My baby was in the infant class, and I have serious doubts about the professionalism of the staff there, as well as their certifications and background checks. A worker repeatedly pushed my baby down into the crib while she was trying to arch her back and lift herself up. On another occasion, my baby was left crying in a high chair for over ten minutes with no one attending to her, then was wheeled into the kitchen area facing away from the camera -- seemingly to keep this out of view. When my baby dropped her pacifier on the floor, the worker put it right back to her mouth without even rinsing it off. This is even more troubling given that their "no shoes" policy to the infant room is essentially not enforced -- I personally witnessed multiple people walking through the infant room in outdoor shoes with no intervention from staff. When I raised these concerns with the head teacher, Joycelyn, and the blonde woman at the front desk, I was met with attitude and dismissiveness rather than a genuine response. The moment I saw how they handled a legitimate concern, I took my baby home and never went back. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. Look up this facility's public licensing record via New Jersey Child Care Explorer. As of this writing, the facility has three complaints on public record -- including one describing a staff member repeatedly pushing down on an infant's head, similar to what my own child experienced. There's also a broader pattern of noncompliance, and the facility currently holds a Temporary license rather than a Regular one. That's a meaningful red flag worth weighing seriously -- not just a paperwork technicality.

Everything I was looking for of the ideal poster image daycare. Both classrooms (1s and 2s); large & spacious, with sections for play, reading , lunch/craft table, and diaper changes/toileting; every child had there own cubby area w/ coat hook and bin (that have their facial picture and their names - cute touch!). Price Tag: Ideal = costly. The school tuition is expensive, however there are two perks; tuition includes blankets and all meals. You supply the typical stuff -- diapers and wipes (ointment, etc). There are additional classes called Learning Adventures (offered for an additional fee $50 per child), I signed my kids up for Music, which in my opinion was a waste of money. My children never hymned or sung the songs they learned at home. At the school they attend now, they do. The teachers there all seemed very nice and pleasant. Class size moderate 2:10 (varies each day). Staff: Stacey DeMarco, the school's director is very nice, however, you will not be dealing with her most of the time. It will be either Kristin, whom is the Asst Director and/or Megan, renamed the Program Specialist -- those two were not always the most personable or easy to talk to. In my opinion, that can make or break a school, and it definitely played a part with me removing my kids. Credentials: The school was in the final stages of becoming NAEYC accredited, which by now they are. However, the overall education factor wasn't there for me. I was looking for more of a preschool setting, with curriculum and pre-K preparation. It appeared to be more Playtime oriented, 1 and 2 year olds play, yes, but not all day, that didn't sit well with me. Other Stuff: There is definitely a nice diversified mix of kids. However, some of those kids displayed signs of biting, and also very sickly. My children were getting sick very frequently at this school; the policy they adhere to is the State's policy, so only if the child(ren) are feverish, has diarrhea, and/or vomiting -- will the children's parents be called to pick up a child. My daughter was sick and no one ever called me to tell me she was or appeared to be ill (i.e. watery eyes, runny nose, looked pail -- a teacher, and one who is a mother, should definitely be able to pick up on those signs). When a parent calls and everything is always fine or great, that raises an eyebrow for me, especially when its week one and two, and this is their first time going to school.

Miss Karol has always been special to Cooper but he also is thriving with her new teacher, Miss Wendy since he moved up to the Toddler class. Everbrook Academy Closter is a wonderful, clean and caring establishment and our son is thriving here.

I sent my daughter to The Goddard at Paramus from October 2019 till January 2020, from that period of time my daughter got SICK inumerous of times, lots of visits to the doctor's office and Urgent care, she had a virus every other week, for the first time my 4 year old had to take antibiotics a very healthy kid who barely got sick before. She started in September with three full days a week and loved it so much her parents increased her to five days. This was her very first time away from home, and the teachers were incredibly kind and reassuring. We were worried in the beginning about how she would adjust, but they sent sweet photos of her being comforted and held, and thanks to their warmth and patience, she adjusted beautifully. Before long, she was eagerly looking forward to school each day! She adores all the special classes, but music with Miss Momo on Fridays is definitely her favorite. One of the highlights of the year was the holiday show they performed for the families. Seeing those little ones dressed as elves, singing, and shaking their instruments putting their whole hearts into it was absolutely precious. Our granddaughter has truly blossomed at Palisades Preschool. She's become quite the social butterfly and talks all the time about her friends at school. The teachers often send photos and videos during the day, and it's so clear from those big smiles that the kids are having the time of their lives while learning and growing. On days that I pick her up from school, I'm amazed at how joyful and excited all the children are at Palisades Preschool. It's been such a wonderful year, and while we're a little sad to see it end, we're thrilled she'll be joining the summer camp and moving on to the 3s class this fall.
