This was our first stop when we landed in Chattanooga. What a great way to start a vacation! Meredith was our sommelier who was professional, polite and so knowledgeable about the wines she served! Where to start? This is the only winery I'm aware of that offers five tastings for free! 5 additional tastings cost $5. GA. Winery is open 362 days per year. Parking is free and plentiful. The grounds are beautiful, you can pick muscadines ($15) and they sell everything from watermelon salsa with free samples, to Cherry Cola wine (black cherries and sweet red for $18.95). I'm partial to sweet so I was in heaven! There weren't many patrons on Labor Day eve. It's a nice spot to be romantic, gather with friends or celebrate solo. They have a nice selection of Blush, White, Red, White and Fruit wines. My favorite was the Southern Sangria which features muscadines, blueberries & blackberries ($16.95). Treat yourself to Pina Colada and yummy Strawberry slushies and flights. 8 oz. is $7.95. $12.95 for 16 oz. to-go. A little pricey but delish. Sip while strolling the picturesque grounds. Or be fancy and have a glass of wine ($10). There's a wine club, specialty wines and food if you're hungry. Hummus plate $15, cheese plate $17, charcuterie $18 etc. Shoutout to Stephanie! Beautiful space, great wine and great views! Location and Parking Located right off the interstate in North Georgia near the Chattanooga border, parking is plentiful and free. Venue and Atmosphere The winery is inviting, with an expansive wine selection and bar in front, and a spacious tasting room with a patio in the rear. There were plenty of free food samples available (cookies, crackers, jams, etc.) and the venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas when I visited with my partner. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Our bartender happily made recommendations based on our tastes. Food and Beverages Georgia Winery specializes in sweet wines. While I wasn't a huge fan of any of the wines, I truly enjoyed the slushies. I tasted peach, sangria, and hurricane. We had the opportunity for a very short visit this past weekend. I was fighting a cold or flu and was not able to enjoy as we wanted to do the tour. But the wines we did sample were so good. The staff was super helpful and patient explaining The wines and pairings. We ended up buying 6 bottles and also some delicious truffles. The place is super cute. This place is right off the border of Tennessee and Georgia and is def worth the stop!! They have plenty of wines to taste. If you are a sweet wine drinker this place is for you. They do have some drier but limited. They have a nice size wine tasting bar. They offer a winery tour for a small fee and you can make reservations or line or there. What a fun experience just over the border in Georgia! If you're visiting Chattanooga, you absolutely don't want to miss this winery. They offer free sample tastings of their delicious wines, which was a great way to try out different flavors. We ended up taking home two bottles--Georgia on My Mind and Niagara--both were fantastic! In addition to the wine, they have a great variety of snack options, making it a perfect stop for a relaxing afternoon. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I've never been to a winery so I don't have a lot to go by, but I had fun! The staff was very friendly and helpful in their suggestions. We did a sampling, they offered five. We then ordered a glass of wine and a cheese plate. It was a really nice day so we sat outside. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, they so have a small path that you can take to look at the vines. We are thinking of going back to take a tour. We each bought 3 bottles before we left. They also offer a wine club that you can 3, 6, or 12 bottles quarterly at a discount. Not sure if they're random or you can pick your own. If you're in the club it looks like other bottles are discounted as well but I could be wrong. read more

Came here while in TN visiting my brother. This is only a few minutes away from him. It's is absolutely beautiful inside. We walked up to the counter where they offer 5 free samples of their wines. My hubby knows how much I love Concord grape wine from Georgia Winery. For our anniversary due to having to stay locally in Georgia, thanks to Covid 19, he surprised me with a wine tour. On Saturday tours are offered at 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. The fee for each adult is $15 and you get several tastings during the tour. They are also kid friendly so if you have no one to watch the kids they can come too for a small fee of $7 and they will receive a glass of non alcoholic cider. Mask are required while not drinking wine and social distancing. Make sure you get your tickets in advance for the tour because spaces are limited. Georgia Winery is family owned and I was not surprised at the detail and time it takes to make sure the wine is perfect. I'm a fan of sweet wine and all the wines we tasted during our tour was sweet. After the tour we did a tasting, the first 5 are free. My personal favorites from our visit was the seasonal Cranberry Blush, Muscadine, and the Rawlings Ruby Red. We purchased 12 bottles, 4 of each of my favorite. I live in Atlanta and have only been able to find Concord, Chattanooga Blush, Blackberry, Georgia on my mind and Tail Gate Red locally. The staff was super friendly, our tour guide was informative and entertaining. My only complaint is that the drive was very long and I plan to come back often. read more

Wine locally made in Georgia? Why, yes! First time I had a taste, I was in love! I am not much of a wine drinker, so that says a lot! If I did have any it was your typical sweet type of wines, moscato & dessert varietes. Anywho, the Georgia Winery is well known for their sweet and semi-sweet wines, so if you're like me, you will fall in love as well! I recommend the tour if it's your first time visit! The grandson of the vineyards' owner was our guide. He'll guide you to the history of the vineyard to what it is today. Most importantly, you get to sample 3 glasses of wine with your tour! Cost was a mere $15+ tax, compared to about $6 a glass if you are purchasing one in their showroom, you are basically getting a free tour & discount on your drink! You even get to keep your wine glass at the end of the tour! Wonderful hosts greet you at the door, and show you to the sampling area. There, you get to sample 5 of their wines, more if you're curious before buying a glass or a bottle! I think I got to try most on my visit. Ended up buying about 3 bottles at the end of the day! The Concord, Blackberry, and Strawberry wine! Everyone at the winery was very helpful, and friendly. Definitely will come back on my next visit to Georgia. read more

This place never disappoints. The wine selection is great and the service is very "southern" and comforting. I've been so many times over the last 10 years and I always find something new. My newest favorite is the Scarlet wine. It was the perfect blend of fruity and semi-sweet. Loved it so much that I purchased 3 bottles even though I have lots of their other wines at home. I didn't like the Rhett at all. If you're looking for a great southern winery to try come here for a wine tasting or just to enjoy a nice bottle while chatting at a table next to their vineyard. My boyfriend and I visited a week ago and was very impressed with the set up, wines and service. You walk in, a hostess greets you and asked how they can help. We told her we wanted to do a wine tasting. Then she broke it down and showed us a menu. Once we got to the tasting area, we were waited on right away. You get 5 free tastings (tiny oz pours) We decided to do the dry wines and got: Chardonnay Tara bella Merlot (love the peppery finish) Cabernet Sauvignon -(2nd fave. Very smooth) Dread head red My favorite was the Dread Head Red! Had a dry and bold taste. We had to purchase a bottle to take home ($27.99). The inside is very huge. Tables to sit and enjoy a glass or bottle of their wines. They also serve appetizers (cheese plates) On one side you can shop for condiments and gifts (salsas, jellies etc. all local made) They also do special events and have a wine club to join if interested. This is the best little winery in Georgia! The wine is seriously the best , no matter how big of a wine snob you are. They have something for everyone! I am partial to the Blackberry wine, Chattanooga blush, the Georgia On my Mind, the Niagara Falls. You can taste test some of the wines at no cost. There is a small fee if you want to taste more than 5, and some the premium award winners. They have tons of gifts for any wine lover and some gifts just for anyone in general. They also have some cheeses to go with that wine. You can pick the wine up chilled or at room temperature. They also have snacks such different types of crackers and they have yummy chocolates and truffles. This is a cute little winery is located in North Georgia not too far from the Ga/TN state line and about 1.5 hours from Atlanta. We stopped in on our ride to Chattanooga. They offer a daily free wine tasting where you can select up to 5 different wines to sample from their menu. I tried the Blueberry Blush, Southern Sangria, Scarlett, Muscadine, and Georgia on my Mind. All of them were pretty good except for the Blueberry Blush, it was extremely sweet. Almost a cross between grape juice and the taste of cough syrup. After our free tasting we ended up buying a couple of bottles of the Sangria and Blackberry to take home as well as a couple of glasses of our other favorites to enjoy outside on the deck. They offer sweet wines (blush, red, white), dry, and semi sweet. If you love the rich sweet taste of muscadines, there are muscadine vines out back where you can pick a gallon worth to take home and enjoy ($12). They also have wine slushies, appetizer plates, jams and jellies, juices/cider for the kids, wine accessories, chocolate, as well as sauces and oils for purchase. We were intrigued and bought a jar of the moonshine pickles. According to the sommelier doing the tastings, they don't contain moonshine. They definitely didn't taste like it and were similar to the taste of bread and butter pickles. They offer two tours of the facility on Saturdays ($20 per person). The 45 min tour will give you a behind the scenes look at Georgia Wines and discover all of the hard work that goes into some of their vintages while learning how the wine is made. The only downside with Ga Winery is the location. It's directly off of the freeway, across the street from a gas station, and sits behind a subway restaurant which makes it feel cheap. While outside on the back deck you can clearly hear the noise and see the highway traffic which doesn't give off a relaxing atmosphere. However after enjoying an afternoon here myself despite that, I'd recommend Georgia Winery. It's good for a weekend date, girls outing, or even a solo trip to unwind. read more

This is a sweet wine lovers paradise. They have a huge selection of sweet wines with some deni sweet and dry ones. Tasting is free with an average of 5 tastings pretty person. They also have some non alcoholic ciders. We arrived around 7 on a Friday. We were helped by Laura, huge shout out to her. She kept us engaged, explained about the wines, gave some local tips and a very sweet person. With both of us combined, we tasted a lot and settled on the southern blush. Great selection of wines and even have some food to snack on and nice seating area. I was there on a Motorcycle Toy Run as one of our stops. The people working there were helpful and friendly and the place was very nice. We were able to sample the various wines and I found the Cabernet dry red my favorite. I will make this a stop on future rides or just to get away for a bit. Besides I want to try the food along with the wine. Also going to get a few bottles for Christmas presents so better behave!!. I came to Georgia Winery with the intention of getting a bottle of wine for a friend. I was passing through the area, which is about 20 minutes from Chattanooga and I thought it would make a nice gift. I had my heart set on getting the Southern Sangria ($14.95) after reading the description for it. When I arrived I noticed how spacious the interior was but headed to the tasting area on the left side. A staff member asked if I wanted to do a tasting and I told them that I knew which bottle I wanted to get but I wanted just a small tasting of just this to make sure before purchasing. In the middle of explaining this to the staff she cut me off and said "I'll need to see your ID". She then proceeded with helping other people at the bar and she acted as if I was inconveniencing her. The rest of my visit she said as little to me as possible. She wasn't helpful, she wasn't friendly and I immediately felt uncomfortable and guarded. I actually considered just leaving and not buying the wine because her attitude was so poor. However, I will say I did like the wine so I stuck around and bought it. The wine was decent but honestly because of the customer service I won't be returning. The interior is modern and nice although the location is a bit strange off of the interstate. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon the Georgia Winery and boy am I happy that we did. Let me start out by saying as soon as walked thought the door we were welcomed and greeted by Trey, He was so welcoming, it felt as if we knew him and he knew us. My husband and I did a tasting with him, he was so knowledgeable and patient as I was a slow sipper. During our tasting we met Meredith. She too was personable and welcoming. After we finished our tasting we decided to grab a bottle and sit outside on the patio before grabbing some bottles to take home. Both Meredith and Trey were so attentive to us even once we went outside to sip our tasty Southern Blush! The wine was amazing but the excellent customer service provided by both Trey and Meredith alone would make me come back and tell other people come. On the way to Chattanooga for a girls weekend, we stopped off here and had a wonderful experience!! The staff was very knowledgeable, made fantastic recommendations based on our preferences, and offered free tastings. We split a flight and a small charcuterie plate, and left with some bottles and merchandise. One of the women at the register came outside and took a photo for us as we were failing miserably at taking a selfie! The store was clean, service impeccable, and wine was delicious. While these are typical muscadine wines with good body, complexity, and finish, they still came through for someone who likes dryer wines. The store was fun and we picked up a few extra local jams and a honey as we checked out. They had cheese and other pairings to compliment the wine. Service was fair. A person walked past our group a few times and could have jumped in to help move things along, but she did nothing. This left four of us sitting idle for a while. The only negative is the location. There is no view enjoy, you have a camp ground, street or a tiny patch of vines. read more
