I am in LOVE! I found Nicolette on Yelp and after seeing pictures of her work I just had to make an appointment! I called her and she did a consult over the phone. She booked me within a few days of contacting her. I had to drive around the block twice before I found the salon. It's located in the courtyard. It also took me some time to find the public parking structure behind the salon. That was probably because I'm challenged when it comes to directions! Within minutes I was talking to Nicolette as if I had known her forever. She took her time and paid attention to detail. I'm really picky when it comes to people touching my hair and she was extremely patient the entire time. I got a trim, color melt, and a brazilian blowout. Even without the Groupon her prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of service & quality of work. My hair turned out looking so SHINY & healthy. I am beyond pleased with my experience and definitely plan to return. In fact, I texted Nicolette today to see if she could squeeze my sister in and she was able to schedule her for tomorrow. I did my first blowout during the Living Social deal in November with Kristen, and she did an AWESOME job. It lasted 5 months! I just got my next one done, and will be purchasing the Groupon to get another one when this one is out! Appointments were very easy to schedule, Kristen has is easy to talk to, and it is a really cute salon. I have very thick hair and Kristen worked magic with it! My procedure was just a wash, blow dry, apply the solution, and then flat iron. And it lasted 5 MONTHS!!! read more

I just made my appointment to get another Brazillian Blowout. I previously had it done back in July and it has lasted well over 6 months. Jaime, is amazing! She remembered me (and I haven't been back since July) and is giving me a great deal. I would highly recommend The Glam Box Salon, bar none!! I purchased the Brazilian Blowout through Groupon. After purchasing it, I went to the Glam Box Salon's website to read about them. I found their home page, etc. to be quite professional and very nicely done with lots of information. I went onto Yelp and read their reviews and agree with all the 4-5 star-rated ones and disagree with any (I believe there was one, possibly two) that was less than that - and this is why: (1) First, let me say my experience was WONDERFUL and I will be a regular, repeat customer because it was so wonderful! (2) Granted, they are very busy with the tremendous success of their ads (whichever they be: Living Social and/or Groupon) - any of us that purchased these GREAT deals .... uhhh, hello???!? Why do you think they're soooooo busy??? [That would be you and me ..... and all those others.....] I think there was over 100+ sold BECAUSE they were SO GREAT!!!! (2) These hairstylists at this salon handle their own calls and appointments - therefore, if you don't get an answer and/or a return phone call in what you feel is a timely manner - DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! If you want a [fairly immediate] appointment, think outside the box!!! - they have an email address on their home page - USE IT! I did and got a response and an appointment right away and didn't have to wait for a return phone call at 11 pm when they were done with their last appointment as they're trying to fit us all in!!! (BTW, they won't call @ 11 pm - that would be rude and inconsiderate!) Make contact a different way rather then leaving a ton of telephone messages [and make rude comments about them not being returned!] Your calls have NOT fallen on deaf ears. Put yourself in their shoes and see if you'd be able to handle their volume any differently and return all the calls the very same day between 8-8? So, here's some ideas to any of you experiencing frustration regarding making an appointment: (a) email them (again, their email address is on their website under "contact", (b) send a text message to the number listed [that way they can send you a response even when it's midnight and they're finally done with their appointments and you're fast asleep! (c) stop by their salon and physically make an appointment with them personally! - hey, there's an idea!!?! Any of these ways will work if you want to make a successful appointment and get one that you (and your stylist) will be happy with. And trust me, I can speak of Kristin, as she is the one who worked with me and did my hair - she is wonderful, well worth whatever wait you may have [if you have one] and does an excellent job! I see great reviews regarding Jamie also! In one day: [On a Tuesday] I called one time, left a message - went onto the salon's website, found contact info, clicked on their email address and got a response, which I got the next morning [Wed]. The rest is history and I had a booked appointment (with Kristin) Friday evening set on MY schedule. It was better than wonderful and I love my hair!!! read more

I haven't gone to a professional hair salon in many years, but decided I would give it a try again. I was very tentative about scheduling an appointment since I have never gotten a brazilian blowout or balayage before. However, I am very happy that I finally decided to schedule an appointment with Nicolette to get a cut, balayage, and brazilian blowout. Nicolette was extremely easy to get in contact with. She was very personable and easy to talk to. I had an idea of how I wanted my hair, but was not completely sure so she gave me helpful input. Throughout the whole process, she worked with me to show me different colors to make sure I got what I wanted. She continually asked how I was doing to make sure I was feeling comfortable. I liked how she explained exactly what she was doing throughout the process as well and frequently asked whether I was happy with the results. If not, she seemed more than willing to redo it to make sure I was happy with it. Thankfully, Nicolette is very skilled and I was very pleased with the results. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would definitely schedule another appointment with Nicolette in the future! read more

I was introduced to the Glam Box salon through a Groupon purchase I made for a Brazilian Blowout. My first visit was approximately 9 months ago, and today was my second visit, two separate Groupon purchases for a Brazilian Blowout. Each time the stylist has been Kristen Luzzi. I called to make an appointment and the great thing is you can text the stylist to set-up an appointment. The salon is located in downtown redlands in a very nice retail European feel center. Each visit was by appointment only, but any professional establishment works this way. I did my research and read the reviews and looked to see how many Groupon's were sold to determine how soon I can make an appointment. The Glam Box salon sold approximately 150 Groupon's, so each time I called I left a message, but being a busy person myself and knowing how busy they must be with the amount of Groupons sold, I followed-up my call with a text, which was a great method of communication because Kristen responded when available. The salon itself is decorated nicely and Kristen is professional, but down to earth and casual. Each time I met with Kristen we had great conversation as if we were old friends. She is quick to offer water or coffee to add the "at home feeling". On my first visit I only had the brazilian blowout, but today I had the brazilian blow out, color and cut. Kristen did a magnificent job each time. I love my hair. We were the only ones in the salon, so you get her undivided attention. She did not take any phone calls while working on my hair, which is wonderful; made me feel as if my hair was her priority. Another great thing is Kristen does not try to sell you the hair products in the salon. She is great to make recommendations, but is never forceful. I can definitely say Kristen is a great stylist and my brazilian blowout looks amazing (actually my cut and color too). I guess you can't make everybody happy, so there are negative reviews on Yelp, which is the motivator behind my review, but I'm hoping my review will at least help you make an informed decision. I would definitely say to give Glam Box Salon (Kristen Luzzi) a try. read more
