I wanted to surprize my wife for her birthday by creating a shadowbox or picture frame with the record album she made with her friends in high school. I didn't know what I wanted until I brought the original album to Frugal Framer in Stuart. They worked with me until we came up with what you see below. The glass is UV non glare, frame flat black. Can be mounted on a wall or on an easel. On the reverse side of the frame is the artwork that was on the reverse side of the album. I also had to have the album sides photographed to provide the pictures by PhotoGraphics and CDs and thumb drives cut by Treasure Coast Multimedia in Stuart. Had a print shipped from Connecticut. This print is going to be framed and given as a gift. I called prior to its arrival and spoke to Joe. He stated it takes about a week to customize with matting and frame. We received the print at 4pm. We arrived at Frugal Framer at 4:30 pm. Joe showed us a ton of mats frames and glass. His knowledge and opinions were very much appreciated. Called us an hour after our initial visit. Work was completed. Final product came out better than expected. Highly recommend Frugal Framer. I did NOT recommend this place AT ALL. I brought in a picture to be framed and was quoted a price of $360.00. It was a 30' X 40'. I thought that was a tad high so I decided to look around. I went to The Friendly Framer in Stuart and picked out an even better frame and was quoted $210.00!!!! Seriously, I knew Frugal Framer was high but was unaware they are a ripoff. Plus, the customer service here is lacking. What a difference in price. read more
