The pizza came out lukewarm the polly pizza - The middle tasted like dough bought 3 and it was like 50 something, so I thought it should be better. I told them, but guess they did not care. I decided to add a star because the owner is trying to reach our to me however I'm not comfortable giving out my private number to a business. It's the best quality pizza you'll get in the area. Personally, I think it's the best casual restaurant in Greenwood, SC. With the order I had, I found myself saying this is better than what I'm used to getting. Spinach and Artichoke dip was good, but the pita CHIPS was by far some of the best I've had. Also the pizza had a great balance of good crust (brick oven), cheese, and sauce. You know how you can nitpick on either the quality or quantity of cheese or sauce (or if the crust was burnt) when you get pizza? Well just know the good folks at The Mill House make it really hard to do that. Service and wait time were pretty impressive too. I've been here twice during slow and busy times and service has been consistent and good. I have no complaints. I suggest trying this place if you haven't. I'll be back next time I'm in town to try their different pizza sauces and eating pizza that's easily under 2500 calories :) read more

We were staying with an older relative who really didn't feel like going out, so we decided to order in, and she suggested pizza. So, I found Mill House on Yelp, because she said other family members had been there. I like the area where this restaurant is located, and there seemed to be plenty of parking around. The building is very nice, with plenty of seating, so they can accommodate lots of people. We walked in to order, as I have food sensitivities, and wanted to avoid any misunderstandings that might be possible by doing a call-in. We immediately noticed a sign that directed us to the back of the bar for to-go orders. They took our order & phone number, and texted us very quickly to pick up the order. I ordered the Cheeseburger Pizza on a 10-inch Cauliflower crust, cousin ordered the small Cheese Pizza, and hubby ordered 12 Plain Wings. We were told the wings come to the restaurant already seasoned. Boy, that seasoning is Spicy! I could only handle one wing, and didn't want another. The total bill, with no drinks, was about $50. Neither of the pizzas had much topping, but mine tasted okay. Not like, Wow, This is delicious! But, okay. In all fairness, I had been traveling nonstop for 3 days at this point and running on just a few hours of sleep so beer and pizza wasn't what my body was craving. Wow! Delicious, top tier pizza. We opted for the pink sauce which is a blend of tomato and ricotta. The white sauce has a little spice do you really don't need toppings. There are several beers on tap and their fresher brewed tea was perfect. We took the dessert pizza to go. Service was excellent, she was attentive without coming by to often. Wow The Mill House was an excellent choice!! Here with friends for lunch. According to my friends the pizzas and wings are awesome here! Oh plus the craft beers are solid!! Some had wings and others had pizza! I went with the Paula's Preferred Pizza and I got the Baron Von Weitzen craft beer, oh my delicious combination!! The pizza is outstanding, excellent meats and the crust is thin style and crispy the way I like it. Hubby did a random search for good pizza and wings in the area and this place came up. Decent parking nearby. It wasn't busy at the time we came in (close to 8:30-9:00pm), so we were seated immediately. Our server was nice and helpful with suggestions on the menu. Hubby had the wings (baked). He asked for 6 Imperial and 6 Killa Bee. He thoroughly enjoyed them. He also ordered the Fungus Amungus pizza and it was a hit as well. I ordered the meatball sub at our server's recommendation. The Mill House was recommended to me as I was new to the area. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and Ian, the server/host was so awesome! He made great recommendations and as a lone diner, he gave me enough space to order, dine and relax but also enough hospitality to make this little place charming. He knew a lot about Greenwood and was excellent at offering what to see, do and eat. The food here was excellent. Very unique flavor combinations. The sub was Philly steak -ish...... but with prime rib and wow what a difference! The potato salad was the same. Excellent flavor but had a surprising subtle smoky flavor which I loved. Sorry but it was lackluster. A scoop of dry hummus surrounded by stalks of celery and spears of red pepper standing straight up as if my 7 year old plated it. A splash of olive oil would have made the hummus much more attractive and tasty. The pita triangles served had been deep fried . They were oily and limp. Others in my party enjoyed their food.
