My wife and our two girls ate here the other day and we really enjoyed it. We started with the Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks and both were solid. For dinner we had the angel hair Bolognese, the sopressata pizza with that great Italian ham, and I had the polpette with meatballs. Everything tasted fantastic. The flavors were rich, fresh, and exactly what we were hoping for after a long day on the trail. Service was quick, efficient, and everyone inside was genuinely friendly. My cup was never empty and the staff stayed on top of everything without hovering. We were pretty excited to see a Neapolitan pizza and pasta restaurant in Moab. The reviews looked solid, and from what I remembered from our last visit many years ago, there were not many pizza options in town. We ordered the Salsiccia e Funghi, a sausage and mushroom pizza, along with the mussels in white wine sauce appetizer, homemade Italian cream sodas, and one additional limonata soda. The pizza was okay, but not the quality I would expect from a polished Neapolitan-style pizza place, especially at this price point. The mussels appetizer had potential because white wine sauce is exactly the kind of dish we usually enjoy with bread. Before ordering, I specifically asked about the bread because we like having enough to sop up the broth, the way you would expect at a good Italian restaurant. Our waitress said she would bring as much bread as we wanted. There were three of us, and the appetizer came with three pieces of bread. Given the earlier conversation, we later asked for three more pieces. The request seemed to bother her. When she delivered the extra bread, sensing her frustration, we said she could add it to the bill, and she told us she already had. That was frustrating because we had just discussed it before ordering. We were attempting to be more gracious, and she missed the mark with her response. She could have said ok, or thank you, or "no it's ok I told you could have as much bread as you wanted for the mussels" The mussels themselves were also uneven. Several had not opened during cooking, which is generally a sign that they should not be served or eaten. With mussels, the usual food-safety rule is: if they do not open during cooking, do not eat them. The FDA's consumer seafood guidance says clams, mussels, and oysters should open during cooking, and the ones that do not open should be thrown out. That made us question the quality control and preparation of the dish. The cream sodas were mixed. The berry version was delicious, but the mango version missed the mark. It was not sweet at all and tasted like the mango may not have been ripe. A little simple syrup, or ripe mango, would have helped a lot. The unripe mango soda ends up tasting a little like pine sol smells. We were also disappointed because the prices were more in line with what we would expect from a higher-quality meal. For the items noted above, plus one additional limonata soda, the meal came to over $60. I typically tip over 20%, but I took the extra bread charge off the tip, and the tip was still over 17%. Overall, this was not a terrible experience, but it was disappointing compared with what we were hoping for. The food had some good ideas, but several details felt off, and the service created a communication gap that left a bad impression. read more

We stopped in for lunch right when they opened and were actually the first customers of the day. It ended up being a great choice on a hot afternoon in Moab! To drink, I ordered the berry Italian soda and my husband had an Arnold Palmer. I really appreciated that they make both their iced tea and lemonade in-house because it made a huge difference--his drink was incredibly fresh and refreshing. We were originally thinking about ordering the meatball sandwich, but our server was honest and let us know the meatballs weren't fresh that day. I really appreciated her transparency instead of just serving it anyway. Based on her recommendation, we ordered the Chicken Parmesan Flatbread Sandwich, and it was fantastic! The only thing I'd suggest is ordering an extra side of marinara because it's so good you'll want more for dipping. I also had the pepperoni wood-fired pizza, which was delicious with a perfectly cooked crust and great flavor. They also have Parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, and other seasonings available at the table, which is always a nice touch. Ah, that satisfied the Pizza cravings. What I got a couple of items in a party of 2. Calamari, this was good, I thought it was nicely battered and fried. I had to try the homemade mozzarella and got the principessa, this was okay - I tasted more of the arugula than the cheese... The Pizza was very good, I got the confiding and this was veggies one. There were eggplants and olives and so. It was tasty, I thought the crust was a little on the thinner side but overall it was still good. The serving sizes were very big I thought, though the pizza was a personal size, I thought it was quite big and can be shared with another person. Environment Parking here was decent, there was quite a number of parking available, but I can see that it can get filled up pretty quick. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday. It was very busy - about 70% full inside - but we were seated right away. They state on their menu that the pizzas are personal size but they are not. They are 12" thin crust with 6 large slices each. I loved the taste but the crust was too thin and not well baked so I couldn't hold the slice, I had to use a knife and fork. The Cheesy Garlic Bread was good but could have used a bit more cheese and garlic. The Napoli Salad was really fresh and flavorful. I would get this again. Not sure how this place got over 4.2 rating, maybe it is their pizzas. Just had dinner here as it is one of the few places open till 10PM. We had the beet salad with chicken added as protein. The arugula was wilted, salad was small, mostly loaded with olives and little beets. The chicken was as dry as it could get. Chicken Parmesan was the other order. We got the pistachio pizza which was good and interesting - very different from what we've had before. The seafood pasta was very good and actually hot which made it enjoyable. The garlic cheesy bread was HEAVENLY after a long day. We could have eaten seven plates of just the bread. The pizzas were a great size, and we had plenty to share. Our server was prompt and attentive as well. However, I took off a star because it seemed like the outdoor furniture was somewhat lacking. Our table was wobbly and we had mismatched chairs, and we were seated under some hanging wires. The outdoor ambience could be a little better, but it didn't subtract from the overall experience and taste of the food. When asked about this and shown just how black it was, our server Linda informed us "well you got wood fired pizza". Now, our other pizzas were not this black on the bottom. Our server Linda did little to make our experience great from the very beginning, however the speed of service and the overall taste of the food was very good. My pizza was the onion and prosciutto pizza and the flavor was excellent. The only time she was friendly was when she was having us pay her on the machine where we put her tip. Some pasta and salads and drinks. We had a salad to share, custom pizza, and shrimp Alfredo and a soda. Food came fast and the pizza was very good. The pasta was $25 and just so so. We started off with some appetizers, Aranchi & Mozzarella Sticks! Pretty good, just wish they had Ranch, which they don't have. In Moab to see the sights, my girlfriend and I stopped into Antica Forma for dinner and were fantastically surprised! With a wide selection of beers and other alcoholic beverages to choose from, I opted for a local beer, the RoHa Brewery Back Porch Pale Ale and gladly gulped down this nectar of the Gods after a long day of hiking in the parks. For dinner, I opted for the Cotta personal pizza and loved every bite. I originally hoped to take some of it home, but that quickly faded as I found it too delicious to not eat there. Located on the main strip, Antica Forma has excellent service and the ambiance is uniquely Moab, with both inside and outside seating options. My husband ordered a salad. They completely screwed up his salad so back it went. They bring it out again but without any dressing and it still wasn't right but close enough for him to accept it. But because it took so long to get his salad our pizza's came out with the salad. Would have been nice to enjoy the salad first. We were fortunate to get a spot in the parking lot and a table on the patio (which was almost full when we were seated). Given the reviews of Antica Forma, we were expecting amazing pizza. We ordered the fresh mozzarella (which was good), the chicken parmigiana and the salciccia pizza. The chicken parmigiana was solid, but the pizza was pretty disappointing as the bottom of the pizza was quite soggy. Service was fast and we were able to get in and out quickly. read more
