I had my child enrolled at Goddard 2016-2017 and removed my child from Goddard Rocklin. I never requested pampered treatment or special treatment for my child. I simply wanted to my child to be respected and cared for. Here are a few reasons why I chose to remove my child: my little one contracted numerous diaper rashes. My child's teachers did not change my child often enough and many times the BM was so dried in the diaper and stuck against my child's body--I knew it had been hours since the last diaper change. I had to keep my child home many times to allow for the skin to heal. I had to take my child to the pediatrician to have the rash treated. I provided diapers, diaper ointment, and asked for frequent changing and my child was not changed often. My child's bottles and belongings went missing at least a handful of times. Per the request of my child's teachers I labeled all belongings by first and last name (spare clothes, bottles, food, snacks) and it was kept in the cubby or fridge and labeled. How belongings go missing often without explanation was very upsetting. I constantly had to purchase and replace bottles because they were lost in my child's classroom. Lack of professionalism all around. A school is a professional environment my child looks up to and is aware of the surroundings. Nose piercings, visible body ink, tight fitting leggings, tight fitting garments my child's teachers dressed very unprofessionally. The school talks so much about STEAM but I did not see implementation of this with my child. My child either played indoors/outdoors with toys or their classmates. The one thing that was implemented with my child and shared by my child's teachers with me was the use of iPads to play videos to keep my child preoccupied. This was most concerning. The AAP has guidelines around the use of media and television. Goddard Rocklin teachers that my child had used their iPads to play videos of music to keep my child entertained versus hands on learning. My child went through 6 new teachers in one classroom within ONE YEAR! ONE YEAR!!! I can list all their names and know it by heart. Each time was a new adjustment for us and my child to become comfortable all over again, to adjust, to learn from a new teacher with new habits and an educational background. Consistency IS INTEGRAL in the early years. I felt it was a revolving door and never experienced consistency regarding the teachers my child had. I definitely do not recommend Goddard Rocklin to parents looking for a school in this community. It was extremely overpriced for us, lacked consistency, lacked professionalism we wanted for a school for our child to be in. We were excited to tour other schools in the community instead. My review is a truthful experience that I as a parent experienced and one that my child experienced..an all encompassing experience in which I am sharing with the community. Now that I am not longer a part of Goddard school and have removed my child I do not want to be contacted by Goddard. Too late. My review and experience is a true factual outline of the challenges and issues I had as a parent and my child had at your facility. I tried emailing owners and directors and I also sat down in person conveying my concerns and nothing was done and nor was I heard. Please understand that some experiences may be positive and some may be negative. Accept that. The beauty of Yelp is that it allows for all us humans to share "our experience" and what I wrote is what I experienced and what my child experienced at Goddard. The Goddard School has a wonderful staff that truly have the best interests of the children at heart. The staff prides themselves in providing the best educational experiences for all age groups and focuses on enhancing the lives of the kids. The teachers are all welcoming, kind and will greet you with open arms. The curriculum is child-led and STEM focused with tons of hands-on learning; the best way for a child to learn. We get updates thru and app and the teachers amazing at sending pictures during the day. We are able to message the teachers directly which has helped with the communication during COVID. However, the owners, Ash and Millie, are not as warm and friendly as the teachers they hire. The owners have zero regard for the livelihood of the children, families and staff. If you rub them the wrong way, they will continue to be unkind to you. I have witnessed the owners lacking smiles and their unfriendly demeanor while dropping off in the morning to myself, other parents and even staff. With COVID, we are not able to enter the building, so the owners and other staff take the children back to class. More often than not the owners tend to usher them into the building, without even saying hello to myself or other parents. However, when teachers are the ones at front, we always receive a warm welcome. We received a message recently regarding that the two regular directors would not be returning suddenly and now that they are no longer there, pick-ups and drop-offs are no longer smooth, friendly, or welcoming. I have often felt the owners feel that I am inconveniencing them when dropping off or picking up and have been told by other parents that they feel the same way. When I have called to ask questions, both owners have answered the phone suddenly and seemed distracted and wanting to end the call as quick as they could. When my family started at Goddard, I most definitely would have given a more positive review, but with the repetitive let downs, disrespect from the owners, and the negative recent changes in the front office, I sadly have to give a measly two star review. The one and only reason I am choosing to remain in this school is simply due to the fact that there are amazing teachers who truly care and are so warm and welcoming. read more

Our oldest son (5) has attended 4 day cares facilities/preschools in the greater Sacramento area. The Goddard School in Rocklin has the best staff, structured learning environment, and nurturing environment that we've experienced. Owners Millie and Ash are there every day greeting and admitting everyone as they arrive at school. They are passionately involved in all aspects of the school and it shows. The school foundation is 5 categories of learning: Language arts/performing arts, math/cognitive development, science, engineering, and special enrichments. Each week they target these 5 areas with different projects. For example, the science category for this week states "We made sunflowers with paper plates and learned the lifecycle of a sunflower." Each category has an activity for the week and they revisit it daily. Every week there is a new theme for learning. This week is Life Cycles. They are learning about the life cycle of caterpillars. This morning I saw 5 cocoons growing on a plant in a large jar. They are constantly transitioning to different projects throughout the day. Each day I receive a couple of pictures of my son doing different activities via the Goddard School app. It alerts me on pick up and drop off and any pictures taken during the day. The daily report details what they had at AM snack, lunch, and PM snack and how much they ate of each. It also tracks nap time. If there are any special notes home they are included in the daily report. I use the app all the time. It helps me engage with him at home asking pertinent questions about what he learned today. My 5 year old can be very challenging at times, but the staff at Goddard (especially Ms. April) has worked tirelessly to improve his behavior and awareness of his choices. The communication has been very effective in keeping us in the loop and tracking his progress. It is very apparent that they really do care about his growth as an individual in the school. We feel very lucky to have found Goddard in our community. It's hard to fully understand the value Goddard provides by reading this review, but I hope it gives you a glimpse of what they do. We recently moved to Rocklin CA and were looking for a Day Care for our kids. Luckily The Goddard School was newly opened and close to our home so we checked it out. Knowing that 90% of children brain develops before they reaches the age of 5 years, I was not looking just for a regular day care but rather for a place that can nurture their early development. Having our kids attending The Goddard School for 5 weeks now, I've already started to notice the improvement in their language skills and their behavior. Their curriculum is so rich and playful. They expose children to different experiences such as art, science, math, and reading. Their day is full of fun activities that improve their fine and gross motor skills, language, and social skills. My toddler son comes home saying a new word every day. My infant daughter has books read to her and is exposed to different shapes, colors, and textures. Then by the end of the day I receive their daily report which helps me track their daily activities. Not to mention the cleanness of the facility and the brand new toys they get to play with. The director Robyn is amazing. She is professional lady with a big heart. Teachers and staff are really sincere; they treat my children like their own. Just seeing the fun they have in the class, it makes me want to stay and play with them. The owners Ash and Millie are just wonderful. They welcome me every morning with warm greetings and genuine smiles, and they help me to get my kids to their classes. It's so obvious that they do enjoy what they are doing and they love being with children. Being new to the neighborhood, they make me feel welcome. Having my children attending The Goddard School showed us the difference between a good school and an EXCELLENT one. Good work guys, we are lucky to have you as part of our life! read more

Our daughter started attending the Goddard School when she was six months old, and she is now almost two. We are very impressed with the Goddard's F.L.E.X. approach to education, which, of course, would not be possible without dedicated teachers who do a miraculous job in their classrooms! Ms. Millie and Mr. Ash (the owners) have done an amazing job finding teachers with the right set of skills for each age group. Ms. Samantha's and Ms. Darci's warmth and loving care made our baby comfortable for her first discoveries in the Infants' class. At the First Steps class, where one year olds take their first steps to independence and expression, Ms. Trivia and Ms. Kristine instilled in our baby an interest in learning through curiosity and reading. Every day they had a new fun project/activity for the children to complete individually or as a group (e.g. planting radishes and observing them grow, making a "Friendship" fruit salad, "Patience" the choo-choo train, Yoga, and many many more!). In addition, Ms. Trivia and Ms. Kristine taught our daughter to communicate in sign language (she knew over 40 signs at the age of 18 months!), as well as orderliness and patience. They prepared her very well for the next class. At the Young Toddlers class, Ms.Caitlin, Ms.Tish and Ms. Jannette have admirable patience and a strong leadership skills to handle the "terrible twos". They are highly skilled in positive redirection and narrative communication, which we think encourages children to listen, process and learn better during their daily activities in the classroom or play. My daughter has attended Goddard School Rocklin since June 2021. Being a "covid kid", she had become even more shy and scared around other people, so we were nervous about putting her in preschool. The first couple of weeks, my daughter would cry upon drop off. She started with Ms. Michelle in Preschool 2 and immediately latched on to her. Ms. Michelle made her feel comfortable and safe in her home away from home, and she would not stop talking about Ms. Michelle every day when we picked her up! Slowly, Ms. Michelle helped her break out of her shell and start playing with kids around her and be more comfortable in class. To the point that my daughter would cry upon pickup because she did not want to come home! We are forever grateful that Ms. Michelle was our daughter's first teacher experience. Ms. Zoey was another teacher that my daughter loved while in Preschool 2! She also always talks about all of the front office staff, including other teachers like Ms. Ruth, Ms. Tommi, and Ms. Tish. Currently, she is in PreK with Ms. Sierra and Mr. Tony who she also loves and constantly talks about. My daughter has thrived in school, broken out of her shell, and comes home talking about all the things she has learned! She has also gotten more comfortable around other kids and made new friends. I am not someone to usually write reviews, however, I have been so happy since moving my child over to Goddard. Not only does my child seem to be much happier here, but my husband and I continue to feel like they are overwhelming loved and supported each day while we have to be away. Ms. Trivia and Ms. Kristine have already taught our child so much in just the short time we have been with them. The sign language and social engagement that our child has learned has helped the level of communication thrive! More importantly, our child was constantly sick and having issues with other children at a previous center. Since moving over to Goddard, our child has never been healthier and I attribute this to the clean and sterilized environment. I also think that this team does an amazing job at keeping the kids engaged at all times and maintaining small class sizes. This was a BIG change for us and has been super beneficial. The Goddard School in Rocklin is a phenomenal daycare/preschool. We are so happy we found this school! The owners Mrs Millie and Mr Ash pour their heart and soul into making this school a success. It is evident when you walk into the school how much love and time has been put forth into making this school feel warm and friendly. All the teachers we have had have been amazing! We loved Mrs. Caitlyn and Mrs. Katie in the toddler class(so much love shown towards my child)! We just started preschool with Mrs. Amber, Mrs. Caitlan and Mrs. Stefani and my daughter is loving their class! My older daughter started in Mrs. Mandi's class(we loved her!) then we progressed to Mr. Ian and Mrs. Brianna's class. We are now in Pre-K 2 with Mrs Megan and Mrs. Hannah(these teachers are so creative with their lesson plans!) I feel that my child is going to be way beyond prepared for kindergarten! I love how much focus the school puts on playing, exploration and creativity. We absolutely love The Goddard School in Rocklin CA. They are owned by a hard working caring smart couple who are determined to bring Bay Area quality early childhood education to the Rocklin area. Ash and Millie have worked tirelessly over the past 4.5 years to recruit and train passionate skilled teachers who are ready to prepare children for success in school and in life. They have a play based STEAM curriculum that emphasizes social and emotional skills as well. Their events are always over the top with mimosa brunches, life sized Disney characters, live music, catered food and more so that not only do the children have fun, but the parents do as well. It feels like they are helping to build a community in the Whitney Ranch area. From the moment you enter the building you can feel how passionate the teachers and Ash and Millie are about the overall experience that their families have. My grandchild has attended the school for years now and I cannot recommend this school enough. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! read more

Goddard Rocklin has been a wonderful school to my toddler who seems to enjoy every moment spent with his little friends and teachers, Mrs. Caitlyn and Mrs. Katie! The curriculum is thoughtful and age-appropriate with weekly themes and daily hands on learning experiences. The school environment is safe, clean, and welcoming, too. My son has severe food allergies, so the cleanliness and safety of the school are a top priority for our family. It is helpful that the teachers provide photos throughout each day to share their fun and sweet moments. Also, I look forward to reviewing his daily report in the Tadpoles app to fill in the rest of the important details (food consumption, diapering, personalized communication, etc.). We are thrilled to experience our son's daily excitement as he skips into his classroom and confidently waves us out the door at drop off. The Goddard School has been amazing for my 18 month old son! he has been attending for six months, and the curriculum is structured and creative, with lots of fun activities and learning experiences which have really improved my son's development. We also get lots of pictures throughout the day, which gives us peace of mind that he is safe and having fun. Ms. Kristine, Ms. Trivia, and Ms. Kelly are so passionate and caring, and I know my son is good hands all day. They go above and beyond, and he is learning things like Spanish, sign language, and yoga. We also get a report at the end of each day that tells us what activities they did and details what they are learning and why. We are so happy that we moved our son to this school. We were at a place in Granite Bay and we didn't feel like he was being taken care of well. He started when he was almost 6 months old. At the old place- I would walk in and he was always laying on the floor, alone and crying. It broke my heart. We were referred to Goddard by a friend of a friend and the difference is night and day. They do so many activities with the kids- art work, playing outside, sign language, etc. Currently my son is in the first steps class with Ms Trivia and Ms Kristine. We are so lucky to have both of them looking after him each day and taking care of him. It's clear that both of those teachers care for their classroom kids as if they were their own. We absolutely LOVE Goddard! My son has been attending this school for 1.5 years and I can honestly say it is the best decision I have ever made. The Level of education he receives is amazing. The owners Ash and Millie are so involved and work hard to make this place awesome. I do not know how they do it on top of having 3 boys of their own. All of the activities they do for the parents and kids just blows me away. The daily updates we receive on the tadpoles app makes me feel involved in my child's day to day activities and reassures me of the level of care. The Goddard School has been amazing for my two children. My infant receives all the love and attention you could want while in a learning environment that is clean and safe. My three year old is thriving and is smarter than you can imagine. We absolutely love The Goddard School! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff. As first-time preschool parents, we weren't sure what to expect, but our experience has far exceeded our expectations. The teachers create a safe, nurturing environment where our child is thriving. The healthy snacks encourage kids to explore new foods, and the curriculum is amazing! Our 2-year-old is already using scissors, counting, singing songs, saying "please" and "thank you," and has even started potty training. We have two girls at Goddard and love the community! The teachers are an excellent balance between fun/creative and fair/disciplined. Our girls love the quirky guests they have to teach them about science, nature, music, and healthy habits. They have many extracurriculars like Spanish and soccer. We have enjoyed their anniversary celebrations and concerts, where they tend to cater to the parents just as much as the kids! Today is our daughter's last day at the Goddard School in Rocklin. She has been there since January of 2019 when she was 6 months old. All of the teachers and staff are now like family to us. They took Devon in with open arms and helped mold her into the beautiful young lady that she is today, ready and excited for Kindergarten. My son thrived during his time at The Goddard School. His teachers, Ms. Kristine and Ms. Trivia, were instrumental in his growth and development. I never had any worry about leaving him in care. My son walked into his classroom every morning ready for me to leave so that he could get his hugs in with both of his teachers.
