Great Food, in an area with not a lot of options. They do have breakfast burritos too!

They were a hit! Be warned: these are not personal pizzas; this can easily be shared with 2-3 people. We also got 2 salads (their mozzarella and bread on the side is delightful) and a pasta alla bolognese. But the pizza is the real star of the show here: they handmake it in front of you, put it in the woodfire oven, and serve it to you fresh.

We were pretty excited to see a Neapolitan pizza and pasta restaurant in Moab. The reviews looked…read moresolid, and from what I remembered from our last visit many years ago, there were not many pizza options in town. We ordered the Salsiccia e Funghi, a sausage and mushroom pizza, along with the mussels in white wine sauce appetizer, homemade Italian cream sodas, and one additional limonata soda. The pizza was okay, but not the quality I would expect from a polished Neapolitan-style pizza place, especially at this price point. The mussels appetizer had potential because white wine sauce is exactly the kind of dish we usually enjoy with bread. Before ordering, I specifically asked about the bread because we like having enough to sop up the broth, the way you would expect at a good Italian restaurant. Our waitress said she would bring as much bread as we wanted. There were three of us, and the appetizer came with three pieces of bread. Given the earlier conversation, we later asked for three more pieces. The request seemed to bother her. When she delivered the extra bread, sensing her frustration, we said she could add it to the bill, and she told us she already had. That was frustrating because we had just discussed it before ordering. We were attempting to be more gracious, and she missed the mark with her response. She could have said ok, or thank you, or "no it's ok I told you could have as much bread as you wanted for the mussels" The mussels themselves were also uneven. Several had not opened during cooking, which is generally a sign that they should not be served or eaten. With mussels, the usual food-safety rule is: if they do not open during cooking, do not eat them. The FDA's consumer seafood guidance says clams, mussels, and oysters should open during cooking, and the ones that do not open should be thrown out. That made us question the quality control and preparation of the dish. The cream sodas were mixed. The berry version was delicious, but the mango version missed the mark. It was not sweet at all and tasted like the mango may not have been ripe. A little simple syrup, or ripe mango, would have helped a lot. The unripe mango soda ends up tasting a little like pine sol smells. We were also disappointed because the prices were more in line with what we would expect from a higher-quality meal. For the items noted above, plus one additional limonata soda, the meal came to over $60. I typically tip over 20%, but I took the extra bread charge off the tip, and the tip was still over 17%. Overall, this was not a terrible experience, but it was disappointing compared with what we were hoping for. The food had some good ideas, but several details felt off, and the service created a communication gap that left a bad impression.

So fun and friendly they moonlight as professional best friends. The pineapple salsa hit like a tropical vacation I didn't know I needed. Nachos were great -- no notes. The pulled pork was so flavorful it made me question my plain-chicken era. The brisket? Fork-optional tender. And the mac and cheese was so creamy it deserves its own zip code. But the real villain? The Chubby Cow Taco. I don't know what sorcery lives inside that thing, but it now haunts my dreams in the best possible way. 5/5 stars. Will return. Possibly tonight.

My wife and I both ordered the brisket taco. Hers without the pineapple mango salsa and with Mac and cheese as a side. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries with mine. My wife absolutely loved it. I was expecting moister brisket rather than the burnt ends type meat. That being said, the flavors were very good. The tacos included a large portion of the burnt ends with a very tasty rather sweet bbq sauce, chunks of potatoes with a melty white cheese and a good flour tortilla. I was saddened by the amount of cilantro in the salsa; blame my DNA as it tastes like soap to me. I found the sweet potato fries tasty and an adequate amount as a small side. My wife's side of Mac and cheese was the better side and was easily enough for both of us to have shared as a side. It reheated well for an addition to a salad the next day in our hotel room. Our friends had a very good bacon cheeseburger and a grilled cheese, both with large portions of French fries. They also had leftovers to take home. The service was prompt and attentive without feeling like we were being hovered over, nor were we pressured to eat and leave. This made for a very pleasant conversation catching up with old friends. This would be one of our top dining choices in Cortez.

The service wasn't fast, but not slow either, and we weren't in any hurry so we were happy with the speed of service. Probably because I heard they make them share tips with the back crew. Pay the back crew better then. The meat? Dry as a cardboard box left in the Nevada sun for three summers. Brisket had the texture of an old boot sole and somehow zero smoke flavor--like they forgot to turn the smoker on. Ribs were tough, overcooked, and tasted mostly of disappointment. Coleslaw was just sad shredded cabbage swimming in watery mayo. Beans were straight from a can with zero seasoning. Even the sweet tea tasted like someone stirred it with regret. $18 for a two-meat plate that made me wish I'd just eaten gas station jerky instead. Place sucked. Atmosphere sucked. Food sucked. Would not return even if they paid me. 0/10, do not recommend unless you hate yourself

Not knowing any of the restaurants there, I asked around for a good place. The hotel front desk employee suggested to check out Canyon Smokehouse. After listening to their suggestions, I also checked out Yelp, and after reading some reviews, I found it really helpful. Parking is limited, so be prepared! The dining area is pretty big with plenty of tables and chairs. You order your meal by the counter, pay and find an empty spot. Cashier will give you a buzzer, so you'll know when the food is ready. You pick up your food at the counter. Soft drinks are available with a free refill. I was pretty hungry after walking in Monument Valley all day, so I have decided to order a Two Meat entree with two sides. I chose smoked brisket and smoked pork with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! Pork was a little fatty and I didn't like it, but everything else was very good. I also ordered dessert, which was a pre packaged Brownie. Size wise it was huge! Ate some of it. Definitely satisfying. I'll be returning when I get back to Bluff again.

You get 2 sides with the plate so we ordered fries and the corn salad. Fries were very good and the corn salad was so so. It's self serve so you order at the counter, grab a drink from the fountain (they do offer beer and wine as well) and they offer several sauces so you can mix and match. Note that they charge a 3% fee if you use a credit card. I didn't know this until after I paid and got the receipt. If there was a notice near the register I missed it.

Tracy was super flexible - we changed the order up a few times and helped us decide exactly what we needed for our little party, and I also picked it up earlier than planned. No problems! The food was packed cleanly and efficiently, and there was no problem getting it home without spilling a gallon of baked beans in my Subaru. We had pulled pork, a specialty of the house, and the usual suspects for sides. They provide three different sauces from three distinct regions, which is great. A bunch of our guests were from Saint Louis, so the KC style sauce went fast. I'm partial to the mustard sauce because it is so unusual to find in this part of the country. They're all good. People also really liked the slaw. Everybody had a great time - but maybe ate a little too much! These guys are from GA, and know their way around a smoker. I will definitely be doing this again. Thanks!
