We came here looking for something new and exciting! Unfortunately, we were disappointed. However, I must say the SERVER STAFF was amazing! The manager however never made it to the table to check on us after I had to send my steak back TWICE for an improperly cooked $30 steak dish. (Which we paid for, even though we definitely shouldn't have). The corn ribs were delicious. However they put all of the toppings on the corn cob side instead of the corn side so you didn't get to have any of the sauces unless you drug the corn ribs through the sauce instead of just pouring it straight onto the corn. Bad ranch can kill a restaurant and this was one of the worst ranches I've ever had in my entire life. It tasted like it came straight out of the fat, free off-brand discount bottle. My husband ordered The Goat burger. The patty was dry and overcooked (we asked for medium and got well done). It says it comes with sauces and it didn't have but a small amount of sauce on it. The fried onion on the burger and the waffle fries on the side were both soft and not fried long enough. My husband isn't the kind of person to send it back, but he hated it. I, however, do send things back because I've worked in restaurants for decades and because I have bariatric surgery which has specific food needs; Over-done steak doesn't digest in my system and can make me very sick. The first time I received my steak it was overcooked and was closer to medium/medium well than medium rare, lots of grey. I let my waitress know I have a special food need and requested they try to make it medium-rare. When they returned the steak, it was two new pieces simply rolled around on the grill for just a few seconds, and when it was set on my table i cut into it and it was nearly completely raw. Even my waitress was stunned. We sent it back, again. This time, instead of cooking it correctly they just continued to sear it, and the outside of the steak became far too tough. The image in this review is the third try, and the closest we could get but you can see the gristle, the heavy sear and how unevenly cooked the pieces were, once sliced open. It was so disappointing. Especially when you're hungry. Not to mention once we did finally try a piece, the flavor was also bad. These definitely didn't even look like the family of filet mignon. They were extremely gristly and by far the worst steak I've had since living here. My suggestions are to get a better cut of steak, make your steaks thinner, slow-cook them, or find a someone who knows how to cook a steak. If you want to turn and burn a steak, this steak is not it. But you need to find a steak that works for your business. If you want to know who makes GREAT steaks, Fantail, down the street makes them buttery soft and they are actually the steaks they say that they are. The next day we tried to make the steak for breakfast and the next day does not look like a fillet mignon or even close to it. Will never be returning, but wish them the best. I just need to warn the world, this is not the place to go, yet. Maybe someday but the spiteful message sent to our table from the kitchen was enough for us to never want to return. Don't get me wrong I'm sure they're really nice people outside of this but there's no place in the restaurant businesses for a chef to overcook a steak and then send you a raw steak out of spite. read more

Checked out the menu before stopping in and had high hopes. Simply put, it was a waste of $71 and I would not suggest anyone else go. Should have realized when we pulled up and the parking lot had less than 10 cars that it wasn't a popular place. The hostess was nice enough to clean a booth for us so we didn't have to sit at a high top. Props to her. Sat down and waited for the waitress, then orders a couple teas and a glass of wine. For $3.50 (okay, $3.49) for a small iced tea I wanted to make sure to get a couple of refills. That didn't happen because the first refill took way too long. The meals we ordered were all straight forward and simple. Yet one was incorrectly garnished and the other two overcooked. Didn't bother saying anything because getting the waitress to return to our table for anything took a while and I was already frustrated. I could see the kitchen staff leaned against the prep stations and if they had that much extra time they could have focused on making the meals correctly. There were 3-4 other people working but it seems like they all would rather stand by the bar area while one guy cleaned it. So that's my take on GOAT. It was completely disappointing. read more

this was our first visit to the GOAT. We were greeted and seated immediately. A very pleasant server, Makenzie, came to our table. She was very pleasant and helpful. She gave us a number of dinner suggestions. Of her favorites, my wife chose the GOAT burger with sweet potato fries. Makenzie suggested she try a bourbon dip for the fries as well. I chose the Fiery Salmon Bowl. It took some time for dinner to be served but we had ordered after a large table of customers had recently ordered. I get the delay. The food came, it looked great. The GOAT burger looked great. My Salmon Bowl looked delicious. It had a very nice piece of salmon on top. The food tasted as good as it looked. We visited the Goat Bar & Grill for drinks and appetizers unfortunately we were met with utter disappointment. The customer service was also subpar as we explained the soft drinks were flat and lacked carbonation and flavor. Were told that was inaccurate and the staff had tested for themselves. Three people at our table tasted and/ordered the soft drinks. We then decided to try an alcohol beverage. The drinks were also not made well. The drink did not include all of the ingredients listed on the menu or at least not quality. When asked about the strawberry purée and presentation we were told the ingredients had been substituted due to complaints from customers of real fruit being too chunky. However, the drinks tasted as if they had been mixed with club soda and seltzer. The waitress through her hands up and called the manager over and after explaining the situation to him it was seemingly dismissed as if we were making it all up. The manager did agree to remove the sodas from the tab and to remake the drinks. I'm not sure it would've made any difference if you're following a house recipe and using the same ingredients. There were two different beverages made both were left untouched as it was insufferable to drink. We paid the tab for the appetizers and alcohol; however, I will not be returning to the restaurant. The pizza was cold, dough wasn't completely cooked, fries weren't fully cooked, wings weren't fresh, covered with an unusual amount of sauce and the nachos were terrible. Drinks were dropped off and then once the appetizer came we didn't see her again and had to get up to ask for service. It is very rare that I leave a one star review. Our server was very patient with us. The bartender on the other hand... we had ordered two margarita flights on National margarita day. We almost didn't get our flights because they had run out of the glasses they used for them. We ordered our food and our food came before the flights. The food was terrible. It was all frozen from a bag and reheated. I ordered boneless wings (first mistake) and fries. They were room temperature and overly breaded. My friend ordered a pizza and it was a frozen pizza and the size that should be on the kids menu. A couple other friends ordered burgers and they were just basic flavorless burgers. We still hadn't received our flights by the time we were done eating. We ordered separate drinks while waiting for the flights. By the time the flights did come I asked to cancel my other drink since the flights came. Apparently the bartender was very impatient with our table and expressed that to our waiter. It was our waiter's first week. They were the nastiest margaritas I've ever had. They tasted like straight mixer and were way too sweet. We came on karaoke night (we were in town for work and didn't know it was karaoke night when we chose this night to go), so it was so loud and everyone in there was utterly obnoxious.
