Visited during homecoming. The wait to be seated was not long after arriving right at opening. Took a while for a waitress to visit our table and the one who did was not the most pleasant. Food took long to where we had to ask about our food, and items that were asked to be cooked different were not. The waffles were hard as a hockey puck and they were asked to be cooked to be softer when ordering. Well when we ask for our checks to pay, the guy that is at the front offered to take the waffles off the bill since they were remade twice and still not touched, the waitress (I would say the main lady there) got upset because the waffles were being taken off so she stormed off and passed the card machine to another waitress to finish paying. There seemed to be a private event going on upstairs at the time when we visited, so very loud to the point we had to either lean on close or yell to hear each other. Still we enjoyed the ambiance and the DJ was playing some good stuff! The staff was all upbeat and some even danced along to the music as they served. There were a lot of options on the menu to level-up the menu items. For example, there were different types of waffles (regular, red velvet, etc.) or chicken breasts vs wings for the chicken and waffles selection. With the mimosas there was a choice between liquor or regular. When ordering, they do require you to place the order for everything at once (apps, drinks, entress). It did take a long time for the items to be served. All of the menu items looked appealing so we had a hard time deciding. The server seemed very enthusiastic to explain everything in detail. Got there as soon as they open and they tell us reservations only. No where does it state reservations only. No Problem as we wait till they open we make our reservation. We order... they tell us the food will be 1hr 30min to 2hr wait because everything is made to order I guess we lucked out because it came out sooner than expected thankfully. Ambiance was alright other than hearing people trying to open the wrong door because the sign is on the wrong door. The sign is not the entrance. The door with nothing on it should say enter here. So everyone coming is tugging at the wrong door and everyone inside can see you and hear you tugging. Easy fix if you just add a sign but annoying to see and hear. Server asks if you want syrup it doesn't come with your meal. We kindly asked for ketchup and he comes back and says we only have packets. That's fine sir thank you I'll take what you have. All that food with an orange juice that didn't taste right for over $50. Have to catch them early on the weekends to beat the rush. I always get the croissants and a coffee flight. The flight temperatures aren't always great but the flavor is! Just left this restaurant and let me start off by saying I had extremely high expectations for this business and I was very excited to try it. Arrived for my 11:30 reservation a couple minutes before just to take some pictures. The host from today (the young man) was very rude. After I addressed him and had a small convo with him he was very apologetic but with him being the host it kinda sets the tone for the entire experience. The food was good. I ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer, the taste of truffle was almost non existent. I give the truffle fries 5/10 I was excited to try the Cotton candy Mimosa but I'm 100% sure the bartender forgot the Prosecco and I received just orange juice. This place is very cute. Nice aesthetic and maybe has great potential. I'd heard about this place from friends; one liked it and the other found it underwhelming. For me, I'm leaning toward the latter. While it wasn't particularly remarkable, I'll start with the service. The entry is a little bit confusing, as far as doors and the staff don't really direct people when they walk into the door that goes directly to the table versus the host stand. The waitress we had did her job but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. They did come and ask us if we wanted a box while the person I was with was still eating, which I thought was odd. (I'd already put my napkin in my plate so it was clear I didn't want a box). They also bring a device to pay which did not give me a chance to assess my charges for accuracy and I selected receipt which was not brought to me. Now to the food. As an appetizer we had the croissants, which were nice and warm. However the honey butter was minimally drizzled on there and in fact actually wasn't that appeasing. I can't say I think they were worth $7. The other person with me had chicken and waffles; she enjoyed the waffles. When the chicken arrived we both thought they were over cooked, which they in fact were. Just looking at how dark they were I was shocked the kitchen would send them out that way. I had the shrimp and grits. They were not bad but not great. The sauce was okay but I was not a fan of the ground sausage (it was big enough to avoid). I did like the seasoning on the shrimp but they resembled frozen grocery store shrimp. However, things started to take a turn soon after we were seated. it took about ten or so minutes for a hot cup of coffee. We thought was a little weird but No problem, we can sit and chat for a bit. We started with Deep Fried Deviled Egg with a choice of bacon, shrimp, or salmon. We opted for shrimp but I'm sure bacon and salmon would be great as well. Honey butter croissants that were the perfect balance of flakiness with a hint of sweetness but not overpowering. I couldn't decide on what to drink so I'm glad there was a flight option. Each one was good and if it wasn't 10am I'd probably would've gotten another flight. Per Dee's recommendation I went with the shrimp and grits....perfection. The grits were cooked perfect and as weee the shrimp the andouille cream sauce and sausage is something I will remember. The staff check on us but not in a pushy way and gave us a sneak peak at their dinner menu. Given the great food, music, and chill vibe we might have to come back to see for ourselves. Tips: 1. If I could give zero stars I most certainly would. While waiting to be seated I experienced a drink being splashed on me from a waitress spilling a tray of drinks. My party and I had a reservation for 2:30 and was not seated until almost 3:30. I had to ask the assistant manager for water which was a struggle. Our waitress Tia was sweet, she gave us heads up that our food would be over one hour late because of a larger party ordered before us. I asked to speak to the manager/owner who had very poor customer service. I explained to her our experience and she seemed shocked, although she and the 8 staff members were cleaning up the spill(). The wait to get in has always been longer than desired (an hour - an hour and a half) but it has always taken less time than we were told (forty-five minutes). On our way to MD from Myrtle Beach we decided to stop in Fayetteville to eat. I searched Tik Tok and came across this restaurant. First impression is that the place was packed. We were seated immediately and our server "cute girl with locks who grew up on a farm" greeted us. My Hubbs ordered coffee - it was warm but he didn't say anything, I ordered ice tea. It was good but not cold at all, seems like they use ice sparingly. As an appetizer we ordered the hot honey chicken, it was delish. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It arrived with the shrimp and grits, sauce on the side and no sausage. When I mentioned the sausage, I received it in the gravy separately. I was fine because my food was hot and good..... now my husband ordered the fish and two sided - candied yams, and cinnamon crunch waffles. We waited a bit, my food came out first, that was fine, but after all of the wait and my husband came out with chicken wings and NOT fish. Our server recognized it and asked if we wanted fish.... We didn't want to wait so we said no. The cinnamon crunch waffles was cereal on top of the waffles (smh). My Hubbs ate one wing, the yams and 2 of the 3 little waffles. Our server asked us if everything was good and I said my food was, but my husband didn't get what he wanted. Our server was amazing. She worked as if she were part owner. The manager should have visited our table and took the entire entree off of our bill or at least half. Our server took off $6.50. There was a table across from us with about 6 younger men and women. While waiting for our waitress, an argument between a young lady and a man started from the table across from us. I immediately suggested to my wife, "Let's go." She wanted to stay since one young lady was escorted downstairs. Within a minute, the young lady walked back upstairs and waitresses had to step in to prevent a fight from starting. At that time, I decided to leave and my wife followed.
