I recently stopped in while being in town for the holidays. My sister is getting married in 2025 and had yet to even look at dresses so we were hoping to just walk in and take a look at what was on the rack. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by a rather frazzled woman claiming they were too busy to help us and we could potentially come back the next day or later if they had a cancellation. She then quickly ran away to help someone else and we were left standing in the entrance. Thankfully Sabrina was just getting off of a phone call and said she could show us to the sizes and have a look, she just wouldn't be available to help us pull anything since there was another client she was helping, which was fine by us, again we just wanted to have a peek at what was available. After sifting though a few racks we found a dress my sister was willing to try on and when Sabrina was walking past she was able to quickly direct us to a fitting room and sitting area with a large mirror we could use. She was still with another client, but said if we could get her zipped up ourselves we were welcome to have the Bride try on the dress. After Sabrina was done with her client she proceeded to help us find a veil and tiara to go with the dress and helped us wrap everything up at the desk in the front. Sabrina is an absolutely wonderful associate and really did her best to balance all her clients and still help us out as a walk-in. Granted, we did most of the work and gave the shop a pretty low-effort sale, but the woman that was initially trying to shoo us out of the shop certainly left a bad taste in the mouth. read more

Bought prom dress, for Bearden High Prom. Called the next day, no one got back to me, called again and no one called me back. Took dress to alterations, it was defective, took to another alteration lady she said the same thing. This was an expensive dress, couldn't sell with such a bad defect!! It's sitting in the closet and I'm out $$530.00. Had to buy another dress for her. DON'T ever trust them, they tell you the dress is perfect when it's not and never call you back!! I think this is the best store in town if you are looking for a prom/formal gown that is completely unique and different from all the rest. Also the best store if you are looking for a FULL sales rack. If you are a petite bride you will have a lot of luck!!! It's also the best store in town if you are a plus size bride. The best store for budget brides. The best store if you want to experiment with accessories; jewels, hairpieces, sashes, etc. They could use a few more belts and veils but they have the right space and bling to give you ideas. The customer service is great. I so appreciated Jackie being so easy and straightforward to work with. No fuss. The fitting room could use a lot more work. I couldn't imagine having a better wedding dress shopping experience! First off, the store is decorated so cutely with perfect spots to take pictures with your dress crew. I really like that they only take you (the bride) back to pick out at least your first couple of dresses because let's be honest.....who knows what they want better than the bride? There are endless dress options with a range of prices. I think the price of the dresses were extremely fair. My family and friends were comfortable and treated well. My consultant Ms. Britney was amazing, so sweet, supportive, and extremely helpful. I said YES to the dress, a veil, and my wedding day earrings. I give this shop 3 stars for a few reasons, first , all of their dresses are in giant bags and super hard to seee since most of them were not hung properly. Our sales gal was nice but she wasn't really helpful with clipping me in to help me determine if i liked the dress. I feel like this shop has alot of potential to be better, but the bags over the dresses was not good at all. read more

Just wondering what gives this place to remove tags off the dress after it's purchased. You buy the dress and get home and tags are removed. call them only for them to say they have to remove. This sure wasn't listed on the contract I've never bought anything that they remove tags. read more

What a wonderful staff. We visited a few weeks ago and my future daughter in law truly enjoyed the experience. Fast forward a week...we visited another bridal store and all I will say in this review was the experience was not a good one...I called the gilded gown at 6 p.m. and asked if we had time to run down before they closed and look at a few of the dresses from last week. Not only did they accommodate us but they stayed open about an hour late so that we could find a dress! We said"yes" to the dress and I say a big yes for the Gilded Gown! I called to ask if they carried a certain size in prom gowns and they told me that they had several in stock!!! I was so happy. I made an appointment and shared the news with my family. We drove down to try on the dress(es). When we walked in the store was beautiful. We were greeted by a young lady who sent us to desk in the back. We walked to the back and waited for someone to come to the desk. after about 5 minutes a young lady came up and told us to come back and she'd get us a rack to pull dresses. She showed us where the size we needed was located. We started looking through the dresses and not one dress was the size I had called about. We still chose a few to just see how they fit. In the dressing room with a sister to help get her dressed she went. I noticed the girls around us had a consultant who help pick out the dresses, and put it on. Not us. They kept staring back at us and whisper to each other a couple times. After she tried a dress on that needed a different size I went to ask for help. I was told they only had what was on the rack, which is normal. I ask who made the dress thinking I could order it online. The tag was cut out. The girl said that they do that because these are one of a kind dresses and they were also samples that may not be made next year. (Anyway the dress was 679.00 at the store. I found it online for half the price!) After I ask about the dress I then ask why we didn't have a consultant. They all said they thought the other one was helping us. I ask about the dresses in the size I needed not being available on the rack. They said we haven't had any in that size yet this year. Probably will not get any. I was upset. We drove 2 1/2 hours and they didn't have what they said they did. We where treated differently from everyone else. I think it was needing a special dress size and the fact I was in a wheelchair. I went in this bridal boutique to find a veil. The girl was so patient and nice! She helped me put my dress on and we tried on a couple veils and we found the perfect veil! It ended up being half off so that was a plus! They had some many beautiful veils in there. Everyone was super nice and willing to help. I highly recommend this place! read more

This is the best place to get your wedding dress, Tequila, the lady who helped us said that she's been there for 10 years and was amazing with us! She was patient and let us stay for 3 hours trying to pick out a dress, she was always right there beside us too, always helping me pick out a veil or fix my dress. SHE WAS AMAZING! at David's Bridal they only give you an hour to pick out your dress, which in my opinion was not enough, then the David's bridal lady would run off and we wouldn't see her for 10 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend The Guilded Gown for any bride to be! I made an appointment to look/try on bridal gowns. Then entire staff was so nice and accommodating without ever making me feel pressured to buy. The first dress I tried on ended up being the dress I purchased but after trying it on I still tried on 10 others to be sure.. since a wedding dress is a big purchase and a very important part. I ended up calling the shop after I left and purchasing my dress through their layaway program, which is super helpful when you don't have the entire amount ready for your dress. read more

The ladies and staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and make fun dress suggestions I wouldn't have chosen myself but loved when I saw them on the runway. When I arrived, no one was there to greet me and my party. We had to walk all the way to the back of the store to finally be greeted by an employee. We did not receive assistance when selecting dresses, trying on dresses, or information on the style/material etc as we I was exhibiting them to my party. Furthermore, when I found a dress that I really liked on the display mannequin, I had already observed and noted that it was my bridal size (12). When I asked the employee to take it off so I could try it on, she told me it was a 6, would not fit me and walked away. I am very disappointed in the customer care, or lack there'd that be and my party received. If this had been my first visit of the day, that would've set a very gloomy tone for an experience that's supposed to be exciting and welcoming.
