I have been a member of this community since it opened. I've only considered canceling my…read moremembership one other time when they had the Caroline crew, but this new crew they've hired has really soured my whole experience. Hotworx was my favorite place to go for stress relief, detoxing, alone time after work and weekend peace. Now, I have to make myself go because I am paying for the membership and feel guilty if I don't go. It all has to do with the staff. I'm completely surprised by the way the owners have allowed this new manager to create social media with her tatas out every time she posts something. The content she puts out is just distasteful and her husband in every video- it's very off putting and not "on brand". It reflects poorly on the company. The other young man is social awkward and I don't feel comfortable with him. He doesn't know how to interact with people, he bombards new signees the minute they walk out of the sauna, right in the middle of the isle and immediately asks what membership they want? What a turn off! Yet, if he is close to his lunch hour or it's too soon to closing time and someone new wants to sign up, he tells them he's off and to come back tomorrow. I, personally, have never felt comfortable with him being there if I'm alone at the studio because of his awkward presence, lack of knowledge and social skills. I don't know how a business has gone through so many different employees in such a short period. Additionally, this new staff doesn't seem to have the work ethic to clean and maintain the same level of sanitation that the previous staff has always done. I've only seen them sit or stand at the front desk. I've had to clean broken toenails out of my sauna AND I had left my sweater in a cubby for a week and no one had noticed it!

HOWEVER: The workout itself was amazing, Linda was amazing. A few ladies next to me were amazing, helping me out since I'm new. I am definitely coming back but more prepared. You need to bring a yoga mat, a yoga towel that has grips on the bottom (I didn't know this before arrival) , a booty band and a large water bottle. They provide everything else. Loved it!

Alec and Ericka are so kind and supportive and Suny, Kristine, and Linda will work your butt off. I especially like Linda's Pilates and Sculpt classes because they're so challenging. Linda genuinely cares about making sure everyone in the room is doing the movements correctly and safely. I have learned so much from her.

The space, itself, is calmiglng and welcoming. Kate was very welcoming herself, and has an amazing energy about her. The class was a mix of meditation and yoga. We started with yoga, with great focus in breathing techniques. The yoga nidra came after and can I say, it was, for myself, intense. I have never donenany type of meditating, and by the end of the session, I was silently crying. It helped release so much needed stress and anxiety that I have been holding onto. I recommend this studio and especially this class to anyone.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has never tried reformer pilates & is interested to learn more!* As they are gearing up for their grand opening, they are currently offering 5 different classes to suit those who are brand new, seasoned pros, or those who are just looking for a relaxing stretch. She told me I could use it for class credit or get the money back. I planned to return to a class but then I broke my back. When I got back to her she told me it was too late for either. She had not said there was a time factor or I would have just got my money back. But the worst part was she was unkind and showed no concern about what I had been through. First of all, the owners, Patrick and Crystal, are just about the nicest people ever, and they definitely know their stuff and have a passion for their business. The studio is built around private sessions--before you can sign up for classes you must go through 1 or 2 private sessions with one of the instructors. Some people might be uncomfortable with this, but it helps to ensure that when you're in class you're actually doing the moves correctly and that the instructor can tailor some of the moves to suit you. Their classes also rarely have more than 3 or 4 people, which means you get plenty of personal attention. They work on a points system, in which you buy a package of points and then sign up for classes of varying point amounts. It can get a bit pricey, and is probably a good bit more than your run-of-the-mill chain gym, but the personal service is well worth it. After just a few classes the instructors and other customers begin to feel like a family and the overall atmosphere is extremely positive. This is the first workout program I've ever managed to stay on for any length of time, and I don't see myself quitting anytime soon! Edit: I forgot to add that they have a very convenient online system for purchasing points and signing up for classes.
