We are wizened (old) players of MTG that hadn't really played since the late 90s, so we sometimes feel silly going to card shops looking to snag things. This place didn't make us feel weird or awkward. They're very kind and are happy to help you with questions about the game or cards you're looking for. I was highly impressed with the variety of boosters they had, and their case had some incredible singles (sadly I'll never afford most). The only thing I missed is being able to comb through singles myself. Here they have them in the back and you need to know ahead of time what you're looking for. This store is kind of an unsung hero for me, it advertises having warhammer stuff a little bit, but they have so much more if you are more into the painting and building side of the hobby. First off, they have an insane amount of actual kits themselves, with a HUGE selection of kill teams and many of the newer battleforce boxes. More importantly though, they stock the traditional Citadel and Army Painter, but to my surprise, They also carry multiple waves of Dunchan Rhodes Two thin coats, and Vallejo Model, express, and game color. These brands are pretty difficult to find here in Nashvillle or the surrounding area, so seeing them here is a welcome surprise to someone like me who is big into the painting hobby and Two thin coats is my personal favorite paint brand, SO I felt I needed to write up a review to let people know for future reference. read more

For some reason this store wants to be unique in how they do things, like buying a ticket in advance for event, no other store does this and it's pretty shady, example; One Piece store championship, it is a first come first serve event, the biggest event a store can host, I went from successful to waitlisted and checked the "tickets" again, still no ticket for the championship which is in two days, their refund policy on these tickets is aimed to make a buck off you if for some reason you can't attend due to car issues or something that day, some have kids and have to plan in advance for these events as some of us drive hours to get to these, bandai has been notified and hopefully a better store will get this event the next time, this is insanely shady and scummy read more

Just started collecting again recently and stopped into this very cool little shop for the first time today. Two very helpful and nice young men were working the counter and helped me find what I needed. They have a great selection of singles and packs for several TCGs. Recently found myself getting more into board games and through this, I discovered The Game Cave! They are located on the bottom level, in the breezeway of the plaza on Old Lebanon Road that also features the Strike and Spare Fun Center and a few other locally sourced shops. They place is not big, but it is big enough for what they have going on. I popped in to scope board games, and while they don't have a large supply of them, they definitely have a solid selection...including Blood on the Clocktower, which I cannot believe we found, and purchased! In addition to the board games, they have other game varieties and supplies plus a few tables for live action game play. Service was solid as the cashier was friendly and chatted us up about the game while also recommending other games that may be of interest. Overall, great visit to this little shop. read more

I went to game cave yesterday to purchase some pokemon cards and during this experience the cashier double charged me for an item even though the policy is one a day and then open one of my items that I asked to remain sealed. After that she gave me incorrect change. I noticed the double charge later on and they offered me store credit but when I went in today they told me I was purchasing too many cards. I told them I was only there today because of their mistake and that I only have a limited time to buy as im looking for a certain card. Then the owner gave me cash back for my credit and told me to have a nice day. I then said so you can just change the rules everyday and he replied "Im the owner". I recommend anyone looking for good deals on cards along with professionalism go down the street to NashCard. read more

Stumbled upon The Game Cave recently and already looking forward to going back. Their board game and card game selection was diverse with mostly recent games in stock. Lots of Magic and Pokémon cards with an tablet that allows you to search by character and will show every card of that character in stock. Miniature paints on hand but very little miniatures for sale. Nice, clean, spacious store and friendly staff. read more

My wife and I were visiting from CA, so we had to visit. They were pretty well-stocked with minis, so I bought a few to paint when we flew home. They seemed well-stocked with books and other board games. I am glad we stopped in. read more

The place is well kept and nice looking, but if you're looking for D&D minis, dice, or terrain there is hardly a selection. I was rather disappointed with their lack of stock. Would not go back for D&D products. read more

Super cool location for a shop, and right across from a bowling alley! They were having a Legacy Magic tournament when we arrived and everyone seemed very nice, especially the shopkeep. Definitely recommend a look if you're interested in Magic: the Gathering, board games or Warhammer. read more

Stopped in to check out the local gaming scene on a business trip and these guys were great. Staff were eager to help and friendly, but not pushy. I think their new location is not reflective of the existing photos. Very nice and clean shop. Seems to cater a bit more to MTG, but had some good mini supplies, DnD, and some smaller board game shelves. read more

I loved going into this store. The guys behind the counter were incredibly nice and helpful. They explained a little bit about D&D 5th ed for a newbie and their prices are fair. They recommended some great board games and took the time to explain the pros and cons of the games they've played and recommended. Well-lit and smelled pleasant. These guys were very helpful in helping me find a couple of games. I had no idea what any of the games in the store were but the guy with tattoos at the register took me around the whole store and suggested some fun games for me.
