Service was super slow (so much so that I was scrolling Door dash while I waited). Once I was served the bartender was super friendly. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad and it was delicious. I found this spot on Yelp when I was wanting to try a new place to eat in Greenwood. The place is small but very popular so get there early for lunch. The service was absolutely spectacular! This was truly a team environment of very hard working ladies! They all should get 5 stars! They have a system that is way beyond any service I have ever experienced and I used to be a server/hostess myself! They have diner style food and blue place special meats and veggies options! I chose the fried chicken livers, rice & gravy and Lima beans. The chicken livers were PERFECT! Better than "grandma's". I'm definitely recommend this location if you're ever in the area. Best lunch spot in Greenwood. I try to stop whenever I am in town over lunch. They have a cheeseburger special daily with fries and a drink for $8-9! The portion is huge and tasty. The salads are pretty good too! Waitstaff is prompt and friendly. A gem.... I wish I lived closer. Must try. read more

This good hometown cooking! The people are nice and the food is hearty and affordable! My sister and I wanted a good burger and we were told to come here. The food is VERY fresh and their sweet tea is awesome. It's an unassuming place so you could easily drive by and not realize it's there. The food is still great and the staff is friendlier than ever. It's still high on my recommendation list. Update: They added a veranda area to expand seating. Very surprised what I found as there are always cars outside so I had to try it. No table service (that surprised me). The layout of this place is awkward I would say. I sat by the partition to where you can go outside. There was a shelf next to me that had shells on etc and there was a ton of cobwebs on there as though it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Got my food. Food was nothing to write home about - standard junk food. Went to the bathroom and the waitress that was cleaning up ready to go home through the rest of my food away ! We passed this place on the way to another store and were impressed by how busy it appeared so we decided to stop on the way back. The building is small with limited seating but we were able to find a seat. You order you food at the counter which is unusual but we were OK with this. We both ordered the mushroom and Swiss cheeseburgers with fries and coleslaw. These were some of the best burgers I have had since living here in Greenwood! The fries were crispy and hot and the coleslaw was delicious. The bun held up and was not soggy. The staff were all super pleasant and never stopped the whole time we were there but always took the time to stop and ask us if we needed anything or a drink refill. The constant stream of customers through the door, most for takeout, was something I have not seen for a long time and this was at 3 in the afternoon. That is a testament to the food and service! Both came in a timely manner. Service was quick and courteous. Kept the drinks coming without asking. Went to the Garden Grille for the first time last night. They were packed, but we got a little table on the enclosed porch. It was freezing out there! It would be nice if they had some portable heaters on chilly nights. It was easy to see there were a lot of "regulars" having dinner there, and the staff was friendly with everyone. Our cups never got empty! Now, for the food: I think this may be the best cheeseburger in Greenwood, and I believe I've now tried them all. I thought I had found the best, but the toasted bun just edged out my previous fave. Hubby had a couple of hot dogs with slaw, and he loved them. The onion rings were hot and fresh, but they aren't home made. This place is a bit out of the way for us, but I imagine we'll find our way back down there pretty soon. read more

The best cheeseburger I've ever had. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted by two very sweet & friendly waitresses. The service was excellent and they kept my tea glass full the entire time I was there. I have now become a regular at this restaurant because you can't beat the great food for such a great price. Topping it off with friendly, warm smiles from the service staff. They also serve home made meat and veggie dinners that are also fantastic.
