I picked up some reusable paper towels as a Christmas gift and then could not resist a whole series of snowman cards, prints and an accompanying book from a local artist. This is also a working space so you may get to catch someone painting while you're here. Start at the coffee shop downstairs if you're coming in the morning, or end at the bar for a craft beer if it's afternoon. Highly recommend this space for shopping or taking a break between visits to local wineries!

Centrally located downtown next to the 3rd Street Market Hall on Wisconsin Avenue, it's worth a walkthrough at the very least if you're in the area. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the rotating exhibits are done by students, faculty, staff and even alumni of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. I visited when the After-Hours exhibit was on display, and I really enjoyed it. I was warmly greeted the moment I walked in and was left to enjoy the art to my hearts content. The art on display was thought-provoking and included a variety of artistic mediums. I especially enjoyed the hand-crafted goods available for purchase like homemade fishing lures ($50) and pendants with Wisco flare. Prices are on the higher end but keep in mind these are made by artists/hand-crafted. High quality and one of a kind! You can also purchase some of the work on display in case you fall in love with a piece and want to enjoy it forever. Great spot to enjoy a bit of Milwaukee's artistic side and celebrate local talent in an easy way!

I was told by the shop person there that making something mandatory didn't make it legal or enforceable. I spend a lot of time with my 76 year old cousin who relies on an internal heart pump to remain alive. If he were to get COVID it would be a death sentence, so I am very careful and concerned. The shop person seemed to care more about being personally, ideologically correct than morally correct, and certainly didn't care about his customer's concerns about related health issues, nor did he offer to wear a mask to make me, a customer, feel more comfortable. I took my business elsewhere. (Gallery 1 where everyone was required to wear a mask) They got my $136.00 in business.
