The decadent chocolate fudge was sweetly delicious but it cost almost ten dollars a slice. It is a nice treat to have once in a while. They also had other chocolate dipped item made in house and other packaged chocolate and candy offerings also. Service was provided with a smile and friendly staff that were eager to help. It felt like a smallish section candy store with a. huge section where you can see them make the fudge in house. It is interesting to see it made. If you like fudge as much as I do, And you are in Canada by Niagara Falls then The fudge Factory is a must stop. The store is great and they make the fudge right on premises. They had many different to choose from so that was the hardest decision. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The staff is amazing here and offer up free samples to try of any of the fudges. I tried about 5 before I decided I got a rich double dark chocolate fudge. The fudge was delicious and I only wish I bought more. The best thing about this place is the smell. When walking by you can't help but feel invited by the wonderful smell of homemade fudge. Unfortunately, the candy only smells good... We purchased two gummy suckers for our kiddos who thoroughly enjoyed them but nothing special. The variety in the store was very limited and small but still interesting enough. They offered fudge of course, a variety of chocolates and chocolate covered pretzels and macaroons. I am a HUGE macaroon fan. They had so many different kinds as well that we couldn't help but get 4 for $10. We got a birthday cake, pink champagne, bubble gum and cotton candy. These were the worst macaroons I have ever had in my life. They were not light and airy but hard and crunchy like a stale McDonald's french fry that's been left at the bottom of the bag for a week. Willy Wonka has got nothing over "The Fudge Factory!" Sorry Will, the kids line up for this store and you don't need a golden ticket to get in. Walking to Niagara Falls we stumbled upon this gem. The ten year old in me was excited about all the selection in home made chocolate's. They had bricks that they melted down in the store and made chocolate treats. The adult that I am appreciated the fact they let you sample before you buy items. Your able to decide if it's worth the price before you buy. Although I'm giving the exact same rating as my previous review - I had to make some changes! If you're in Niagara Falls, this place is a must, especially if you have a sweet tooth! It's literally like heaven in here. I always want to get 90% of the items in here! My favourites would include the nanaimo bar (I like a few different flavours that they have), the pecan tarts, and the brownies (I also like a few different flavours that they have). Although they have many items to choose from, these three are definitely my go-to. The fudge here is pretty good as well, however, I feel like for me, fudge in general is way too sweet! This place may have a hint of "racism" in their ranks. They were very eager to assist and help the "lighter" skin toned folks in front of us in line, but refused to even acknowledge us when it was our turn. We asked them if they were working and they said they were just refilling stuff. 3 staff standing around and talking while ignoring customers at your counter doesn't look like work to me. The fudge factory is definitely a must see when travelling to Niagara Falls. My kids enjoyed coming here as there is much to see. They do offer a wide range of different fudges which is interesting to try. I would have to say there candy and cotton candy is top shelf in the taste department. This is no Bulk Barn.. You can really tell they change the candy often to ensure freshness. Definitely a must see. Only one con is that they need to fix some of those machines on the candy wall because when my kids wanted certain gummy candy it would not come out and seemed to be stuck but there was enough to choose from that they didn't get left out.. I loved how you can watch them make the fudge from scratch. I tried the Rock Slide brownie with caramel drizzled on top ...it was just ok. I wish we had a option to warm it up a little. There was a cute area on the left side where they fudge was actually being made (which is nice to see that its fresh made) but then most of the store was filled with a lot of taffy, maple flavored everything and other candies. Then once you get to the register there is the option of about 15 or so flavors of fudge. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO AWFUL!!! We had a choking incident the other day with my 16 month old in the middle of their shop. He was blue and lifeless, I had to flip him and do back thrusts while I was yelling for help. He vomited a bit, so I thought he was okay but he was still not breathing and still completely blue. At this point, I was totally freaking out and yelling that he was choking and we needed help right now. Not one single employee (there were 5-6 of them) offered any help. I continued to smack his back and he finally vomited and started screaming, so I knew he was able to breathe again. I stood there and gathered myself, we were both crying at this point - still nothing from the employees other than stares. I asked if they had a mop so I could clean up, and I was met with "UGH" and an eye roll as one of the older female employees walked to the back. Not one of them asked if were okay afterwards, they didn't ask if we needed anything, they literally just stared at us until we finally left. After they had just witnessed the whole ordeal, you'd think there would some kind of compassion, anything - but nothing. I will never, ever go back and I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Their fudge might be good, but their customer service, especially in an emergency situation, was disgusting!!! read more

What a tourist / children trap! You walk by this extremely colorful shop with it's wide open doors, stacks and stacks of candy and chocolate and there is nothing you can do to stop yourself from going in. And once you are in - you are hooked! You will not be able to leave without out making some type of purchase. My bf and I ended up getting the waffle cone rolled in caramel and dipped in chocolate. AMAZING! If I could go back right now and get one I would! We also got some type of brownie (his pick not mine) that I didn't really like. There was a layer of buttercream inside and I am not a buttercream fan. Lastly we had the candy apple chips. They are basically the outside hard candy of an candy apple without the apple. I really liked this place. I liked that the sales associate/ cashier offered me samples of the fudge so that I could choose carefully which product I wanted. I actually bought a few things: mint chocolate fudge, chocolate fudge with nuts, I liked the fudge with nuts the most. The fudge was good, the texture was a cross between hard butter and a soft brownie. I bought something called a nanaimo bar which is a dessert bar layered crushed graham crackers with coconut cream and chocolate chips on top, this was my favorite. The sales associate suggested a Canadian milk chocolate candy bar with maple cream (it taste okay). I also purchased a tube of salt water taffy as a gift. The sales associate was very good, she helped me spend my Canadian dollars lol. The only reason I took away a star was because I expected more of a variety of sweets that I haven't seen before.
