The Garden Community Cafe is a vibrant space based at 7 Cundy Road, serving food from 8am to 3.30pm everyday and running projects for the community alongside this.
The Garden Community Cafe started in 1995, ever since has opened its doors to people of all ages, ethnicity, faiths and no faith and is currently part of the Ascension Community Trust. We provide a space for people to meet, eat and find support.
We offer a fantastic selection of hot and cold foods, including soups and sandwiches, cooked breakfasts and jacket potatoes. We also sell our award winning 'Bowl of Magic', a delicious mix of granola, yoghurt, fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, wheatgerm and honey.
History
Established in 1995.
The Garden Community Cafe started in 1995 and ever since has opened it's doors to people of all ages, ethnicity, faiths and no faith, providing a space for people to meet, build friendships and support. In January 2013 new management took over, aiming to continue to create community in this space.
Meet the Manager: Hannah B.
Hannah took over the management of the Garden Community Cafe in January 1995, after working and volunteering at the cafe for 5 years. With experience in catering, youth and community work and education in management she aim's to continue the cafe's long legacy.
