning. I would highly recommend others to check them out too!

My boyfriend and I came here last weekend. We had been before and this was my second time coming. I got the donut stop believing sandwich and it was amazing! Scrambled eggs and sausage with a gooey plain donut as the bread? I never thought to use a donut as the bread for a breakfast sandwich but it really works! I will definitely be back.

Love Friendly and was craving breakfast late in the day so it was the last day of school, so I dragged the kids. Our waitress was beyond patient as my younger son had never been and he was being a total pain with not wanting to eat, then he did want to eat, and she was a rockstar giving him back attitude (I told her too, LOL) This place is just like the rest of the Toasts, bright, welcoming and totally friendly - Best Vibe. Food is delish, tons or parking. After being such a dick and complaining the whole time, my son even asked me to go back the next am, so he & I snuck off for breakfast and now he's hooked and we try to go as often as we can for breakfast. Love that they opened this location because Burlington is always way too busy lately and with working from home since COVID, Im not in Cambridge so much anymore ( I work around the corner from that location) read more

It is the worst Friendly Toast I've had ever! Ordered the Hash Quesh which I had in other two locations and liked. This one is horrible. The hash bowl is mushy and the scrambled eggs in the bowl had no flavor whatsoever. Even the bacon in the scrambled eggs had no flavor either. There were six of us and only one person thought his food was ok. One has her food barely touched. The service was minimal and no spoon was provided for a coffee with milk and sugar. Try the one on Danvers not so great. Try the one in Merrimac very nice the differences and the ambience and the food. The food in Aramac is perfect the food in there it is awful. Service in both places was OK. The one in Merrimac surpassed Danvers. Classic Breakfast I guess that says it all read more

The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated & inviting. I ordered an omelet with cheese & sausage. It took a while to receive our food & it was not busy. The omelet was great, but not so with the english muffins. They were hard & edges crunchy, it's like they were toasted & then grilled! The hash browns were overly seasoned. My wife's food was the same. We'll not be back to this restaurant! read more

If you like sweet stuff this is the place for you. I am give it 4 stars. The food, service and Ambiance are great. Here's why... The food can sweet but good . Depending on what you get . The home fries are great they are perfectly seasoned. The breakfast tacos are great too and the eggs look like chicken, but I promise you it's eggs. The eggs on the avocado toast were a little bit over poached. If u want it that way then so be it . The quiche was good but there was broccoli. The breakfast tacos comes with 3 of them so you get a big portion. Some of the drinks come in a small and large. The bloody Mary's are good. The one that I liked the most was the maple bacon Bloody Mary. If you come I would recommend getting that. The Coffey is average. Still good though and they are pretty good size cups of Coffey. "The hollandaise sauce isn't really hollandaise sauce. It's more eggy then lemony." It can be fine but not really. The service is pretty good. There is most always a wait but if you get there at the right time there might not be. The staff of very nice and fun as well. The waitress we had was very fun, and she knew what she was doing. Which is always good. The ambiance is very fun. There are plenty of fun things to look at. Like paintings and statues etc. It is very colorful. The seats look like they are from a skate rink from the 80s plus the tables are fun as well . This place is kid friendly. It does have a kid menu. The bathroom is normal. It has a smaller paper towel holder for the smaller kids. But it is just plane and simple I wish there was more to it. One thing I can say it's is cold so if you come u should bring a sweatshirt just in case. So in the end 4 stars was deserved. I have been to this place multiple times and it has served me well. What can I say about this amazing brunch place that hasn't already been said! Great menu from their starters to their meals. My wife is gluten free and the options are boundless for her. The waitstaff is friendly and always accommodating. I love the loaded tots! First time seeing a Bloody Mary flight and it was fantastic! We eat here once a month always trying more options from the generous menu. If you haven't tried The Friendly Toast in Danvers or any of their many locations you owe it to yourself and your family to drop in and enjoy a great meal! read more

Everything has been wonderful! I ate at the bar two different times. Equally excellent service, and the food came out screaming hot, it was one of the bowl dishes! Excellent! And the Adult Dreamsicle on the rocks, absolutely yummy! Ambiance there is perfect to go in alone (being female) and not feel uncomfortable. Great place, service and happy atmosphere! read more

Mediocre food, poor management long wait times for food and seating even when you're on the waitlist. Joined the waitlist, arrived 10 min before the quoted time, had a party of six, was told your at number one on the list, meanwhile 3 tables called ahead of us. Asked about how much longer after waiting 10-15 min, was told at least another 20 min, was told they only have 5-6 tables that fit 6 people. After another twenty min and no signs of a table available asked if they had two next to each other and got two tables but nowhere near close enough that you felt the party was together. Just as we ordered the table right next to us opened up and I asked could the other two members sit there instead, 5 min later waiter comes back and says no the manager said the table is unavailable, the two person table sat empty through our whole meal which took forever. Ordered food took 30 min for basic items like Mac and cheese, pancakes and bacon with eggs, food arrived very mediocre, no flavor steak Mac and cheese had no seasoning super bland, corned beef hash was grainy and oily. Top it off the waiter never came to refill coffee or check on the table. read more

What makes the toast at Friendly Toast so friendly? Its confidence in the eclectic, creative menu and the cordial service. A very good lunch today. I had the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese and it was delicious. A perfect balance of Rice Krispie coated chicken, blue cheese, American cheese, VT cheddar cheese, pickled onions, and Buffalo sauce. Just now realizing I didn't get my Grillo's pickle! Had the sandwich not looked so good when it arrived, I probably would have noticed. read more

I will always love the Friendly Toast, particularly the Portsmouth location. But this location also satisfies in nearly every way: an exciting menu that is strong in the brunch department, cool glittery seats, badass looking tattooed servers, vintage decor. I look at other reviews and seems folks love this place. Well I'm going rogue and saying I will not return. I ordered two eggs over easy, bacon, toast and home fries. Really quite common right...We'll when I need a knife to eat my eggs (overcooked), the bacon was hard as a rock, the home fries were swimming in oil but the toast was good. First time trying The Friendly Toast and it was better than we expected. Our waitress Kailyn was wonderful and friendly. My husband had the chicken and waffles and he said they were good and you can tell the waffle was homemade. I had the avocado toast was tasty. We went to the FT on a Sunday. For very busy days make sure you get on the online waitlist through the Yelp app. Type the restaurant name on Yelp search and then click on the restaurant site. We shopped at the mall while waiting for about 45 minutes. As for the food, I ordered a mocktail and I thought the mug glass was small for $7.50. I like the breakfasts here and I was going to order a breakfast type, but I decided to go with the Bulgogi steak and cheese sandwich. The steak poetion was skippy, and mostly gristle and the sourdough bread overpowered the meat. Fries served cold in a small metal cup. This menu item is way overpriced ($19) for what you get. For $10 I could have got a good size steak and cheese sub next door at Kelly's. Top mgt needs to take a good look at the food value offered to the consumer. My spouse ordered a generic hamburger with the small cup of fries for $14. It was good but still pricey. My advice- stick to the breakfast menu choices. read more

Recently discovered this place and now can say I have both dined in and ordered take out. Can proudly say their Vegan breakfast burrito is hands down delicious. I've probably had it like 5 times now. Great proportion of food and doesn't hurt the wallet. Love how they have online wait times for dining in, so you can always plan accordingly. read more

You have to be there before 8:45 in order to not have a long wait. But even if you have to wait the food is very much worth it. I recommend "the captain" appetizer. Amazing! read more

We had brought friends with us for the first time, and unfortunately this experience left a bad impression and ruined the visit. Just plain Rude!
