A difficult & abused feeling experience with this firm. I needed legal help to process the estate of my deceased mother. I ended up wasting six months and about $4K, paid in fees, with no outcome with Geller Law. I was first requested to have a mandatory paid initial consultation session to go over my legal help needed. I was introduced to Julie S. during this session. After describing my specific case & needs, she informed me that Geller Law can handle my case. What followed was months of emotional stress & redundant conversations with the staff of this firm that yielded no results. It became clear to me that they didn't know how to legally handle my case. Some staff members were argumentative & appeared trying to take advantage of this emotional situation for me. There were redundant conversations that I was later billed for. I concluded that this firm is not the choice that can handle my case professionally. I terminated my work with them. The new law firm I selected to handle my case turned out to be more knowledgeable for my case. And, more compassionate with me. I worked with Rachel E. Rubinstein on 2 different cases in the last few yrs (Divorce and then later a custody situation). Rachel is fantastic! She's very smart, strategic, pragmatic, a great communicator, steady handed and (to steal a Dr. reference) has a good "bedside manner". Rachel does a tremendous job in live court room action and is equally sharp in written form when communicating to a Judge. Unfortunately, I cannot give zero stars. Associate Attorney Alexis Abraham did a terrible job consulting my father's estate planning as he passed away unexpectedly and very fast. Against everything we mentioned in our consultation, she gave me power to sell the property in his will which we specifically did not want. I hired her to consult for probate since she wrote the will. More mistakes were made where she advised me to file court documents incorrectly. After I pointed out that this information was wrong, she insisted she was right. Documents were rejected by court and I corrected them. I stopped reaching out for advice after that. I received a "just checking in to see if you need help" email which I was charged $50 for. Then I received an email that she is no longer with the firm. I am out thousands of dollars and now may be forced to sell my family's home against my family's wishes. I am unsure what firm she went to but do not use this person for Estate or Probate matters. read more

The quality of service and advice offered to me for my brothers estate planning was below any acceptable professional standard. Basic errors and misinformation, no action taken until immediate deadline, forcing me again and again to drop everyhing to make court deadlines.Had me chasing down financial docs from firms saying they had never received such requests. Iwas left to do the first (complex) filing solo and created a 7 sheet excel document with cross referencing formulas to complete it using MD court instructions- zero help or guidance.The senior lawyer reviewed, oked it and it was submitted. I was delighted only 4 small errors were caught (one being a missing form the firm was responsible for). The para immediately said she "found" other errors (reminder: I was charged for legal review) and did I want them fixed. Out pops a 7k bill, I made them highlight changes and she a) rekeyed the PDF rather than updating the source and b) mostly corrected their law firm name to its legal entity. Either really not smart or predatory. read more

I worked with the Geller Law Group for a time. I was severely disappointed and ended up going to another law office. Not only was the response time really unacceptable when waiting for documents to turn around (weeks each time), but even worse was the unprofessionalism I encountered. I've never seen such immature and unprofessional behavior from what seemed to be a reputable business. It wasn't anything about my case that was the issue, it was their childish behavior: giggling through meetings, snickering at whatever was going on in their room, and otherwise not attending to what was going on while we were supposed to be doing business on calls. I took my case elsewhere and was very happy with the outcome and the professional treatment I received. I do not recommend this business. read more

We loved working this firm on our estate planning documents. Every potential scenario was considered, we have backups for our backups, clauses for every contingency, it's so freaking thorough. What they provide is not comparable to something you could do using a cheap online service - this is dozens of pages to cover everything comprehensively. They were also so patient with our many starts and stops during the process as we would get overwhelmed answering questions about our wishes in different scenarios and set the whole thing aside and come back to it later. Love them! Also they are women-led and they have a very family-friendly environment for their attorneys and it sounds like that's beside the point, but you want a happy attorney working for you - not someone burnt out and grinding through as many billable hours as possible. And maybe it's silly to slightly prefer one gender over another, but I felt very comfortable working with another woman on these docs that can be so impactful to a family, to think through every possibility and prepare for it, to make sure everyone is taken care of no matter what happens. read more

A few months ago I was looking into finding a lawyer for estate planning, but I don't know anyone in the area who has done this before. So I turned to Yelp. The thing I liked about Geller before I contacted them, beside the fact that they are located just down the street from me, is they seem to treat their employees well. I figured if they treat their employees well, then they should treat their clients the same. I sent an email for a consultation and the next day I got a reply with a list of times for me to choose from. When the time for my appointment came, I got a call from Chantelle, one of the partners at Geller, and she spent about forty-five minutes answering all of my questions over the phone. I was told the whole estate planning process would take a few months to complete, but it ended up being finished several weeks earlier than expected. They gave me plenty of time to review the documents before I signed them and they wrote out the documents to include everything I requested. Being able to do everything over phone and email was very convenient. I went with the estate planning package they offer. It includes the document notary and witnesses. I liked it because it saved me the trouble of having to track those down. The whole process was very easy and straight forward. read more
