Brought my kids in to make bracelets on our way home from breakfast. Came in the next day because I brought in some beads of my own that I picked up on my road trip. I was unsure how to put it all together in the vision I had, but the owner was quick to help me put it all together in a way I loved! If I lived here I'd be here everyday.

The one employee (didn't get name) was very patient with the nonverbal adult I was with. The next time I was with that same adult, plus another who was very into the experience and wanted a special bracelet for her doll, which meant the owner (Cheyenne) had to figure out the sizing of the string. She was very patient and helpful. I had also explained that the other individual didn't have activity money from our agency because she'd used it all up, so could she just have a box of "old beads from the back" that she could tinker with. Cheyenne took it upon herself to offer her two bracelets on the house. I'll be taking all future individuals to this bead store! The bead selection is overwhelmingly extensive. You'll find what you're looking for.

I love souvenir shops, gift shops, and everything in between. That is how I found The Spark. I was a little apprehensive when I first walked in because I didn't want my kids to break anything. It's not that they're occasionally bulls in a china shop, but they are occasionally bulls in a china shop. They were particularly well behaved this time so nothing was damaged. The items for sale here are more towards the high end decorative type items. There were several dude oriented items that I liked, including several clocks made from old airplane gauges. I kind of regret not buying one. I did end up getting a Colorado themed Christmas Ornament which is pretty cool. If you are in downtown Colorado Springs and want high end decor, I encourage you to visit The Spark.

Cool backpacks, winter hats, books, signs and decor items. It was easy to find things for your home in here. He loved the old typewriters. I was very tempted to buy one. And my girlfriend found lots of interesting jewelry. Mary was friendly and we chatted as we looked around. There was an issue with the point of sale system but they had us pay at the connecting store so no issues. Come check out The Spark when you're out and about.

Plan on spending plenty of time here as they have an abundance of products to browse. I was hesitant to make a trip down to The Springs today but so glad I decided to! This has become my favorite Tibetan store. There is one on Pearl Street in Boulder that comes in a close second to this one. A very nice lady behind the counter immediately greeted me as I entered the store. I smelled a pleasant scenery of incense that was burning or finished burning up. This lady was also very helpful in showing me several wrist mala bracelets. She also took the time to explain the metaphysical energies of each one I looked at. I was hooked on two of them and ended up purchasing both of them. There was a third one I looked at but had to pass. Next time! She wasn't pushy with a potential sale of the third one and I really liked that about her. I also inquired about meditation cushions. I'm in need of a new one with better material. I struck gold here! They had a nice shelf with newly imported meditation cushions from Nepal. I was immediately drawn to one of the maroon cushions with the "Om" symbol on it. It's beautifully woven onto the top of the cushion with red and yellow stitching. It's very comfortable as well. The lady who helped me with the wrist mala bracelets encouraged me to try out the cushions by sitting on them. The one I'm referring to is very comfortable to sit on. It's stuffed with cotton and made in Nepal. I was hedging on buying it and chose to browse around the store more. I was offered ten percent off the cushion as well. I purchased it and was very satisfied as I carried it out of the store. So, this female staff member I referred to here is the co-owner. She and her husband have owned the store since 2007. I liked that she didn't brag about this and only offered it because I asked. She was very easy to talk to and accommodating. Also, she thanked me profusely for my purchases. Her gratitude was so sincere as well. One thing she said that I completely agree with is, your purchase at this store helps support a local business. I can only imagine how they were affected with the covid shutdown. It's also my understanding that they import products from Nepal on a consistent basis. I will definitely return here again, most likely to purchase the "third mala" I eyeballed earlier. If you like Tibetan culture, jewelry, and other products from their culture, I strongly encourage you to check them out. Again, your purchase(s) helps support a local business! I feel it's worth the trip if you live in the Denver area. There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants nearby. The Tibetan Arts & Crafts store is situated in downtown "Colorado City." The trip alone to visit this historic city is worth it! I will definitely return here again soon and spend more time, most likely an afternoon. I recommend visiting the Tibetan Arts & Crafts store then grabbing lunch or dinner at a nearby place. There are plenty of choices here! I hope your visit becomes a pleasant experience like mine was. Today was a perfect bookend to a good weekend! Looking forward to visiting again soon!
