We were done within two hours, even though we tried to stretch it out. We didn't do the ropes course/zipline or the waterpark though, but we saw that the waterpark is very small.

The Carnavale di Venezia was an extraordinary theme that they stuck with and executed beautifully, really touching upon emotions that I didn't expect, starting from the moment I walked into that circus tent. The bright and cozy atmosphere, italian circus music playing through the speakers, concessions like popcorn and cotton candy being sold from carts, a nostalgic and warm feeling of going back in time to the simple joys of going to the circus, as well as the beginning of theatre. My fave was the dog show, with canines doing some typical and not-so-typical stunts and tricks. It was especially fun watching the little dogs ride on the back of the pony as it galloped around the ring. A lot of actors young and old impressed throughout the show, including a 3-year-old toddler, an adorable mini version of Nino the Clown. They all did a remarkable job on stage, regardless of age, every one of them just seemed genuine even when in character. Beyond laughter and amazement, this circus really brought the feeling of family, which could be felt not just seen. I couldn't help but leave this event smiling.

It is also recorded as the deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history. The movie provides great context about Galveston's history, and helps you appreciate the rest of what you see and experience during your visit in town. The documentary was well restored and very informative. The Texas Seaport Museum recommend we go next door to see the film. There are several showings throughout the day, and they warned us to arrive 15 minutes before show time, as they are strict about not allowing for late seating. The theater shows 2 other films. The Great Storm only costs $6 for adults. Tip - the Theater is located on Pier 21 with other restaurants. If you are going to Pier 21 include time for a meal or drink at one of the restaurants. Then they will validate for your parking.

Tonight, Diana had a Barbie party ( the movie opened in theaters today) We paid to be VIP's so, we got food, champagne, and a cute flamingo make-up bag. It's the famous pier with great views of the Galveston Channel, Battleship Texas, and the…read morewaterfront. You'll see all kinds of seabirds sunbathing on rocks, as well as dolphins frolicking around the ships. They also have dolphin and scenic boat tours that leave from here as well. There are many photo opportunities including the whimsical "High Tide" sculpture by Charles Parks. It's very uplifting. This is also where you can find the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa Museum and the Ocean Star Oil Drilling Rig Museum. Many people stay at the Harbor House Hotel on the waterfront so that they can walk to the Strand Historic District. There are many good restaurants on the pier including Katie's Seafood House where you'll see the mosquito fleet of shrimp boats. We mainly enjoyed watching the wildlife while walking along the pier. It was a cool & breezy day. It was fun seeing the birds carrying around their fresh catch of the day. I totally recommend stopping here at some point while you're in town. It's a great start or end to a day of touring Galveston.
