As a parent, I felt really good about dropping off my kids here as I knew they were taken care of very well. The place is very clean and the curriculum is engaging. I can tell how much my children enjoy it as they do a great job of sending daily updates and photos which really help us get a good grasp of what they do all day. Also, my kids always left with a big smile on their faces. This only happens when the people who operate this place truly care about the children. I can say my experience was about as good as it gets and we absolutely plan on bringing the kids back very soon. I noticed there were some legacy negative reviews that were tied to the previous ownership - but speaking from experience I can say unequivocally that this daycare is absolutely pristine and the right place to send my kids to. We've had some good and not so good experiences with other options and Genesis is without doubt on top of the list as I feel confident they take great care of the kids and keep parents regularly updated with their daily communication. Highly recommended.

A perfect, all 5s, rating is rare for any establishment -- especially a daycare, which is charged…read morewith our most precious valuables! However, there is a reason that the praises of this daycare/preschool cannot be sung enough! It is amazing! I'm incredibly grateful for the care that my daughter has received here. My daughter began attending Lightbridge in April 2017, on the day that they began accepting children. My daughter was only 9 months old and I hated to leave her but work and life necessitated it. Admittedly, I was skeptical about the services at first as the center replaced another place which closed down. (They are not affiliated in any way.) However the location is ideal for commuters to NYC and I was really impressed with the full renovation and design. I loved the outdoor play/water-play area and the indoor gym. So I decided to take a chance. I couldn't have been more pleased! The lead teacher for the infants, Mrs. Jackie was a God-send! I am not being quaint when I say that she felt like family. My daughter was able to love her like an aunt/ grandma figure. And I genuinely feel that Mrs.Jackie cared about all of the kids in her program. I appreciated the consistency of the days. There is a high turnover rate at a lot of daycares and yet, Mrs.Jackie was a constant. Kids need consistency. That was invaluable! We are expecting again soon and I have no qualms about returning to work sooner and entering my 6 week old child into Mrs.Jackie's Care. Next, for a small fee, parents can purchase the "WatchMeGrow" Service. It is a private, secure, video feed of your child during the day. I set up the feed's app on my iPad in my office and then I can watch my daughter play and learn all day. For a working parent, it is priceless! That service alone is reason enough to join the center. Also, you can link 3-4 accounts together. My husband was deployed overseas and he too was able to watch the baby play. I feel that it helped maintain his bond with her. I definitely recommend the service! Also, they use the Tadpoles program to track your child's day. I know exactly how much wet diapers, bowel movements, meals, fluids, and sleep my child went through in a day. However my favorite part of the app is definitely the photos! They take photos of the kids playing all day! Some of my favorite photos of my daughter were actually taken at daycare and they're professional grade. Now, not every photo is hanging-worthy but I have a way to track and remember her life experiences. Lastly, to the most important aspect, the education. I am incredibly pleased with my daughter's vocabulary and it skill set and it all began at Lightbridge! At 20 months she speaks ~100 words and she is making phrases. She knows body parts, animals and animal sounds, nursery rhymes/songs, some colors, and some shapes. I recently had her evaluated as an admission process to a prestigious preschool and she excelled with FLYING colors. (It is trivial but she sang "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" and sealed the deal) Also, we hadn't worked on the color "black" at home (its not one of our flash cards for some reason) but when she got in the car TODAY, she pointed at the seat and said it. She had to get that from daycare. So, I'm not guaranteeing that she will be admitted to all the Ivies but she has a good foundation so far! Then, her motor skills are also advanced! She does 'gymnastics' at another facility and her ability is clearly enhanced from playing on the equipment at Lightbridge twice a day -- and I'm being modest! In the most competitive preschool marketplace in the world, I think it is essential to start your kids off with the best possible foundation! I have found it for a reasonable price (with military discount) at Lightbridge!!! I HIGHLY recommend! Edited add: One of the most beautiful gifts about Lightbridge is the diversity of the children. Because of the slightly restrictive price they have similar socioeconomic backgrounds. However, each race, creed, color, and ethnicity is included. My daughter's childhood best friend is of a completely different ethnicity than her and it works! In today's America and the global economy, I'm fortunate that she was exposed to diversity so early. Cons: - You must pay with a ACH Debit from a checking account. I wish I could use my debit card for budgeting purposes. - The mealplan is new and I'm not too familiar with it. Most foods are provided by the parents all day. So that's an additional cost. - You cannot leave food daily due to expiration dates etc so that means that you have to pack a bag DAILY of food/ drinks which can be cumbersome. - Although all holidays are celebrated from around the world, there is no religious education in this curriculum. Even if every creed was included, it'd be nice to have some kind of exposure there but... nothing is perfect and I understand that it is easier for inclusion to leave it out.

I deeply regret sending my baby to this daycare, and I wish I had done more research into its…read morepublic complaints (3 filed complaints already) and inspection history (a Temporary license with repeated noncompliance over months) before enrolling. My baby was in the infant class, and I have serious doubts about the professionalism of the staff there, as well as their certifications and background checks. A worker repeatedly pushed my baby down into the crib while she was trying to arch her back and lift herself up. On another occasion, my baby was left crying in a high chair for over ten minutes with no one attending to her, then was wheeled into the kitchen area facing away from the camera -- seemingly to keep this out of view. When my baby dropped her pacifier on the floor, the worker put it right back to her mouth without even rinsing it off. This is even more troubling given that their "no shoes" policy to the infant room is essentially not enforced -- I personally witnessed multiple people walking through the infant room in outdoor shoes with no intervention from staff. When I raised these concerns with the head teacher, Joycelyn, and the blonde woman at the front desk, I was met with attitude and dismissiveness rather than a genuine response. The moment I saw how they handled a legitimate concern, I took my baby home and never went back. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. Look up this facility's public licensing record via New Jersey Child Care Explorer. As of this writing, the facility has three complaints on public record -- including one describing a staff member repeatedly pushing down on an infant's head, similar to what my own child experienced. There's also a broader pattern of noncompliance, and the facility currently holds a Temporary license rather than a Regular one. That's a meaningful red flag worth weighing seriously -- not just a paperwork technicality.

In this location they did not have the children engaged in the activities and were not paying attention to them. We paid a lot of money for the camp but it did not meet our expectations. If you are looking forward to having your child have a good time during camp do not enroll them at this location. They reached out to the parents and said that out of 20 kids, there was a group of 10 kids who not engaged or paying attention. I believe if 50% of the children are not engaged, they need to change the activities to make them more interesting to the children.

We started out with great hopes but the underlying problem of this school surfaced pretty fast. This is a one-person show and the rest of the teachers and aids are changing very fast. The Montessori method is great but keeping children sitting on the line for an extended period of time is simply unacceptable. Also, each time when they line up for any activity they have to stand motionless otherwise they won't participate in any activity. Her solution - sit back on the line. So what are they doing all day?! Nothing! Young children should never experience such harsh treatment. This woman shows no genuine emotions towards the children. Her only way to manage the classroom is by screaming and yelling. Harsh verbal discipline (HVD) is scientifically proven to be harmful therefore it is a wrong choice to keep the children under control. The last drop before we pulled out when we realized the water bottle was almost full in the lunch box after a whole day in school. Imagine your child was neglected without drinking for more than 6 hours. Extremely disappointing experience! No trust what so ever! Oh, and your children's vocabulary will pick up a few new expressions such as: "I am overwhelmed with you"; "Shut your mouth!"; "Be quiet" and "It is your fault". Isn't that great!? I am very happy that I could save my child from this bad energy and harmful environment.

I really appreciate how they cater to my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and always encourage her to go a step further. As someone who works with young children myself, it was very difficult finding the right preschool but I am so confident that she is in the right place. Aside from her amazing teachers, the administrative staff is also wonderful. Extremely accessible and accommodating (even when I made way too many changes to the schedule), and very friendly. Even the other teachers that we see in passing are always so friendly. It's a small school where you get to know the staff pretty well, unlike some other preschools/daycares that make you feel like you're just one faceless number in a crowd. Would definitely recommend this school. The only con is the location (fort lee) makes it hectic to drop off/pickup because the street turns into a 1 way and it's right across from one of the public schools so it get crowded. Also, the tuition rates are on the high end...but you are definitely getting what you pay for!

The camp includes daily swimming and tennis lessons, provides food, and--most importantly--really teaches kids how to swim properly and play tennis. Even if tennis isn't a child's sport of choice, it's such an important life sport, and the instruction here is outstanding. The swimming program overall is fantastic and genuinely builds strong swimmers, not just confident splashers. The tennis program is equally excellent for both kids and adults. Adults can jump into matches, enjoy friendly competition, and feel part of an active, social tennis community. What really makes EFC special are the shared moments.
