I was driving by when John said- look, a Chocolate Factory! Errrrrr, tires skidded a bit as I turned in at the next right and looped back to the building. John- we're all going to die! Me- yup, but not today! I happily went inside and the lady working was just extra sweet, and gave us plenty of info and samples to try. Best way to start out a Sunday morning exploring- with chocolate! Raspberry was delicious, lavender was mild- not over powering at all, but the mint! That one went home! I snagged a bag of mint for my son- his favorite flavor and one of mine. I was tempted to grab a pina coloda bag and one of their bars- they came with such fun, srtistic wrappers! Needless to say, John enjoyed all of them and my son has already finished the entire bag!!! Stop in, enjoy a tour, try some chocolate and shop local!

I love chocolate so I was looking forward to visiting. But I was disappointed. I went with a friend who had been here under the previous management. They used to give lots of samples so you could try different chocolate covered products. We had to beg to get one sample. It's possible to spend $13 or $14 for a 300-gram package only to discover the one you chose is not to your liking. I found the chocolate covered blueberries too sweet since they are covered in white chocolate dyed blue. We were told if we wanted samples, we should have booked a tour ($20 for two people). But, my friend has done the tour and was underwhelmed. The two women working there were friendly but not very good at customer service. One was talking to us, another was stocking shelves and both ignored the person waiting to pay at the cash register. The shop looks very nice and clean. There are many different chocolates to choose from. Although they were all overpriced, at least they are made on site. There's plenty of parking.

There's no shortage of coupons, discounts and promotions for the Chocolate Fx factory. The hotel that we stayed at gave us some vouchers so we thought we would definitely check it out. The location it self is located in a nice part of Niagara on the Lake. Upon walking in there's an overwhelming scent of rich chocolate and amounts of chocolate wall to wall. We checked in and were advised that we can hang tight and enjoy all the samples that lined the wall. You can name it and it was pretty much covered in chocolate. Juju bees, covered in chocolate. Almonds, covered in chocolate. Pretzels, covered in chocolate. Cherries, covered in chocolate. You get the point, they like to cover everything in chocolate. I was at the middle point of the sample wall when our group was called over to start the tour. The tour it self is short and sweet, Not only is the staff extremely nice but they are informative. At the end of the tour you get a premium chocolate sample and welcome to make any additional purchases.

We had a groupon for a hotel in Niagara Falls so we made a weekend out of it. At the hotel we received a bunch of coupons and a free tour of Chocolate FX was one of them. Sounded like a fun thing to do so off we went on our way to Niagara On The Lake. The shop is small and cozy. They have a sample jar of each candy on their shelf! Just pour one out of the opening and wahlah! Great way to taste test and see what you like! There's a huge variety (everything chocolate): pretzels, almonds, cherries, yogurt covered peanuts, raisins... chocolate bars, etc. They even have a... "naughty" collection for brides, etc! The owner is Wilma and this woman has an awesome sense of humor! She even writes her own greeting cards! Some nice.. some twisted lol! The tour itself was short and sweet. There's one "hallway" they take you down to see. They tell you their story, the history of the cocoa bean, etc. It was very interesting! You also see the molding room, packing rooms, etc. through glass windows. After the tour you get a free chocolate covered strawberry, or other chocolate treat. The strawberry was amazing... I could have eaten 2 more! We did end up buying pb cups (with natural peanut butter... nothing like Reese's - better!), ice wine chocolate and more. Definitely make this a stop! You won't be sorry!

It may not be much to look at from the outside, but this chocolate place has some decent offerings. I went as part of a wine tour with a large group so they were prepared with unlimited samples. The ladies that work here are sweet like their products; I really liked the chocolate covered pretzels the most. I've been to many chocolatiers and this one is kind of basic/low frills but the prices are high. can't say Id go out of my way to return but not a bad place to check out if youre nearby

Huge clean chocolate factory offering short tours on how chocolate is made and packaged. Free samples and lots of goodies to buy in the store. Friendly and helpful staff, lots of free parking and washrooms inside.

This is a very short tour. You look at how they make the chocolate through a glass window. You are able to sample a couple of chocolates and the tour is free. If you are a really big chocolate lover I say go if not I say skip it and do something else. It seems ok if it's part of a wine tour, but not something to by itself. We assumed it would be different.

When it was 1 p.m., a staff member led everyone on a 30-minute tour of the factory. We didn't actually go inside the factory. First, the lady did a short lesson on where their chocolates came from including showing photos of the cocoa beans and a big block of raw chocolate as a sample. There were a lot of people in this tour including lots of kids (it's a great tour for kids to learn about chocolate and to see it being made). We looked through the glass to see how the chocolates went from being dunked to achieving more layers of chocolate to the packaging and labelling area. On that day that we were there, they were preparing chocolate-covered jujubes. After the tour, we each received one chocolate covered strawberry or ice wine truffle. I chose the former choice. It was a really sweet touch (pun intended) to end the tour with this treat. They also had samples for chocolate covered goji berries, yogurt covered chocolates, and more from a small self serve vending machine. If you wanted to try other chocolates that they were selling, all you had to do was ask for it. (Free parking onsite.)

Old location at the factory was better. Because you could get a tour. The new place I'd more s gift shop. 100g milk chocolate bar $14.99.

In the boxes there's a deal if you get 3. So we got the cranberry white chocolate, the cashew cluster & almond bark. I really like the cashew cluster. Pretty addictive. We also got the smores, a Tommy (pecan with caramel, like Turtles but much better tasting), a polar bear, & a Timmy (dark chocolate with caramel). The smores was so yummy! I liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Sometimes with junk food chocolate all you can taste is the sugar. This is good stuff. We like it so much my hubby called & asked if they would ship to us. Turns out they used to be a franchise but the owner closed the other franchises down. I don't know why! The prices here are reasonable too. I like Soma chocolate which is really good but it's so expensive. If their shipping charge isn't ridiculous I don't mind supporting this store. My mouth is watering just thinking of the smores. The clerk who was helping fill the orders & cash people out was super nice too. They are open pretty late for a fudge/chocolate place. But I guess that's because of the casino.
