There is something really special about this school. My son attended preschool here and I still enroll him in the summer camp program. My daughter currently attends daycare full-time here as well. The Director, teachers and staff truly care about the development and safety for the kids. They teach them academics while having a lot of fun. As a working mom, I never have to worry about my kids. I know they are in great hands and the best part is they don't want to leave! They love this school, which relieves a lot of stress for us parents. Contacted the school to set up a tour and was provided a link via email to do so. I scheduled a tour and the next day received a phone call to schedule a tour. I explained I already had one scheduled and received a confirmation email. The director said "okay see you then" and hung up. I ended up needing to cancel the tour and replied via email that I needed to cancel (as the email instructed) and stated I would contact the school when I needed to reschedule. I've received phone calls almost everyday for the last 2 weeks asking to reschedule and every time I've answered I've explained and made it explicitly clear that I would call to reschedule and they did not need to call me so frequently. My daughter has been attending Cadence Academy since she was 15 months old, and she is now part of their Pre-K curriculum and will stay through Kindergarten. Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff, the environment, and the programs and activities planned throughout the year. I have had my son here for awhile now, as we moved him from a different preschool that was across town. I really feel the curriculum is much stronger at Phoenix School as opposed to the last preschool my son attended. My son is currently in the Open Court class which is mainly 4 year olds. He knows all his numbers, letters, some sight words and is beginning to read! He is so proud to show me his daily letter practice which he brings home. In the beginning when my son was adapting, the director and assistant director were very accommodating with my son and let him hang out up front until one of his favorite teachers, Miss Bridgette, arrived each day. They have bunnies, guinea pigs and the whole place just feels homey. We started our 2 year old daughter with Cadence Academy Preschool in Rocklin 5 months ago after relocating to the area. Very simply put we absolutely love everything about Cadence Academy. Would 100% recommend to any parent looking to enroll their child in a very balanced learning environment with the most amazing teachers & directors. Our daughter gets so excited each morning getting ready to go to school to see her teachers and friends. They truly care about each kid and give them love and attention everyday. Class is well balance with a teacher to student ratio and the class in general is very friendly and fun. -Learning Curriculum is well balanced with academics, social, and fun. Everyday she comes home having learned so many new things. I'm blown away. -Potty Trainer - They are very supportive and doing a great job helping in this area -Daily Parent Updates: The app that lets me know what goes on during the day is typically filled out and I can follow along what's happening through the day. Despite the initial problems scheduling a tour, I decided to go ahead and try out Cadence. Not every preschool in this area makes lunch for the kids so that was a big driver for me. My son has been here a few months now and has really been enjoying all the activities and making new friends. When I had a family emergency and needed to add my other son into the program the directors were super accommodating. We really appreciate their willingness to make adjustments for us during a trying time. Our younger son also has a speech delay and teacher Amber went ahead and asked us how they can help him out at school. Overall it's been a great experience. read more

I have had my 3 year old enrolled at Cadence for a little over a year now and they have been nothing short of wonderful. Almost instantly after enrolling my child I noticed a huge leap in social skills and excitement to learn, it was so encouraging to see! This review is long overdue. We moved to the area about 2 years ago and interviewed several preschools in the area. The staff at Cadence were warm, friendly, and very welcoming. We enrolled immediately following our first visit to the school (2018). My 5 year old son, currently enrolled in the Kindergarten class at Cadence, is already reading, spelling, adding and subtracting, and is even learning to speak Spanish. His progress is due to the dedication of his teacher Ms. Manvinder. Her patience and commitment to her students promotes a healthy and safe learning environment. The Directors Ms. Ali and Ms. Celeste ensure the children and parents feel welcome and are always available to discuss any questions, concerns, or to provide feedback on the progress of my little guy. I can call and text and am always responded to promptly! The customer service is beyond exceptional. The school is clean, well maintained, and I highly recommend this facility for any parents looking for a safe and healthy environment for their children to thrive in. I highly recommend Cadence. My son has been enrolled for almost two years now. They do an amazing job in individualizing each child's needs. My son had a hard time transitioning between classes and they worked with him on his pace. We started about a month ago, and everyone has been fabulous. My just turned 4 year old cries every morning at drop off, but they are always so patient with us. I love getting the picture and informational updates. My son comes home every day saying "that was fun." I'm so glad we started him there, so he can be prepared for public school later on. They also get him to eat food that he would never eat at home! They provide transportation to some of the nearby public schools too, I think. Whenever we run into a Phoenix staff member at Breen when we are dropping off or picking up my older son, they always make it a point to stop by and say hi to us. We previously were in an in-home type daycare back where we used to live and while that definitely had it's positive points, we were looking for a more structured school environment to better prepare our youngest for TK next year. read more

Our 5-year old son attends the "Open Court" class which focuses on literacy and early math. Both teachers have experience far beyond pre-school having taught other levels of K-12, therefore they know what they are needed to prepare the kids for as they enter kindergarten. They also reach out when they want the input of parents on where to focus both academic and social development knowing it takes coordination at home and school. I have removed the names to protect the individuals who participated in this conversation. Let's just say at the time, they are supposedly the director and assistant director of the school. To Whom It May Concern: I attended a back to school night last week at the Rocklin school on Theona Way. I have to say I was taken aback by the absolute filth in the school. When I mentioned the cleanliness to someone, I believe Susie, she mentioned there was a flood a week or so ago and this was the reason. Based on my observations, this had nothing to do with the issues I noticed. The shelves in the children's bathrooms are covered in garbage, empty food boxes, bins, etc. The cubbies in the classrooms are falling apart and haven't been cleaned in quite some time. There was a plastic storage drawer in one of the classrooms that covered in filth and the children are exposed to this on a daily basis. The yard is in complete disarray. The computer room is on complete disarray. I did not visit every classroom, but what I did notice I would not feel comfortable with the level of cleanliness of this place. Does anybody at this school care at all about cleanliness. I do not understand how 20+ people work at the facility and it can get to be so bad. I was honestly shocked. TO ME: Good Afternoon Brian, Thank you for your concern in regards to our school. We take the concerns that families give us to heart, and always welcome them in hopes that we can correct and be better in the future. We are truly shocked at your displeasure with the cleanliness of our school. We pride ourselves in the ability to maintain a successful, safe school while being able to be clean and organized all together. We have never received such a complaint about how the teachers maintain the classes, as well as the outside space/computer room. We wanted to address some of the complaints one at a time so that you can better get an idea of what might have been going on. The shelves in the children's bathroom are used for teacher storage. This includes; saving boxes (sometimes food) for art projects, bins that need to be rotated into the classroom, as well as items that can't be stored inside the classes themselves. Any items that are in the classroom need to be utilized by the children, thus making the bathroom shelves for example a place for teachers to store supplies, art project materials ect. I am sorry that you felt as though there were shelves that were falling apart. As time goes on, the items in the classroom tend to wear down. Replacing the larger items such as shelves in the classrooms does cost money. We are on a very strict budget to maintain our school, so buying new larger items does take some time. With that, we have to assess the items that need to be replaced first due to safety and move down the list from there. We want nothing more than to have new items in each and every class. We think that would add to our already wonderful classroom environment, and we are still actively working on maintaining that goal for the future, it just takes time. We have a premier janitorial service that comes to clean our school every night. They clean all of the classrooms, wax the floors every couple of months, and deep clean the carpets. With so many children coming in and out of the classrooms, it can get messy very quickly. Part of our teachers expectations is also to maintain a clean and sanitary room on a daily basis which is what they do. We are so terribly sorry that you were not pleased with our school. We pride ourselves on how successful, safe, and clean are school is and take this concern very seriously. We want our customers to be happy with the environment that their children are in and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that necessary changes are made to keep their happiness. We have touched base with all of our teachers in regards to this concern to make sure that no family feels the way you do. We would be happy to discuss this with you further if you please. My daughter has been at this Phoenix School since March 2005, and it has been nothing but amazing!!! I was very nervous about leaving my first born with strangers, but Phoenix came highly recommend by several friends. It was so good that in December 2008 I enrolled my newborn son. We have been at Phoenix a total of 9 years! Both of my children have been through the infant, toddler and pre-k programs. My daughter attended the kindergartner class and it too was great. The staff and administration is caring, helpful and kind. I have actually had some staff babysit for me on the weekend (they are fingerprinted and already know my kids, so its a no brainer!)Both of my children entered public school behaviorally and academically prepared. My children now attend their after school program. They are picked up after school and are taken by van back to Phoenix. They are given snack and can get their homework done. My children enjoy going to Phoenix. The Phoenix Schools tuition is not cheap, but you get what you pay for! I have looked at other facilities nearby (corporate and in home daycare) and there is no comparison. Phoenix is safer, cleaner, offers more curriculum and is just more welcoming! read more

We are fortunate our son is enrolled in the kindergarten class at The Phoenix School in Rocklin. He has a wonderful teacher who focuses on her students' individual development, makes learning fun and communicates well with us, the parents. She informs us in advance of what the students will learn in class, what we can do to help our children succeed in kindergarten and encourages parental involvement.
