Lots of great games to play here! They keep a list of arcade games on their website and the Pinball Map is always up to date on what pins are out. A lot of the games are older (and well loved) so they may have issues here and there but the staff does a great job keeping these older games up and running majority of the time and they're all on free play too. Pay to get in and that's it. They have a small snack bar for food/drinks but you can also bring your own in, adult beverages included. It's a fun way to waste an afternoon and their monthly memberships are split with The Woodlands location so it's a good value if you can go to both. read more

Oh yeah this place is rad step back into the 80s with these awesome retro games that will make you happy as pac man eating ghosts . This place has alot of pinball machines and regular old school arcade machines the ones that your parents grew up with . But the price to get a day pass is $15 with alot of free games to play with but your only want to go here for a hour because there isn't alot of variety and ya kinda get bored easily . Who doesn't love a retro arcade! The game preserve is a HUGE retro arcade with a pay one price system and a ton of retro video games and pinball machines from the last 30+ years. I love that it's a big space so you have plenty of room between you and other players. They also have a good selection of candy, light snacks and drinks. The maintenance of the machines isn't great, with quite a few I tried not working properly, bad joysticks, etc. That being said, it's SUCH a large selection that it doesn't matter that much. read more

Customers can get lost for hours playing the Iron Maiden and Miss Pacman ones. Throw in some classic rock or New Wave piping from a jukebox -- that's right, a jukebox -- somewhere near the stage area in the back of the venue and you'll feel like you're in 1989 all over again. If you're truly digging the place like I do, feel free to get a membership. A minimum of $15 grants you unlimited access all day. I believe I found a very likely getaway from reality. Super cool spot. Read a lot of negative reviews and yes some of the games were not working and part of the place was closed down but there were still so many games to chose from and we had a blast. It's BYOB and we brought a small cooler with beer and snacks and it was a great little date idea. We love pinball and there were so many machines to chose from. We will be back! read more

A bunch of buddies, my wife, and their wives made plans to head out here. Well worth it. A really good time. Unlimited play for $15 a piece. I called before to check on the food situation. They told me they sell ice cream and candy apparently, the place is also bring your own food and or bring your own beer friendly. Lots Of games. The full list is available on their website. Also tons of cool pinball machines. Some highlights for those in the know would be Street Fighter 2 champion edition, Ms. Pac-Man, Deadpool Pinball machine. It was a nice place, but it was missing something. Games like are nostalgic for people in their late 30s and up, but younger kids have a more difficult time staying interested. If they had fountain drinks, someway of keeping track of high scores and then a reward system for someone getting first place, or some other types of games like the basketball one, pool tables, etc. That would help keep up peoples interest. I took my two teenage boys in for an hour so the person there was flexible with pricing which is normally $15/person. I don't think I would personally spend $15 to spend a considerable amount of time there unless you had someone with you that wanted to play a game from your past for quite sometime. Again...teenagers don't get as excited as people That grew up in the 80s and 90s. read more

Wow. So disappointed. Let's start with the pros: very cool interior, great customer service, BYOB. Need I say more? Normally no. Usually this warrants 3+ stars automatically. But the cons were overwhelming. I've been to something kinda familiar downtown called Joystix which is incredible. Attached to Joystix is a full legit Bar, premium arcades, endless fun. I went into the game preserve with the same mindset but with the bonus of BYOB and also the fact it was much closer to home. Cons: Do you love Galaga? Or how about NBA Jam? Me too! Don't expect to find them though. Look for their knock-off versions instead. Also expect to see several arcades not actually function properly or that have inoperable buttons. The amount of arcades to select from was very small in my opinion. Within 30 minutes my friends and I ran out of things to do. Three pinball machines we played locked up. There is also a a very interesting Arcade Graveyard in the back. It has a better selection of arcades in there. Too bad none of them worked :(. Save your money and hit up Joystix when you can. read more

The family unit and I decided to spend a Sunday afternoon here. When you walk in, you are not really sure where you are going ... it's literally a long hallway before reaching the games. Once in, we were greeted by the 2 friendly employees. For $15, you get unlimited games that are on "free mode". They have a lot of games, some of which took me back to my early teenage days hanging out at the arcade at the mall (yes, that was a thing back in the early to mid-80's) and pinball machines! I was excited to play my old favorites, Pac Man & Miss Pac Man, LOL ... and found myself way better at them than I use to be. However, I was not a happy camper when Donkey Kong destroyed me. I literally could not get past the first level. Fail!!! This was a fun time with the family and highly recommended! We had pizza delivered here, but forgot to bring plates, so we used some napkins they had. It's BYOB, too, if you want to drink. read more

Cool spot. My son and I come and play the retro games. Reminds me of when I was a kid so it's fun to show him the old street fighter and nba jam. I cannot say how excited I am that The Gane Preserve has opened up in NASA!! I am familiar with this company from their location off of Sawdust near Spring, TX, but I no longer live in that area. I was headed to the bar next door a couple nights ago when I noticed the sign. I immediately had to confirm it was the same company. I have to say, the place looks beautiful and I am so impressed! I introduced my boyfriend and a couple of our friends to the experience that night and we had a blast! Only $15 day passes! No tokens, and BYOB. It doesn't get better than that, my friends. I have been here a few times before and was going to write a review earlier. After today, I really needed to. The ambiance is OK. Really, the best part of the decorations they have are the murals in the hallway leading up to the actual entrance. Inside it's pretty spartan. They have some good games, but some have a piece of paper over them stating to check back tomorrow. I had been going here for a while, and still see the same signs on the same machines. Some games are just broken, and have no sign on them. A lot of the games you hope to find and are either featured in the murals or posters, like Pole Position, TMNT, Q Bert, etc, aren't even there. The absolute worst part of our visit today was the customer service. Previous times I was attended by an employee with a beard, and he was always nice. This time, he was there at one register, but we were dealing with another guy with long hair past his shoulders. From the very beginning to the very end, he was extremely rude and nasty to us. It started off with his just standing there not saying anything to us. So I walked up and said I was checking in and had a membership. He just stood there dazed, and then in an exaggerated manner shook his head from side to side and shrugged his shoulders, then said (dripping with sarcasm) "And who are you?" I told him my name and he looked me up. He said that my membership was expired. I asked him which day it expired, and he said yesterday. I told him we had tried to come the day before but it was closed. He asked, "Monday?" I guess he wasn't sure what day the previous day was. I said yes. He replied that they were closed on Monday. That's what I had just told him. So I asked if it would still work since they were closed on the last day I could have come for my membership. He mumbled something. Then just stood there staring at me. By this point I should have just left, but had brought three other people with me to introduce them to this place. So I told him, "You're just staring at me." Then he said I asked if it would work, and opening his eyes wide with even more sarcasm said, "It will NOT." This employee was extremely hostile and condescending the entire time. In spite of this we were polite and calm. Honestly, the way the interaction should have gone was: How can I help you? Oh you're a member? Let me pull up your information, I'm ready when you are. Unfortunately, it's expired, and we won't honour it despite being closed yesterday, I'm sorry. If it had gone like that, I'd probably be planning to go back as well as the people I brought with me. It left such a bad taste in all of our mouths though. Why have someone who has such contempt for customers there? He was extremely nasty and disgusting the whole time I dealt with him. If you go to this place, and he's working one of the registers, just wait and have the other guy with the dark beard check you in. Save yourself the hassle. read more
