Every visit, she offers a coffee and asks if we need anything. In a pinch, she will always go out of her way to accommodate us if we have a scheduling problem or need some urgent attention. Carola Ladd is a great hair dresser , she was worked there for over 25 years. She is a specialist in hair coloring and the latest in styles. I have been to several weddings that she does all the hair and makeup for the wedding parties. Booked with Cassandra. Had an overall awful experience and bad result. I had scheduled "root retouch" on her website which listed the price as $55. As soon as i sat on the chair her attitude was awful and very critical over my hair and my job. She took 3+ hours for a root retouch and once I asked if we could finish soon she rushed and didn't finish letting the toner process so I walked out with half assed hair. When I messaged her about it she told me I had not finished paying the full amount and showed me all the additional fees she added. If the price estimate is different than what is listed it HAS to be communicated. She does NOT communicate her prices and drops a bomb on you so even though her prices look great on the website she up charges you for the smallest things. I called the same day and they were able to squeeze me in within the hour. Anna did my haircut and it was amazing! I had damage to the last inches of my hair and she cut off the split ends without taking off too much length. I went in with high hopes and hair that was not bleached or dyed in anyways with Clean canvas in hopes that I would be able to get my hair done for commencement. I mentioned to Carola how I historically lift brassy when bleached. We agreed on baby lights and that she would be able to do my hair and not have it brassy by lifting carefully. Carola curled my hair at the end and I left. I saw my hair in the mirror when attempting to put it up right after and saw stripes of brass that wasn't even blended in. I went back and she told me that it's suppose to be like that and that it's not orange. That the stripes are normal for baby lights. Unfortunately that doesn't explain the spots. She attempted to fix the worst of it but unfortunately it didn't fix the whole problem. I hoped to have wonderful hair and instead I paid 245 dollars to come out looking like a striped and spotted poof ball. read more

I got my hair done today with Cassandra and I had asked for a balayage and I even showed her a picture of how I kind of wanted except not as light and this is how it came out. I would have preferred her to say that she didn't know how to do it. I also asked for my hair to be cut straight and even, this is obviously not straight. I cried of how upset I was, it's honestly ridiculous how it came out. I have never had a bad hair experience as bad as this one. read more

I took my wife here today. She doesn't want me to post this but I'm the one that paid. Stylist was 30 minutes late. We spent 6 1/2 hours here. She wanted blonde highlights, but when we left, I don't think she looks any different for 6.5 hours and $375+tip. Not pleased at all. I don't see a speck of blonde although 4 hours was bleach. She was blonde for about 10 minutes then the stylist took her to the sink and, BOOM, brunette again. Wasted my money and time. Stylist was Andrea Adame Sheppard. If you have free time and extra money and want to leave the same way you walked in, great choice. Not even in the ballpark of what she was asking for. I loved the atmosphere of this salon, very lively and great energy! However, my hair turned out nothing like how I wanted it and it also didn't look like my reference photo. The color was extremely streaky and as you can see in the pictures it is not blended. It also came out really brassy. The stylist was really kind and did a great job with the haircut though. Ten years ago my friend gave me a gift card for Wild Hair. The first time I went I was pleased with the results of my haircut. I dropped in the next time but the hairdresser I used the first time was not there. Claudia was available so I let her cut my hair which has built into a friendship. Two years into our relationship I took my daughter for her first haircut. I have pretty much used Cladia for the last 10 years for both of us. I've even referred her to a few other mom's that continue to use her as well. She is very good with kids and makes them feel important and is very patient with them. This salon, though small and inconspicuous, is one of the best places I've been to. After trying several salons in Redlands, I finally came upon this one. While it may not appear to be as trendy as, say, Paramount Designs that's located just down the street, you will definitely NOT have to wait around for an appointment for weeks ahead of time. I will sometimes call in just a few days ahead and be able to find a spot in my stylist's schedule. The service there is really nice. The receptionist on the phone is always friendly and helpful in scheduling you in. And when you turn up for your appointment, the staff really takes care of you. If you're a bit early and have to wait for a few minutes, they will offer you a drink and bring it over to you while you relax on one of their couches. Really quite considerate. And I couldn't be more pleased with my stylist - Randal. He always does wonders with my hair. He doesn't mind going a bit conservative with my cut, if I tell him I'll be going on interviews or meeting with the folk in the near future. But he also loves to "play" with my hair - and style it a bit more edgy if he knows I'll be meeting friends for drinks later in the day. Very fun, creative, and friendly. I'll recommend this place to anyone who is annoyed at having to put up with "so-busy-I-can't-do-anything-but-put-you-on-hold" receptionists and who is willing to try a smaller salon, with a more personal attitude. read more

This rating is both for the girl that gave me my massage and for the atmosphere of the salon as well as the customer service. I didn't get a haircut or any other services, so I can't rate that. The girl who gave me the massage was named Jackie, and she was sooooooooo good. Not only was she actually really good at the massage, she was extremely sweet and was always making sure the pressure was right and that I was doing okay. If I hadn't moved, I'd be a regular. The people in the whole salon seemed really nice and it was like it's own little world in there. They had complementary cappuccinos too I think. The waiting area was comfy too. After my hair dresser of 10 years passed away I had no choice but to find a new one...I had no idea where to even begin so my neighbor had highly recommended Randall Parker at The Wild Hair. So after many months of attempting to cut my own hair and quite frankly not doing a very good job of it I made an appointment with Randall. The Wild Hair was very clean, the receptionist was so friendly and Randall greeted me within 5 minutes as if he had known me for a lifetime. I explained to him that I didn't care what he did with it..... That if I liked it I would keep him forever if not he would be fired.... With that said... I know it wasn't very nice but he took it quite well..... He decided go conservative atleast for the first time or two so we can learn each other and he could learn my hair..... The outcome was fabulous, I absolutely LOVE it.... He was so patient and kind with me, he layered it all around and fixed all my bad cuts that I did myself.... I've been going to Aubrie for my facials, waxing, and massages. That girl does it all and does it all well! She's so great about working with you and pays a ton of respect to what you want. I wanted less chemicals in my skin care routine and she's hooked me up with a ton of excellent products that fit that bill and works them into my facials. Robbi was recommended to me by my MIL. She's been going to him for 9+ years and I was in the market for a new hairdresser. He did not disappoint!! I have never dyed my full head, just sections so I was a little nervous but he took care of me! I showed him pictures of the idea I was going for but over all gave him creative freedom. My natural hair is the darkest brown, just before black. I wanted to go lighter not too drastic and we did just that. I also got some beautiful caramel highlights and when I first saw it in the mirror while he was drying me off I couldn't stop smiling. I don't even remember the name of the lady that cut my hair. It was something like Caralyn. Although she was a nice lady, she definitely did not know how to cut hair and nor did she care. The cut took about 10 minutes. I wanted to re-layer my hair, but now it is all choppy. She didn't ask me if it looked ok, she just started to curl it to cover up the mistakes she made. There were barely any layers. It was a careless cut that my friend could have done. It cost me $35. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Close your eyes when getting your hair combed by Darla. She uses a fine-tooth comb on wet hair and will stab you in the eye (and thinks it's funny and doesn't apologize). She's lucky I had my eye closed because I'd be suing her ass right now otherwise. Also, don't go to her if you are new here and want your roots hightlighted. (blond in my case) It won't match the rest of your hair! Now I have to go somewhere else and pay more money to get this shit fixed! She's a quack of a hairdresser. read more

I generally don't give reviews but must on this salon. I recently just moved here & was looking for a new stylist for myself & my daughter. I thought I'd try this place since it looked cute & I loved the name. When I called to make my appt I explained to the person on the phone that I had thick, curly hair & wanted a stylist who knew how to work with that type of hair. She suggested 1 lady who had tons of experience but she was busy the day I wanted to come in so she put me with someone else, on a totally different day. I dunno that seemed weird but I assumed that the other person also had experience with curly hair. I got there 5mins early for my appt & spent a good 15mins looking at their products before anyone even acknowledged me. At that point I was finally greeted by Claudia who was to be doing my hair. She took me to her station which was like a HALF station right in front of the shampoo bowls which was very awkward. I had booked an appt for a treatment & a haircut. The treatment seemed like nothing more then a weekly conditioning treatment I do at home. The haircut was nothing that I asked for, or implied what I wanted. In fact, it was HARDLY a haircut!!! She literally trimmed my ends only, No style. Not even shaping my hair so that it would seem like it was cut. When She was blowing it out I asked if she was going to still cut more? She actually had the nerve to tell me I needed to grow out the layers that I wanted cut. HELLO???? That was why I went in there...to get my HAIRCUT!!!! With layers!! (these layers are past my chin mind you.) On top of all this, she also has a very condescending way about her which I don't appreciate. I had actually given her benefit of the doubt & booked an appt with her for my daughter. However, once I got home & washed my hair to look at the cut, OMG it's as if she didn't do a single thing but cut about 1/2 inch from the ends when I specifically booked an appt for a full HAIRCUT & style. I tipped her 30% too just because I believe in tipping well. I was more then willing to be a big money client for her with myself & my daughter whom both of us do colors & cuts regularly but I will never go there again, or spend one dollar there. I'd much rather drive into Los Angeles to get our hair cut & colored by a true professional that knows all the current haircuts & tricks. read more
