As an early childhood educational professional and parent I can assure you that sending your child to The Learning Experience in Englewood Cliffs would be a very smart move. The staff in the twaddler (2's) room where my student is are top notch. The teachers are caring, efficient, nurturing and provide a positive learning environment and the administration runs a tight ship. When I come in they make sure I sign in and have a visitor badge. I go to many daycares and I do not see this type of security at any of them. If I was looking in the area for childcare this school would be my number one choice. read more

I have 2 of my babies here (2 and 4) for a bit over a year now (minus a covid related break). We are blessed to have this daycare. The teachers and staff there are so nice, caring, and loving. My kids are genuinely happy going there, and when I pick them up, they are always so happy. While I think the curriculum is great, I am really more happy that my older one is more free thinking and creative. He doesn't always say the most obvious of things, but kind of clever - I believe it is just the atmosphere TLE provides - they teach, but aren't overbearing/strict. There are boundaries and rules, but it isn't like the kids are boxed in in their thinking. I think anyone will benefit having their children come here. read more

I moved to Fort Lee last year and my son who is npw almost 5 has been attending this Learning Experience location. We love the school and the staff. Miss Ivette and Miss Antonella usually greet in the morning and are very polite and always welcoming. My son shows his books to Miss Ivette everyday and she makes it a point to acknowledge it! my kid loved it there as he attended TLE since he was about 10 months old but as he grew older we noticed that he hated going there every single day so some days my wife and i would wait outside his class to see how teachers treated our kid, granted they do a good job but seeing like 20 kids to 3 teachers, well it looked as if they had a tough time handling all those kids, sometimes just outright ignore them as there are just too many kids to take care of. After my kid turned 3 years old, he now attends preschool and has been in love with the place ever since. I do recommend this place if one just wants their kid to stay safe until a parent comes back from work but it would be unreasonable to expect too much in terms of care or education from TLE. read more

We absolutely miss the teachers and staff here. They Cared for our kids for almost 3 years. We only left because we moved. The classrooms are clean and kid friendly. The administration are quick to address your issues. I can't say enough about how truly kind and caring the teachers are. Our daughter would call Ms Wilma, grandma and she took it with love. My daughters started attending TLE months before the pandemic, and I was skeptical about them going back. But knowing that TLE's top priority is keeping it clean, sanitized and safe gave me a piece of mind. The TLE app that provides parents with pictures and updates about what your little one is doing, also puts me at ease. The staff is friendly and patient. The hours of operation (6:30am- 6:30pm) was also a major plus for me. They provide snacks and lunches which helps me a lot. My daughter just graduated from TLE. She grew up in this center almost all her life, from 8 months until now 5 years old. My daughter loved the school. The teachers are like family and they love kids. The facility is new and super clean and the toys are sanitized all the time. Breakfast & Lunch are served by school so it is an easy morning to send kids to school. (They have veggie options for kids meals.) Using the TLE app, they send parents how your kids are doing at school with pictures everyday which is a great system. I also love the diversity in this school and the fact that the teachers are from all over the world. My daughter is half japanese and I was thinking of changing schools to make her learn Japanese. I was torn about making the decision because my daughter loves the school. I talked to Lisa(Owner) and she hired Japanese teachers so she actually had a Japanese teacher when she was 3-4 years old. That helped her learn Japanese. I appreciate Lisa because she listens to our concerns or wishes and tries to make things work for us. I am glad that I trusted Lisa. TLE has been one of the best decisions I've made for my child, she's blossomed so much since she's been attending the Tenafly location. She's talking much more when she comes home, expressing herself more, and she's even picked up on some gestures for sign language. I have to say, this school is really good. Teachers and staff are very loving. My daughter has been with the school since she's 4 months. 2 years later she's still there. My daughter loves going to school. They always greet you with a smile and always show they care. The owner Lisa is wonderful. She loves each and every kid that goes there. Ms. Adrianna, Ms. Tiffany, Ms. Annie, and Ms. Eydi are great. Ms Antonella and Ms. Annette work at the front and they are great. Overall I would recommend this school to anyone. I like the TLE because I can feel that my son Jacob is loved at this place. I don't know if he's getting the best education for his age but due to the fact that my wife and I are busy and cannot spend time with him as much as we would like, I feel there is nothing better for a 2 year old toddler to be loved by his teachers as much as he is at home. With the beginning of a new semester, he had said goodbye to his old teachers who actually showed Tears in their eyes and they had to say goodbye. It was a touching moment I don't know if it's because he is our first, but to see and feel how much he is appreciated at is daycare was I guess all I needed to see to trust TLE. She looks forward to going to school everyday and it's a sigh of relief. TLE is the 4th daycare that our daughter has attended and by far our favorite. After an exhaustive search for daycare services, the first center we attended was in Fair Lawn. It provided everything we wanted, had great facilities, security, and fit our budget. Being the first, it set a precedent for all others to be compared to and was highly regarded by us. But alas, we were moving to West New York and the location would no longer make sense for us. The second one we attended was in Edgewater and from initial appearance, it was just as good. However, as time went on we began to see how poorly this place was being run. We noticed extreme chaos when picking up our daughter and kids always fighting/crying. Kids will be kids, but red flags get raised when the teachers are allowing this and not intervening at all. Personally, I witnessed a child crying while trying to eat his own rice wafer snack because all the other kids have already reached, grabbed, and tore off pieces for themselves to eat. The poor kid was so traumatized he could barely eat whatever he had left in his hand. I noticed this place really started to effect our daughter as she started to build her own defensive mechanism, biting. We withdrew immediately and found another daycare a little bit further down the street, also in Edgewater. This location was much more expensive, but we heard good things about it from others. We did find it unusual that they didn't allow parents to actually go inside the classrooms to pick up their kids, only allowed to wait in the foyer while the attendant in the front phoned for the teacher to bring the child to the parents. A big plus though was that breakfast and lunch were provided, but a real big negative was that the school closed for every little thing. Major holidays, minor holidays, religious holidays, long breaks, inclement weather (closed if it was announced there would be snow or it started snowing, not an actual storm), and etc. all lead us to scrounge for supplementary alternatives. Another red flag was the alarming rate of turnover for the teachers. Also, I found the outdoor park to be inadequate. We had heard about the plans for a TLE in Englewood Cliffs before they even broke ground. As construction began, we were interested as the reviews are very favorable for this franchise online. We actually went to their Hackensack branch to learn more about this company and their curriculum. We came away so impressed, we enrolled our daughter and our then few months old son for this new school with finished product unseen. They became the inaugural class for this facility. Was this place perfect, the answer to our hopes/prayers, and better than any of the other locations we have been to? Definitely not. To say the first few months were rough would be an understatement. It was not very organized and sometimes borderline dysfunctional. There were times where we considered if we had made a mistake in switching schools. So why stay? One answer, the owner... Lisa. You will never find another owner or investor as dedicated, understanding, compromising, and accepting of constructive criticism as her. She is always available, sitting right up in the front. My wife had multiple meetings with her about our concerns in the beginning and you can immediately see that she took them to heart as changes were immediate. We voiced our opinions of what we liked/didn't like from experience and what structure would work for the benefit of both TLE and the parents. It's very evident that Lisa cares a lot about the kids, the parents, and most importantly the employees. I don't think I have ever seen another daycare where the teachers were treated better, more as a resource than a commodity. From my experience, if you like your job and who you work for, you feel you have a vested interest in what you do. And in this regard, our kids are the ones that benefit. Facilities were great from the start since this location is brand new. A few months later and as attendance grew, food is now being provided (choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian). The center is closed only on real major holidays. They also work with you if you need to pull your kids out for short time. Other locations I have been to is either you risk losing your enrollment to a waiting list or you continue to pay to hold that position even though your child is not attending (paying for nothing). They also won't nickel and dime you if you pick up your kids late because something came up. They are very understanding and are always willing to work with the parents. I have never once felt like I was just another revenue stream for them. In the end, I can't say enough about this place. On the day of my daughter's graduation and watching the inaugural class move on, I can't help but to reminisce how far this place has come after the initial growing pains. We couldn't be happier with TLE Englewood Cliffs! We were nervous at first, sending our then 1 year old to daycare in the middle of COVID but it has been the absolute best decision we ever made. Antonella, Annette and the whole team are incredibly sweet and caring, welcoming our daughter each morning with warmth and comfort and always responsive to our questions or concerns. Our daughter is so excited to go to "school" every morning. We are able to see pictures of her daily, uploaded on their app and she always looks like she's having a blast whether during circle time, on the playground, learning physical fitness poses, hand painting or making other art projects. She is also learning a ton! Every day she comes home with new words and skills. We are beyond impressed with this location and highly recommend to anyone in the area thinking about daycare. They have a flexibility schedule (could do 3 days, 5 days, half days etc) and compared to other daycares in the area is very reasonable priced for the quality of care and education provided as well as lunch and snacks. Thank you TLE for taking amazing care of our little girl. We plan on sending our newborn there in a few months and know she will be in great, trusted hands. read more

My daughter changed her day care after 1 month. First, the staffs didn't communicate well each other. When I toured the center, they told me, my daughter could start in twaddler room, but the first day, they changed her class to toddler class after I left my daughter, even without any mention. On the my baby's birthday week, I asked to the staff at the front, when her transition will start, and she said transition would start on the birthday. I expected that, but after then, nobody told me about transition, and even they didn't know my daughter's birthday. Second, my daughter got scratch on her face. It was quiet noticeable. I asked about the situation, and the accident report but the staffs said, they couldn't write the report, because they missed how my daughter got heart. Also, I asked her if I could watch the surveillance camera, then she said that it was hard to watch because it is too long to check the accident. Even the owner didn't report anything about the accident. I couldn't believe the center anymore, and also I didn't feel that they're interested in caring my baby. I don't think, all the teachers are same, because I didn't experience all of them, but my experience was bad. The staffs, owner, and the center. read more

My daughter has learned a lot at TLE. She loves her teacher, Miss Bianca, and talks about her all the time. The admin and staff have been kind and flexible. Strongly recommended ! My daughter was there since she turned 6 weeks old, we felt like family there and she was surrounded by a lot of love. This is probably the worst Day care in the area! my daughter was there since 5 month old. I have to take her out because there is so much teacher rotation and no transparency with the parents. everything seems nice but its really not. teachers are not satisfied with the treatment and therefore kids are getting bad experiences with overcrowded classrooms because there is very little staff. I am sorry because i believed in this day care since they open, and unless there is someone else in charge now, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone read more

My daughter had to change preschools many times because of frequent traveling abroad. She has been to The Greenhouse Preschool, Goddard School and finally The Learning Experience Englewood cliff. When my daughter came back from Korea, there was no space available at Goddard School which she used to go for more than a year. I had to pay full tuition for two months to reserve my daughter's place during two months of absence, which is very common in other preschools also. So I have some experiences and ideas to compare TLE with other pre-schools. The facility and staffs are very satisfying. Nice location and very safe environment for children. There are so many options with times so you don't have to feel like paying too much for daycare or preschool. Also teachers and Staffs are very young and energetic, especially , Ms. Erica and Mr. Steven of preschool2 class, my daugher's class now. Whenever I pick up my daughter, she is so happy. read more

We just moved from NY to NJ 3 months ago and after doing some online research for daycares in the area that close no earlier than 6:30 PM, it wasn't long before we found TLE and they were hosting an open house not too long after we found this place, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect and the open house was also on a weekend, which meant we didn't have to take time off from work to visit the facility. The open house had so many fun treats and even a live petting zoo. The initial tour was great and everyone was very helpful and friendly, not to mention, very informative. Everything seemed up to date technology-wise and each room was set up like an organized classroom. First impressions matter a lot and this school definitely made us feel comfortable. The school my son used to go to in NY is very small and does not allow you to bring food from home, so on days he didn't eat the food that was given to him, he would always come home hungry. Play time outside was having the kids hang out in front of the school and drawing with chalk on the sidewalk, which didn't make me feel comfortable knowing how close they were to the street, but that school seemed to be the best option given our circumstances. Don't even get me started with how many days they were closed due to holidays, spring break, winter break, teacher orientation, etc. and we still had to pay for all those days and end up using all our personal days because of that. Doesn't make sense why a daycare would close on all those days, so when we found out TLE only closes on major holidays, that was a big plus and they even close 30 minutes later than the previous school he went to, which also helps being that we both work in NY. They were also very understanding the day there was a minor snow storm that NJ Transit wasn't prepared for and we didn't end up picking up our son until close to 10:30 PM, they could've charged us the usual rate per minute for being late, but they charged less than half the rate given the circumstances. They even allow you to pay half the tuition during the first month and the balance half during the later half of the month. They also have an outdoor gated playground. My son, like most kids starting at a new school, was shy at first, but his teacher told he has come out of his shell. He also loves going to school and has even made some close friends. The other school used to send 1 random picture a day, but TLE has an app that allows you to check your child's daily activities with usually about 3-4 pictures, whether they ate, how much they ate, if they napped, went to potty, etc. and he always looks so happy in the pictures, which makes me happy! The teachers even tell me how sweet he is, which I think has a lot to do with their environment also because I was getting quite the opposite comments from his previous school, but the environment there was always so chaotic and had no structure either. They have various events in TLE and also have their own L.E.A.P. workbooks that help them learn new things everyday. He comes home singing the days of the week and the months of the year song (songs I haven't taught him at home) and makes me so proud that he's learned so much at such a young age. I know this school is good if even my husband, who's always skeptical about everything, is convinced. We hope our son only continues to have a good experience at TLE! read more

This is a great school; my boys have flourished since joining. They come home with so many stories and new skills; we are thrilled. The teachers are very attentive, especially in the preppers class. They were so helpful in helping us get our boys potty trained. Also, all throughout the year they have a lot of activities for the kids (fire trucks, petting zoos, art, parades, etc.). The administrator is very accommodating and makes drop off and pick ups easy for working parents who are rushing to get there on time. We're happy to have found a place where our boys can learn while having fun and making new friends. read more

I've had the chance to edit my review and wanted to glance back at the experience of this location. I will discuss the educational factor, which is unique and engaging for children and families. Children are exposed to a variety of activities that enhances and helps to grow fine motor ( tracing, cutting, ripping paper) exercise, balls, bikes, dancing, music, etc) and that goes without saying, their phonics program and literacy is also different and helps children to recognize letters out of order, common sight words and combine this type of learning through the funny and comical characters of TLE, which to date, has over 90. Children get to move freely from station to station, explore and get in touch with sensory integration ( play dough, sand, textures of papers and plenty of mediums) and get to experience a technology room time, an indoor gym, as well as an outdoor playground. All classrooms have bathrooms and a cleaning service is included, which leaves teachers to do what they do best, take care of and teach children. Lisa, the owner, will answer to all your needs. I miss greatly my encounters with her and promise you'll experience the joys I've had at this location. read more

My baby has been going this daycare for 4 months now and both my husband and I are happy with this daycare. When she first started, she was the youngest baby in her class and you can imagine how a mother must feel leaving her newborn at daycare. I was very sensitive and it was a difficult time for me. There is no such thing as being "too sensitive" or being paranoid when it comes to your child. They are your first priority and you want the best care for them. In the beginning, there were a few hiccups that they quickly ironed out. I have no doubt in my mind that the teachers love and care for the children there and you can feel how passionate Lisa (owner) is towards the care of these children and her daycare. You can speak to her about your child and you have her full attention. Things are addressed quickly so you know you are in good care. My 2 year old and 4 year old have been attending full time for about a year now and we have had a great experience. Before starting here I visited every day care and preschool in Fort Lee and Englewood Cliffs, and there was really no comparison to The Learning Experience's facility. It's clean, new, safe, and the teachers are beyond pleasant, friendly and helpful. It's a great environment. I was shocked to see how dirty, small, and uninviting some of the other schools were. Most of the places I saw I could never leave my kids there. Both of my kids look forward to going there every day and love their teachers. Without a doubt their language and social skills have improved dramatically. The school provides lunch and snacks and I was happy to see my kids being given quality food like organic juice and apple slices. And from a pricing perspective I thought it was clearly the best deal for what you get because it cost less or it was the same as the other schools, and the other schools provided much less.
