I can be a bit of a drive (out West in Loxahatchee) but it's worth it. It's hard to describe in words how much fun this truly is, particularly with these unique instructors that make you feel at-home, no matter your age, shape/size, athletic ability, or fear of heights. I've seen old-and-young, fit and not-so-fit, and just about everyone we've watched has had a great time. If it's your first time, you don't need to have any experience of special ability, not that I'm aware. We've watched 8 year old children pick it up quickly. Here's a quick preview of what to expect: For the first 20 minutes or so, they'll give you a tutorial and work with everyone in a group. Typically there will be roughly 10 people involved. Next they'll have people line-up to head up the ladder and try the trapeze. They have safety harnesses and there does not appear to be any serious risk. Yet your brain will tell you that you're not in a harness, while your heart beats in exhilaration. In fact, every time I've visited trapeze, I've completely forgot that I'm harnessed and adrenaline is in high-gear. After three attempts to get the basics down, they'll allow you to try a catch. This is where you let go of one bar and you are caught by an instructor swinging on another bar. After each session, you'll fall to the net, doing a flip that will come natural. Here again, they counterweight the harness so that you aren't risking your life. Once you finish, you'll watch the others in your group. About ten minutes later it will be time for you to go again. By the time it's over you'll feel exhilarated. And if you've never done it before .. The next day your muscles will let you know that you've moved parts of your body in a way they've never moved before! The price is about $50 per person and the experience lasts about two-plus hours total. One final tip: Before you arrive, take a look at their website to get a list of tips/FAQ's. There are certain types of clothing, etc -- that make a better experience for everyone.

We went to listen to our 9 year old granddaughter sing one song in her school chorus there. Parking is available for $25 and valet is $35 but if you have a handicap placard, it's free. When we went in, there was lots of signage. The park is gorgeous. Clean, lots of security, blooming flowers, lush greenery. Unfortunately we missed the chorus because they started earlier than the time they told us to be there. However, we met up with rest of family and enjoyed the park. The kids went on the carousel. I joined them. Then there were kiosks filled with various merchandise which they were selling. Afterwards, there was an equestrian jumping competition. I was in awe. There was stadium seating. This was all FREE! There was a huge screen broadcasting the entire event for all to see. Food areas were on the grounds to purchase fast food. It was something to behold and we can't wait to return another time with other friends to view the horses and next competition. I understand they have this every Saturday.

There are plenty of areas to take photos with statues of horses, a free merry go round, flowers, etc. It was great entertainment. I grew up competing and riding hunter jumpers, so I am partial ... however I think anyone would enjoy an evening out viewing these beautiful horses, people watching, eating and shopping! Enjoy! Our husbands made it a guys night and dropped us off which was a great idea since their parking lot is small and we went on a Saturday night. We did our research and found that you could bring snacks and beverages. So we stocked up on wine, cheese and crackers. Something light to munch on while painting. Our class was pretty full and the instructor had a mic so everyone could hear. She even would walk around the room to help with any questions and offer some tips. She was very good at instructing and I thought everyone's painting turned out great! It was very interesting to see that we all painted the same concept yet they were all so unique and pretty. The class last about 2 hours. The staff gathers your groups together so they can take a photo of you with your masterpiece. This was such a fun and different girls night out option over the usual "let's go to a bar for happy hour". They offer lots of classes throughout the week and even multiple classes in one day. The studio is fairly large with high ceilings. They provide all the supplies for you to paint and they give you an apron to wear but be sure to wear clothing that you don't mind getting paint on. One of us four got a little paint on their outfit.
